It's been almost 30 yrs since I have been in the fish keeping hobby, and I am so glad I have found ur videos! They have helped tremendously and have to say thanks for being here to remind me & to school me!!! I appreciate you!!! BTW, I have always loved Betta fish, yes, my love of Betta's!!! ❤️ I've always had at least one male throughout my life. I have had 5 for the longest time... more than 5 yrs... two if not three are at least 6 yes old & they are BEAUTIFUL!!! Now, there are 12, male & female, in-house just within the last few weeks!!! THANKS AGAIN for your willingness to share 😊
Just bought these with your links- thanks so much for the tips!
This video made my life a lot easier. I was looking for an adapter for so long
Awesome video!!! Buying this stuff now! I've been lugging water back and forth, up and down stairs for a 10 gallon tank the past year! Thanks man!
Damn good stuff man lol honestly the biggest reason i ended up gettin out of the hobby i had a 55 gall peacock cichlid tank and water changing was so damn grueling carryin buckets lifting them up and pouring in it got so old lol. Been binging all your vids and i think im about to re enter the hobby starting with that lil fluval spec 5 for my desk!!! Kinda excited to be back lol
This was fantastic!

Brilliant, thanks❗️👍
That water bandit was a hell of a idea…thanks
Well I feel dumb I just had to keep watching😂😂😂😂😂😂
The best 👌🏻
solid!
Hello thank you for the helpful video! I completely understand getting the water in, but what is the process of getting water from the tank out? Is it possible with this and how would I do it? Thank you for your very helpful videos!🐠
Hi, may i know what is the diameter of the hygger hose attached to the connector? I found the same product but only the connector no hose included. It is an OEM so I assume it will be the same exact hose used in the video too.
Do you add aquarium salt as a preventative or only for sick fish?
super helpful thank you! i just bought all the parts but the aquaclear intake from the link above seems to be too large (power filter). which size is the one that fits the hose? 20g? or the 30&50g? Thanks!
glad it helped! the one i used in this video came from an aquaclear rated for 30 gals
Does it clean the dirty stuff on the substrate?
Can u share how you extended your tubing? I purchased one that was too short. Thanks!
Hey! I just found your channel and already subscribed! One quick question, do you add prime to your tank before adding the water directly from the tap or after? Thanks!
welcome nathan! ive always done it after, as its filling the tank. no issues thus far
Awesome video bro! I'm so tired of carrying buckets back and forth. Quick question, I see you put water straight from the tap, do you put dechlorinating drops before or after you add water?
what other extension can i use instead of the aqua..??
How would I be able to suck out substrate or other debris if I was to reset the tank using this kit
this is purely for water changes. to siphon out, you'd have to use a different attachment
What about water temp and conditioner if your adding straight from a tap?
add conditioner to the tank as it’s flowing in and match temperature of the faucet with the tank
@@Pharmaquatics I think that's risky depending on the water quality of each place and the chlorine that comes from the street water, it could wipe your bacteria colony isn't it?
One concern I have is the amount of water that is used during the vacuuming of the substrate. When you turn the water on to start the suctioning, do you keep the water running? Thanks.
depends on the height of the tank. if it’s above the level of the draining point, you can turn off the water once it starts siphoning and let gravity do the work
I use something very similar I built my own python system by using a bell valve from the hardware store and the adapter that goes onto the sink to that was very inexpensive my whole system probably cost less than $20 including the hoses and Hardware
Can I use this as a siphon for my Marineland 5 gal tank?
Love your channel. Your information is helpful. Can I use this item as a gravel vacuum or just for water charges? My daughter has the 5 gal Marineland.
Thanks and keep posting😉
Are you able to make a video on how you treat like rich disease for bettas?
The link for the pennplax kit doesnt work. Got another one?
For the ez clamp which size do u need
i got the pack with a bunch of sizes (EZ01B) and it seems like the 20 is the one that fits
Hello, does females Bettas can be together. I mean , if i the female betta fish being alone for a long time, but i try to put it with the other betta sorority..will the betta fish hurt the other females betta
it’s possible, but i would definitely recommend against it. still a high chance of failure
Haha I did a water change last night
instead of cutting the hose just use another clamp instead of screwing that cap back on
im planning to buy a beta fish soon but i will be in school soon so.. scrap that idea
i did a series on fish keeping in college! it's possible but of course do what you think is best
@@Pharmaquatics im in boarding school. and no pets allowed there. next year wll be my last year of high school. so maybe after that 😄
It's half the cost of python and half the quality. If you just have a couple I would get this one but if you have a lot of aquariums or you run a store get the Python.
This is going to sound idiotic, but I have been searching for this answer all day!
I inherited a sick betta that was shipped to GA from CA and was on the third day of a fast from SBD when he was given to me. He's been here for about two weeks. I was given NOTHING except the fish, some filters for the little tank it's in, a bottle of Betta Min flakes, and two bottles of water conditioner. I don't even know how many gallons of water the tank holds.
Now that he's eating again, I bought him some Hikari Betta Bio-Gold pellets (which he immediately spit out) then I ordered some shrimp patties (also pellets) which he loves. Tonight I ordered NorthFin Betta Bits, Fluval Bug Bites, and some Tetra brand Dried Blood Worms. I hope he lives long enough to try the new food I got him.
Part 2: I've been binge-watching your videos, but anyone knowledgeable can answer. this. His water has got to be totally wrong for him at this point. I want to order the Hygger kit plus the adapters you recommend as needed, but here is my main question: Doesn't the water come out of the tap loaded with chlorine? Don't I need to treat that water before I subject my recovering betta to it?
Part 3: I treated a quart of tap water with the conditioner I was given, but I don't have a thermometer to make sure it's 78 - 80 degrees. I'll get Prime conditioner and a proper thermometer as soon as I can, but he needs everything ASAP. I have a candy thermometer, a meat thermometer, and a people thermometer... will any of those work? I'd like to save him, if possible.

I admit to being really confused about nobody using watering cans. Just designate one for the fish, why use a bucket?
