What you seeing, is Assistant Registration( you need help). for your friend, what they seeing is Help Friend Register(they want to help you). In one word, option 1 : you give your phone number to your WeChat friend. and your friend go to [Help Friend Register] to enter your phone number. option 2: send the QR code to your friend, ask them to scan this QR code on WeChat.

@@p.4340 Basically, once your friend enter your phone number correctly, you will be able to create account, please try to log in with your password.if you can login to WeChat account, that means you register successfully. if WeChat ask you to send SMS code, you send it. And if still pop-up verification again, you had better not close this screen when your friend enter your phone number. your friend and you will both see successful notice. Please check it out.
