Hey there 👋 Thank you so much for the wonderful comments you made to the publisher. In that moment I really needed it. For the company I was working for had to cut back on production and workers, and I was one of them. But as Rocky said in part 6, “It’s not about how hard you can hit, it’s about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward. That’s how winning (success) is done!” So onto the next chapter in life. Look forward to going through the Rocky marathon with you all. You’re the best. 👍
Aw, thank you so much for your kind words. Yes, it's just wonderful how a movie can inspire us to get through some difficult times in life! Cheers to you! (:
Thanks for the marathon. I can't quite convey how much I enjoyed your reactions to the Rocky franchise, and since I was faced with the choice of doing year-end financial reporting or spending 5 hours re-watching your reactions, I decided this was a no-brainer. Mike, what I love most is that you well up and become emotional at the exact same points I do, and not just with the Rocky movies. I've watched most of your reaction videos and you seem to be triggered emotionally at the exact same moments I am. I love how true and raw both of you are when you react. I stumbled across this channel by accident and I feel like I uncovered a rare gem. Thanks for all your hard work and dedication. I can only imagine the effort involved. Please know that it's appreciated ♥
Aw, David, you're awesome! Thank you so much for your encouraging words and for sharing your experience! Messages like that make our hard work worth it! We really appreciate it. THANK YOU! We just watched C2 yesterday, and your name was mentioned as well. Stay tuned, my friend, and thanks again for your support!! (:
Hi Boss, Reaction! This is definitely a treat, wow🥊! I know many say Creed & yes watch it.. But this is so 🔥 for me & unexpected. This movie reminds me of my cousin that passed away. I gave him the complete series & he tried to watch all in one night. Lol, I miss him so much. Much love to you Boss's!
Fun story... Adrian (Talia Shire) was in the original script fr "Rocky Balboa" (part 6) but after She and Stallone talked the felt that is she was alive he wouldn't have and anger or need to fight. They would be totally happy running the restaurant together. Her being gone gives the film its power and reason to fight and move forward and not stay in the past. Which continues in Creed and Creed 2. In a interview Talia was asked if she was mad that she was in Part 6... and she said "The whole movie is about losing ME, I am his heart" - I love that.
Thank you so much for the compilation! This is a great idea and you made it nicely. Top quality work. Looking forward to your future reactions. All the best to you both.
Hey M&J! I indulged myself by rewatching the individual Rocky movies with you guys a couple (okay, maybe a few) times already. Enough times that I said, "okay, that's enough for now." So, I was wrong! You got me. The movies are just as good each time, and your reactions are just as good each time. Mike, I could have plucked you out from among my French and German ancestors, a man's man whose empathy can't be contained in his eyes. And while Jessica's reactions are equally invested and heartfelt, there moments that are priceless; "hair is a thing", "oh, that outfit's cute"..."that was just a friendly kiss?...okay". Yeah, definitely looking forward to however far you get into Creed. It takes some self control not to give a bunch of spoilers to make you want to watch it. I'll save my comments for when you post your reactions. Till next time...
Haha, thanks, Philip, I enjoyed reading your comments! LOL. Thanks for being part of our journey! I'm currently editing Creed, which we also liked very much. Stay tuned for Nov. 16th. Cheers!! (:
Your dedication, commitment and professionalism are awesome. You really love your audience and that is what makes you special. I’ve seen people compiling such a marathon before, but you guys did it the best way possible. It will be much easier with “Back To The Future”, as there are only 3 parts, but when you’ll get to “Star Wars”, you’ll have to split everything in a different manner, as only the main saga is made of 3 trilogies, let alone the other stand alone movies … I’m sure you’ll manage that one too, I just have to be patient till you get there. Best thoughts and wishes from your Romanian brother …
Happy to see you guys!!! I've never thought of watching all the Rocky movies as a marathon before don't know why to be honest 🤔 ! The only movies I do watch as a marathon are LOTR the extended versions, don't know if you've watched them but if you haven't you definitely should ❤
Fun fact: The charity match between Rocky and Thunder lips (Hulk Hogan) in Rocky 3 was loosely based on a boxer ( Muhammad Ali) vs. wrestler match jGorilla Monsoon) that occurred in the mid-70s. You can find it on TH-cam.
Hello my fellow Rockites! In part 3, when they arrive in Los Angeles, a slower version of the song, Take Me Back, was playing. Did you catch the significance? The song, Take Me Back, was the street corner song that the neighborhood group were singing at the beginning of Rocky 1. Thus, like Apollo was telling him, Rocky had to go back to his early mindset when he had the eye of the tiger. Yes, 🎵Take me back, do do do do, take me back🎵 Once again, great input by those who were the overseers of the music!
Howdy 😎 Not sure if you’ve ever noticed this in the music, but much of the first Rocky movie revolved around the main song, 🎵 Gonna Fly Now 🎵. When the music is slow, and just piano notes, it’s still the song, Gonna Fly Now, but much, much slower. Like, when he went for his first jog of his training on that cold morning, the piano hits the notes of the Gonna Fly Now song, but much slower. Another good example is when he goes to the ring alone the night before the fight, the piano notes are slowly playing the song, Gonna Fly Now. Bill Conti did an excellent job of putting more than one emotion into the movie music. I had the soundtrack albums to 1, 2, and 3. And when I was listening to the music, I could picture the exact scene in the movie. Piano - ding ding ding, ding ding (slow scene). Trumpet- nah nah nah, nah nah (fast work out scene). Two different instruments, at different speeds, but the same song, Gonna Fly Now. I think you all should hire me as part of the reaction team! 😊 Jim
Hi Jim, YES, we did notice the different variations of the same song. I remember Jessica mentioning that a few times, but for some reason, it didn't make the cut, but you're correct, 100%. (:
You two are my favorite rectors! A lot of other good ones I watch but they’re all competing for 2nd place ! Looking forward to watching many many more to come !
Dear Madam,Dear Sir,thank you very much for this video - what a great idea! And thanks a lot for your so positive message to society. I truly appreciate that! Greetings from the Czech Republic (the Central Europe). Btw - I think (my humble opinion),that a good relationship between the USA and Europe is so important in this world.Have a nice, pleasant, enjoyable time in November. Take care.
Hello Honza, I remember you from previous comments! Thank you so much for your encouraging words! Yes, I think having a good relationship between the USA and Europe (or ALL countries for that matter) is important. As you might know, I'm originally from Europe as well (Switzerland). Take care! Cheers! (:
Greetings! In 1947 the Cold War between East and West began. It was a very uncomfortable time to live in, knowing that MAD (mutual assured destruction) was always hanging over us. Rocky 4 came out in 1985. A year later President Reagan and General Secretary Gorbachev met face to face for the first time in Iceland. Many marked their meeting as the beginning of the end of the Cold War. But there was no denying the effect that Rocky’s speech at the end of the movie to the Russian people, including Gorbachev’s look alike in the president’s box, had on the thawing of tensions between our countries. Jim 😊
Hi Jim, thanks for sharing your thoughts. It must have been a very tense time. Yes, the actor indeed looked like Gorbachev. Great speech at the end. Thanks for watching! (:
Yo, how you all doing? Having a great time going back through the series again with you both. As you might know, Sylvester lives here in Florida. I sent my book to him today and a short letter, as a show of my appreciation for his Rocky character. Some may say, you’ll never hear from him Jim. Back in 89 I sent a letter to his gym, and a couple of months later I received an autographed picture of Rambo. Made sure he understood this time that I want one of Rocky. May take a while again, but I will let you know if he sends one. Take care. Jim PS. That Stallone autographed picture of Rambo that was used at my trial, I wonder what happened to it?
Hi Jim, good to see you here! We're doing great, attending a wedding in Canada. Yes, I've heard about Stallone moving to Florida, can't blame him. It's a shame that you didn't get your autographed picture back. Yeah, let me know if you get one from Rocky! (:
Tommy Morrison was ready to be one of the greats i would love for you guys to watch his documentary and see how the movie affected his life and his downfall from fame after that.
Yeah. Rocky in his prime destroys Mason Dixon inside 3 rounds KO. Dixon was 33-0 versus cream puffs. Pretty Ricky Conlin is still years away at this point. Who, also, would have beaten Dixon in first 2 rounds KO.
Hmm... The timestamps shouldn't be screwed up at all since I manually put them in. Maybe I should double-check. -- Oh, yeah, they ARE screwed up. It's almost like AI adjusted them... I'll fix it. Thanks for letting me know! (:
You gotta continue the franchise and watch Creed next! Stallone was fantastic in Creed.

Adrienne gave Rocky one of the best reality checks of my movie watching experience in III. That's why my favorite is Rocky III.
Yes, I love Rocky III as well and Adrian's "beach speech" is one of my all-time favorites! (:
