The fact she could hold of Sidious and Dooku with her own lightning is damn impressive. Honestly, I'm sad Talzin and the Nightsisters got pretty much wiped out

Honestly, with the orb thing talzin got in season 6 and how unexplored the history of the night sisters is, I think you could probably incorporate them into the sequel trilogy to make it more interesting. Maybe the sith eternal has some long lost clan of night sisters that split off from The originals at some point, and their magic is what helped to revive palpatine. Just spitballing, but there is a a lot you could do with them

I feel like Talzin didn't know Savage was her son but after the fight with Dooku, when Savage came back she seemed closer to him like a Mother.
I always wondered if the death of the Daughter and the Son had an impact on Talzin’s own downfall, since the Nightsister religion and magic rely heavily on them. It would make sense that she was as strong as any force wielder while The Ones were alive because she could commune with them, but with their demise she was greatly weakened.

So, I guess now we know where the "Humans" that moved in after the Kwa came from, and it can still work with the established lore. The only change that needs to be made lore-wise is changing it from a mysterious Human group to it being the first Peridians that came to the Galaxy and settled on Dathomir.

I think Talzin is the absolute strongest user of force magic who the star wars universe has ever seen. Jedi and Sith a like have a lot of dogma and dedication through their lives to philosophy. Mother Talzin has dedicated her life to her strength and the strength of her people’s usage of magic through the force. She has a larger arsenal of abilities than pretty much anyone we’ve seen aside from maybe certain force beings.
I think maul is a special case for talzan, while she isn't the typical motherly figure to him, putting herself befor ehim and using him. It's hard to deny her genuine effection that she shows for him that is absent for others she tries to manipulate, i think he is a spot for pride for her and indeed she would ultimately give her life for him knowing she was bested by sideous .
On the matter of Mother Talzin not knowing the Dathomirian Zabrak warrior would indeed actually be Maul's brother, I kinda disagree. We know Savage had another brother along side Maul, being Feral. I think the entire Tribe of Nightbrothers from whom was picked was closely related, as in first cousins and second cousins. Hence they would all be of the same bloodline as Maul I however could be wrong, but that was always what I was lead to believe
One thing I've never understand about this story arc is why Ventress is no longer a Rattataki and had to be link to the same planet as Maul. This connection makes no sense and overuses the Night Sisters of Dathomir.

She cared about her clan. If she didn't, she wouldn't have sacrificed her own life to save Maul. If she didn't, she wouldn't have guided Asajj to flee after the battle and instead simply remained silent. The only reason she didn't send someone to retrieve Maul sooner was to avoid any needless risk to them before she understood the plans and strength of the Sith better. She was playing the long game. She did not share Palpatine's ambitions to rule, like the rest of her people she resented that they were isolated yet always being taken advantage of and never left alone.
Gotta say, had sidious chose mother Talzin as his apprentice, let her in on the grand plan and they joined the sith knowledge with night sister magic, the clone wars could have been very different.
