Why do you think Truman decided not to seek a second term in '52? Korea was a sh*tshow and unnecessary. In my opinion, we didn't, and we still don't belong their. If the North breaks through the DMZ, I think the South has a pretty good chance without us, their army is modern and better equipped now, there Air Force is excellent, Korea doesn't need us to hold it's hand anymore.
