For me it was a reminder pray for my adult children and not try to put my thoughts ways in them. Also to plan ahead in finances and retirement. Planning my retirement has been on my list along with helping my mom get her will or trust together. Mines is done and I need to get my trust notarized. This also was confirmation about mentoring my cousin while she’s with me in the LORD and her goals. This was great thank u
Letting go and making room for the new Yeses. Be teachable, malleable, but own it. Walk into spaces like a leader and show up to the meetings with a vision. Walk and talk with confidence with a hope in your new life. Digest and ingest. Grow. Stand in your power. Amen..❤
Oooh weeee… my key takeaway is remembering that my husband is the leader. It doesn’t matter what insight I may have, but to ask questions and watch my tone!🙌🏽
@@Morganneli Amen. Great take away. When you pour from the vessel of wisdom into the younger generation, it is so refreshing and encouraging to get feedback and refill from others. Thank you Jesus
Take away - you have to let go of what's comfortable to move forward in gaining new wisdom. Don’t shrink back, stand strong in the wisdom God has given me and be prepared to share when the opportunity arises. Thank you, Chrystal for the wisdom you imparted today!❤
My take away is with wisdom you are constantly learning and the way to show gratitude is to apply God's wisdom to your life daily speaking life and living out what you learn as you release the weight while you wait and breathing through the process of a fresh start God is amazing❤
I just stumbled into this podcast, and I learned so much already😢, I started reading this year, and I am 29 😂😂Ladies and gentlemen. You have just confirmed it for me again that reading can have so many benefits. I am currently reading ‚The Garden within‘ by Anita Philips. Everytime I read I am healing my childhood self. The part about figuring out what to stop and what to start doing also had me. I have always wanted to do more, but I was a scared little girl, but now that I know Jesus is with me, I more by faith not fear. I look crazy to people but 😂 I know who has me back. So thank you. I will most definitely be listening 👂
I’m about to be 70 yrs old and you saying at your age you should be passing your wisdom on. I love the scripture in the bible about the younger women teaching the younger women. I always try to be an example and share when I can.
Crystal! This was timely, especially as I navigate being a new BSF Group Leader this year. You dropped so many nuggets that I plan to rewatch and take notes. Thanks for being a big sister/online mentor for me.
OWN my wisdom that stung for sure, been shrinking back for a long while now! First time you popped up in my TL and thank you Lord for always knowing what I need to hear. God bless you Chrystal!!
This is soooo good! I often take for granted my lessons that could help others (b/c I feel like they’re not a big deal) but this video and many of your others serve as a reminder to keep sharing and keep living. I’m going to write down what I’ve learned as a single parent and share it with others. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! 💛💛💛
I turn 41 Saturday and this was the perfect message! So many gems such as listening to wisdom will set you up, what wisdom do I need to borrow today, be a lifelong learner, keep the order in my marriage, and grant wisdom as I'm gaining wisdom. May God continue to bless you, Chrystal 😇 I purchased the planning bundle with the t-shirt, and can't wait for it to arrive🤓
I love how you stressed the word intentional, everyone I give advice to I make sure to stress everything they do needs to be done with intentionality even when reading the Bible, read it with purpose. I live my life focusing on intentional behavior. People tell me all the time the word intentional STUCK with them after talking to me. Amen.
Wonderful message!! Thank you for sharing your wisdom with us. My key takeaway is to start sharing my wisdom with those around me and stop shrinking myself down. Also, to start seeking more wisdom from others and from books. Never thought about reading like that!! THANK YOU❤
Thank you Chrystal, this was awesome! Learned that is is not to late to read with my young adult children, this is a regret of mine. I remember hearing you had your children read Do the Hard Things and I thought, I’m going to do that, I never did, but hopefully it’s not too late to read some book that will help them be the women that God would have them to be and hopefully avoid the pitfalls that I’ve experienced.
Hello Crystal, this was so needed for me today, I appreciate what you said about knowing we have wisdom to share and we should share it and I needed the word about show up in the meeting etc It was so many nuggets Thank you ❤
I would love a wise person to mentor me about Christ and life . All of my wise women in the family have passed away. I’m alway watching your channel and your sisters as well. Today I start to read a new book . Thank you for all that you do.
Man! A couple things stood of for me but the one thing that made me pause the video and laugh is when she said to step into these spaces with confidence and stop shrinking back. I’m in a very different season in my life where I’ve been learning a lot. It’s been great and God has been speaking through any and everything, but I’ve also run into those “uncomfortable” or “stretching” moments and I noticed that my immediate response was to shrink back. Like I said, It’s fun but it is tugging on some parts of me that I’m not used to using, so I’m seeing the challenges. I’m encouraged to continue to show up confidently, not shrink back, and also be willing to continue to learn. I have great women around me who are offering their help so I’m noticing that too!
My key takeaway is to start sharing my wisdom with those around me. I enjoyed listening to this! As a young mom your content is so valuable. Thank you for sharing with me. I am also learning to share my wisdom with others. Thanks again!
I got something that resonates with God's calling for my life, this has confirmed to me that I have to stay on track in the pursuit of my purpose. Thank you for this podcast.
Wow great word well done. I’m going to start standing in my truth with self and others. Do better learning and teaching and let it be uncomfortable. Thank you!
Even though this is geared to us women- I’m forwarding it to my son. I know he will be blessed and will benefit from your sound advice and perspective. Ty!!❤
Great sharing Chrystal , I have been deliberately mentoring 2 young ladies, but I haven't done so well in meeting my mentor more regularly and seeking wisdom from other older women. I need to make a deliberate plan.
It was sooo delicious and I am 75... Releasing what you need to let go of..... I also like how you deal with your young adult children... I am passing this talk to my daughter and will ask her to pass on to my young adult granddaughter.
Yeah, my mother is no longer in a place where I can learn from her wisdom. She's 81 and all the listening I did when I was younger, I took notes. It's serving me well now. It's hard to know my mother is still here but gone. Who she was, she is no more. I can no longer rely on her. I'm up to bat now. It's a total grieving process.....and she's still alive.
This was brilliant. It’s ok to be uncomfortable as you are pressing towards fulfilling destiny. Do you have any advice for those with younger children? I would love to hear your wisdom, what worked and what didn’t ?
I guess I really should get the scale , It’s scary for me but if I look at the scale as a tool to help me be better and get better, instead of the death of me .
I have 8 adult children from 25-44. Yrs I am praying for them but I am I interested in your comment about doing something with adult children & contact you if interested. Appreciate your podcast & usually listen 3-4 times consecutively, the 1st time. God bless
Thank you Auntie Chrystal, yes I'll say Auntie because that's exactly what your talks feel like - shared wisdom from a loving and wise Aunt. This episode came so perfectly timed. Thank God! 🙏🏾 I'm all the way in South Africa, in my early 30s, currently single and feel like I'm constantly figuring things out. For a while now I've felt like I needed to get refocused from a previously challenging season and now busy season to get realigned and reset with God. Things have been good, but sometimes we can forget the stillness and intentional check in. This week I'm taking a carved out REST week (along with my whole team) and the nuggets you've shared are gold reminders. Thank you! What really got me was when you said - we hack time when we learn from each other. That was powerful. Challenged me to share this very episode and make notes about where I am at and where I sense God is taking me. Last thing I'll say again, is just thank you! Have a blessed week ladies 💛
SOOOO MANY NUGGETS/STEAKS....Be malleable, be teachable, walk with humility, but don't shrink back...own your wisdom....; circle back...what got in the way of you getting done what you need to get done...look at it. I need a mentor. And I need to be pouring out....store up wisdom now for the days to come. Don't care about your children's resistance to wisdom...do it anyway...pour out...and create opportunities for them to reflect and absorb.
My takeaway is to not shrink back. To read more books and pass on more wisdom to help someone. To remember right it down.
I love to read. I am 78 and I love and enjoy your podcast. So refreshing and encouraging.
My takeaway is always to think ahead, be a wise builder. Listen to wise people and borrow wisdom from them.😊 🎉❤
This reminded me of 1 Corinthians 2:5 That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.
Less of me being caught with the lack of peace and more of me relying on God in the discomfort and pains in growth
Letting go and making room for the new Yeses. Be teachable, malleable, but own it. Walk into spaces like a leader and show up to the meetings with a vision. Walk and talk with confidence with a hope in your new life. Digest and ingest. Grow. Stand in your power. Amen..❤
Wisdom is the main point to find the right pathway in this life, being wise is the top to cover our minds to be broad enough to receive Wisdom.❤
“We hack time when we learn from each other”🔥🔥🔥. Thank you so much, Ms. Evans-Hurst❤
You are so welcome!
Oooh weeee… my key takeaway is remembering that my husband is the leader. It doesn’t matter what insight I may have, but to ask questions and watch my tone!🙌🏽
Takeaway: Owning it, the wisdom that I do have & hacking time by gleaning from others in their wisdom. Omgoodness. So powerful
@@Morganneli Amen. Great take away. When you pour from the vessel of wisdom into the younger generation, it is so refreshing and encouraging to get feedback and refill from others. Thank you Jesus
Love to read, girl. Dad got us into it.
Stand on my confidence in God. Remembering who I am and whose I am and teaching those around me and cleaning from those before me.
CHRYSTAL!!! OMG!!! Girl, I have been so blessed, fed and full of your words and wisdom…
Take away - you have to let go of what's comfortable to move forward in gaining new wisdom.
Don’t shrink back, stand strong in the wisdom God has given me and be prepared to share when the opportunity arises.
Thank you, Chrystal for the wisdom you imparted today!❤
Thanks for watching!

I got stung when you talked about not wanting to be uncomfortable. I needed this. Thank You
Thank you for sharing this. I am 69 years old and still learning and gaining wisdom. I enjoy listening to you and learning. God bless.
Good for you for continuing to learn and grow!

Community that continues to call my name. At 57 still seeking those who feed me cause I feed those who I come across as GOD leads.
I have to stop shrinking back and stand in my wisdom. Thank you for this.
wow i have been saving this for 3 weeks now to listen and it was worth it . keep learning is my take away..listening from kenya.. i thank God for you.
I’m about to be 70 yrs old and you saying at your age you should be passing your wisdom on. I love the scripture in the bible about the younger women teaching the younger women. I always try to be an example and share when I can.
Needed the reminder we hack time when we are open to learning from others ❣️

I'm using this ...."uncomfortable conversations are crucial"

This was very on time! Thank you for sharing this wisdom.
I have so many books that I say I wanted to read but haven’t ordered them. This was my sign!
Thanks for the information. Some people like reading...being a better example/more helpful and financially
Such a wonderful and real gut check. I’m learning so much here. ❤ Blessings!
Absolutely loved this podcast!!!! My takeaway is releasing those things that no longer is useful for your progression forward!!!
Such words of wisdom as always Chrystal. Thank you for sharing!

I love you Crystal, thank you for this video. I will be intentional about passing wisdom down to the women around me.

There are so many great points, but one for me is to face the uncomfortable 😮

Thanks Sis Chrystal

Thanks got stung through and through but the most was learning to be uncomfortable

I'm so sorry about your experience with your mom. I'm so glad that you learned from her while you could.
What 3 books would you recommend?
I say 'my or your tomorrow will thank me, 'lol.
This was brilliant. It’s ok to be uncomfortable as you are pressing towards fulfilling destiny.
Do you have any advice for those with younger children? I would love to hear your wisdom, what worked and what didn’t ?
The mentor thing still eludes me.
We hack time when we learn from others!
you've got it!
Great needed lesson.❤
My takeaway is that “reading is borrowed knowledge.”
"Nice and kind and unclear is not better than uncomfortable with kindness and clarity." Have the hard conversation.
Good Wisdom here😊 I’m 50. I need a mentor.
I don't have any wise women around me so I'm figuring out life on my own.
You aren't alone. You are here! I hope you learned something in this episode.
@@ChrystalHurst thank you for being here ❤️

Hello, how do you go about getting a mentor?
Thinking I was past the point.
I am a mother with 3 girls. 2 adults, 1 teen. What would you suggest would be a good book club book
Nugget - Stop shrinking back. Thank you!
Let go of the 'yeses' that are not strong enough.
