FIX CAP ERROR NOW: BY DISABLING THE CAPPING STATION TEMPORARILY

Hi I'm Richardblack! I'm a Branding & Print consultant.
So i get it. You have cap error on your large format machine. And you have changed the cap sensor. You even reached into the back panel to make sure the cable was properly connected, and it was. Yet your large format machine is still giving you all those errors. And because of that you cant even Print because the error wont give you access to your large format machine.
In this video i have a fix for that. Why not lets disable the capping station entirely. And let you get temporary access to your machine. That's what we covered in this video.

Under normal situations if the printboard is okay, mainboard is okay, printhead is okay. If you disconnect the printhead data cable from the printboard will the machine initialize( like capping station move up and down) ?

Can i use this to solve an origin problem? My printinh keeps shifting from origin when printing 6feet, so the print becomes bent until it prints out of the flex material

Change the encoder strip. The film is either dirty or old.

sir my printer not showing nozzle test and no ink when I print. but when I manual pump there is waste ink. is it the head problem? my head is just 2months old

When you see ink pouring out during manual pump then that's a sign that mechanically there is supply.
But when you don't see ink print during nozzle test. That's an electronic fault.
It can Mean that you didn't connect the cables properly or it can also mean that electrically the printer head is damaged.
I sincerely hope it's not the latter.

My capping station will not move up and down, after i put a new one in and also reinstalling the old one.
The gears wont engage to go up and down when the printer spins its gears that are supposed to be interfacing with the capping station

Maybe you disabled it in the back end settings.

@richwords1 i havent messed with any settings other than the stock controls located on the printer itself. The mounting holes all line up and it seems to mount fine.
It's something I am doing and a mechanical thing I think.
Any guides for installing or replacing one on an 8550 you know of?

You can check the wiring of the capping station tho.
