Love yall, David. After getting saved in 1984 on the street in New Orleans, when with a 12 year drinking habit, and holes in my arms, a stranger told me about Jesus and I was saved and set free, I came back home to Hattiesburg, Ms. I lived next door to my parents in Dixie at Elks Lake. One day only a couple of weeks after being saved I went for a drive thru the woods out to what was Lake Shelby back then, about 10 minutes from my place, and as I drove around the lake I heard some great rock-n-roll playing out there. There was a live band playing under this pavilion and so I pulled up and got out to listen. Man, they were singing about Jesus and played some great blues and rock-n-roll! Just what I played! I was 26 yrs old, and an old drugged out hippie just a couple weeks back and I also played guitar, still do, blues and rock. After a while I thought, I know these guys. It was Little David & the Giants! That's what yall were called in those days at the Stoned Toad. I used to hear yall at the Stoned Toad in '74 - '75 with a fake ID at 17. Man, I was so excited to hear good music about the One Who had set me free, JESUS! Yall played for a long time. Afterwards I talked with you all. Rayborn had preached and given the invitation, and I was already a soulwinner like the stranger who lead me to the Lord on the street, I couldn't help but tell everybody! So I loved the fact yall always go after souls, and give invitations! Also, every time I ever heard yall, which was a lot, yall always played for free and took a love offering and always shared the gospel. That told me your heart was in ministry not only entertainment. Keith shared as he used to do, you and Clayborn may have, but then Rayborn during "Noah" gave the invitation. So powerful. Have loved yall ever since, brother. Thank you all for letting God use yall for all these years, brother. Still listing. Hope somehow you'll see this and share with the brothers. Lord bless yall.☝️😎
This is the my first time hearing this testimony in this amount of detail. I am so thankful for anyone who planted a seed to bring David , Rayburn, Clayburn and Keith to the Lord, and so thankful that Keith shared with the Huff brothers and stood strong with his testimony. These men have been such a blessing and encouragement in my life for over 40 years. From the moment I first heard the intro to "Almost Midnight", on an LP that a young girl that was in my youth group gave to me, I have been blessed and encouraged by their ministry. I don't remember that young girl's name but I am so thankful that she shared that LP with me. God bless y'all! Keep on Rockin!
Praise God I got saved in 1978 when God called me out of darkness and taught me about salvation in the name of Jesus couple years later, while in Memphis school in Fort Worth, David and the Giants, and grew up in the Lord under a Pentecostal ministry and new, because of my gift of discernment that David and the Giants were true men of faith. I enjoyed your music in the early years of my walk. Now I am a retired Barber full of the holy spirit. I am now retired my wife June and I having raised 10 kids and homeschooled them teaching them about Jesus. I love you brother Dave.
Beautiful. Brother David has been a godly "voice" in my life for a majority of my life. It was bittersweet to see my photo of "David and the guys" with my Daddy, Brother Dwight Hardin, beside their old van they used to travel in. So many memories with them through the years. Dad loved them so much, and championed them (even though he preferred bluegrass and country as well! 😄). Thank you for doing this interview, Brother Roberts!
@@mendyerwin555 Thank You Mendy I presently live in Bryan Ohio I so admired your dad he was such an inspiration! He had sent me his CD and I so enjoyed it especially in light of all he went thru! I have watched his memorial service and was so glad it was available! Your dad shared with me his memories of David Huff and the band! He loved and admired them too!
@@davidhughes5564 yes, he did love David and the guys. They have always been family. Did you know Dad married David and Twyla? We knew Twyla's family from way back. Wonderful people! Thanks for catching up!
Wow this is awesome. I heard David and the Giants for the first time with the song "Are you ready" and It stirred something in me. The Holy Spirit hit me so strong, cause i was in my pastors car at the time and when he dropped me off I got out and just literally started shouting the Praises of God. Thank you for posting this. Blessings to you Brother David1
If I recall correctly, in the 'White Heart" Christian band, there was a member named David Huff, however, it was not the person in this video of the same name; but I do think the David Huff in White Heart is related to Dann Huff, who was also in that band. The David Huff on this video is from the Christian band David and the Giants and is a different "David Huff" who is not related. This all needs to be verified, but I think it's correct.🤔
@@richardbrownjr2815That's correct! (This) David Huff's son, Lance, answers the same way in a comment on his own TH-cam channel...that the two different sets of Huffs are not related to each other at all.
I've seen David and the Giants 17 times!!!

I filled your father’s pulpit many times in Cedar Lake, Indiana while he was out evangelizing! They were great friends!

I love the Hardins. Such awesome folks.
That picture of Brother Dwight Hardin is precious!
Most definitely. Bro Hardin was a prince of a man.
I saw the Giants in Philly back in 1980 at a church and they came down from the platform after their session and pray for people.
I remember meeting David and the Giants at the Kershaw's church in Richardson, Texas. Went to the concerts several times. Bless you Bro. Huff

Is David Huff by any chance related to Dann Huff who played on the band Giant?

David huff is from David and the Giants. He has two brothers. Rayborn and clayborn..( huff twins- their side project) no relation to Dann Huff..
