Your barley slide and discussion needs to be updated with growing acres of malting barley being grown. That’s where the lower protein content comes in. However, many malting barleys are two row and have feed efficiencies from grain to hull ratio and the beta-glucan content of malt barley is much lower as it interferes with the brewing process.
Is it possible to download a copy of the handouts that are referenced to at the beginning of the presentation as being available for those attending this presentation in person?
