One of the pioneers of ad-da'watus-salafiyyah in the West. Aboo Uways (rahimahullaah) was the Imaam of the salafee masjid, Masjid Rahmah in Newark, New Jersey, USA. After studying in Saudi Arabia, Aboo Uways migrated to England where he called to the usool of salafiyyah at a time when many were afraid to use the praiseworthy term 'salafee'. He later returned to America in the mid-nineties and was influential towards spreading salafiyyah in N. America and repelling the callers to innovation. (Taken from troid.ca)

I'm a Salafi. But ironically almost all the fitna, harm, hypocrisy, lies and cheating that I've experienced in my life has been from Salafis. "Students of knowledge" and otherwise. May Allah guide the Salafis. I just hope that one day all these speakers can stop talking and start acting, being good themselves. Looking back I wish that I'd have never met any Salafis. But alhamdulillah, I still have hope.

Dear brother, I hope all is well with you and your family. One thing to say, if I may, is that poor behavior is not exclusive to our brothers. I am a revert and before learning about salafiyyah, I saw good and bad in other Muslims just the same. One thing to note, is that we should first give our brothers the benefit of the doubt. Perhaps they are going through perosnal issue unknown to us, or have family issues, etc. while this is not an excuse for poor behavior, it is in fact a common cause for some people to lose their manners.
We should excuse them for initial acts and try to advise them with kindness. A reference to 130 Hadith on manners taken from Bulough al-Maram is a great source. Many English students of knowledge are doing lectures on this currently, Moosa Richardson (for one) is doing these classes weekly on Spreaker at the 1MM channel. Check it out if you can.
I know you did not ask me for my advise, but I figured I would give some points because I have been through ups and downs myself and want you to know that we must strive for unity upon the Quran and sunnah by the understanding of the salaf, and that loving our brothers for this sake is key. May Allah bless you in abundance akhi.
I make dua that we remain thabaat upon the Haqq.

Brother you shouldn't say I wish..2nd you shouldn't say I never wish I haven't met any salafis الحمد الله the salafis are on the haqq and that's a statement of hizb you remind your brothers call them to that's what's correct انشاء الله may الله تعالى guide us all and rectify our affairs امين.
