Loud restaurants are a major turn-off for many diners. But a new
sound system -- disguised as art and controlled by an iPad -- is
helping one Berkeley restaurant control the noise of those annoying
background conversations.

I don't like it either and I don't have anything to hide. The fact of the matter is that we live in a crooked world. I feel the same way about OnStar and their ability to listen in on your car.

The supermarket called Wegmans by us has been using this technology by us since they opened last year. They installed microphones thought the store and it adjusts the music volume level based on that area of the stores ambient volume level.

yeah the onstar thing is just plain creepy at least with this its like headphones were it listens to output a counter sound to make it neutral
