I got this set for about 10$ I know! 10 DOLLARS! My local art store was getting rid of all its derwent products. I bought one of everything they sell, all the 72 set pencils, all the watercolor pencils, colorsoft, charchols, EVERYTHING! So pleased I got it all for a song. These are so interesting, the colors are so unique and they are basically permanent, even more so than the inktense. Love em, and love your videos!!!
I love Derwent! I got a 72 set of their inktense blocks and an empty watercolor tin and made myself a large range watercolor style travel set with it. So much fun.
I love your channel. I only recently found you on here and I am just deep diving in all your fantastic vids. So much wonderful info on my favorite topic. Art Supplies!
Thanks!
There is something so wonderful about opening new art supplies! I love your videos, especially the painting/drawing ones! TFS!
Only with you painting would I sit and watch someone paint marbles - and enjoy it! I normally use Prismacolor pencils and gamsol or water colour pencils when I make cards. I would love some of the Intense pencils and they are on the wish list for sure.
Love your marbles !!! It would also be a great idea for a background !!
Thanks for sharing one again !
Love what you did with the pencils, wish you were next door so that l could take lessons. Keep up the tutorials.
TH-cam put this in my feed today. I watched your recent video on using the graphitint pans and pencils. I had to order some of these pencils right away! Please do some more videos on the pencils. I really like how you used then on wet paper too.
I love, love, LOVE Derwent pencils. I have some of the graphitints myself, as well as Inktense and the watersoluble graphite. I honestly think they make the best pencils in the world, bar none. I really enjoyed your vid. I always do!
Hi I was wondering if you still enjoy using the graphitint derwent pencils I have a gcard, money really tight right now so I've been trying to watch reviews on both and trying to figure where each product comes from... and I watched the pior video and the pencil set video from seven yrs ago that was shown ,I just want to make a good decision about how to spend the gift card is the pan set hard to open does the palette come from china verus the derwent graphitint coming from Britain? I was hoping to be able to make a better decision but I've sometimes get bad arthritis in my fingers so opening things on certain days are hard, but do you feel you get a better value from the pencils or pans? I wish I could win the lottery than I'd beable to buy each and try both but ...I've yet been able to get the lottery win..lol thank you for any help you can give me....mikelle art mom🎨✍
Love the marbles and the pencil's awesome! Thank you for sharing! Would never never get sick of you! always enjoy your video's hugs Liz x
Insider tip, lol: If you press a little harder and add just a little water you will see a fine sheen of light. I also wondered if you have used inktense blocks. I love those for covering large areas. The type of brush you use with Graphitint will give a different appearance. Harder brushes will add texture, softer brushes will blend...etc. Also the paper can make a difference as with any medium.
thanks, !'ll try it!
oh I love your marbles!!!! and no way would be sick of you!!!!
Thank you for demonstrating this. I love watching you work and learn from your techniques :) I had laughed so hard when you "lost your marbles" comment :)) TFS!!
Thank you Lindsay for sharing this information with us.
Thank you Lindsay ,been thinking about getting some of these pencils. Have you or are you doing any more work with them .
These are pretty. I noticed and liked the muted colors as soon as you wet them.
I have never try these pencils but really like prismacolour. Also I think I mentioned to you before- you can rotate your clip in your editing program . You work great upside down which is amazing but should you want to work in the regular way then just rotate the clip. If you need more info drop me an email. You can see my tutorial to see what I mean. But Im so impressed with all your work and how to paint in a different angle.
I got a set of 12 tonight at half off. Can't wait to try them.
So glad I found this video I just learnt about these the other day and added them to my cart. I would love to be good enough to draw the sea horse on the lid. Now that you had them awhile are you still happy with them
I love marbles, and your drawings are great.
thanks so much:)
Just got them. Haven't used them yet.
I saw your halloween sat chat videos and left a question about graphitint pencils and you referred me to the paint palette so I I rewatched your updated version of pan graphitint, do u still like the pans better then the pencils? I have a gcard and these are what I'd like to purchase but I cant decided which type to get the pans or pencils I'm a drawer first but I like the video review you did of graphitint pans...which do u find easy to use? I have sometimes somewhat limited arthritis in my fingers so I was wondering is the palette panset hard to open? Sometimes having two many options are hard🤔🤦♀️ since you get more colors in pencil set is that a better value do to having more product versus how much the pan palette is..I'm really confused on value of amount verus pens/ pans...thank you for any help if any artist from our community has a opinion on this I'd appreciate it...mikelle art mom🎨✍
I prefer the pan paints but I use watercolor more than pencils so that might be why. Only you know what's best for you.
Very cool Lindsay- thanks!
Nice, very vintage-ey colors. Still keeping the Inktense on my list and Yes, I'm trying to stay on the "nice "list...
How did it dry? Did the colors fade? I love Derwent. I have Prismacolor colored pencils and Derwent Watercolor pencils. I actually tried using both at the same time and made...a mess...lol. Luckily, I MEANT to do that (wink wink nudge nudge),,,lol.
they did not fade when they dried probably because you only add a tiny bit of water to dilute them:) I bought a couple prismacolor watercolor pencils and I did not care for them but I love Prismacolor's wax pencils;)
really like this a lot--what is the price range on these pencils. Love your channel
I got mine on sale for $22 for a set of 24 at Utrecht art and individually they were $1.69, they will cot more in a craft store so check around or use a coupon ;)
I really liked that, inspired I want to try this thank you
the other tip that we use for visiting instructors is to put an overhead mirror over them, then in the video, it looks like we are behind you
Did you use tripod camera to zoom in and out with the camera?
that was fun! think i'll keep my inktense pencils on my wish list, though. Did you hear me groan??? like in oh-no...i'm gonna have to decide all over again which ones I want. so many choices (so little moolah}. thanks for sharing that with us.
I'd go with inktense if there was a choice between the two, the inktense are more versatile and you can always buy a watersoluble graphite pencil for like $2 and add some graphite with that if you like;) But now you know and will not wonder if that is better:)
wow great fun i love ur videos fyi derwent has a youtube channel called derwentpencils and has great product info and an interesting tour of the plant and how some of pencils are made.
