I've just discovered your channel. This is peak journalistic integrity. I'm a substance use disorder counselor and work in outreach/engagement for youth and young adults experiencing homelessness and housing insecurity.
It's like looking in a mirror every day. I hear their stories and hold their pain with so much empathy and love because 15+ years ago, I was walking miles and miles in those shoes.
These folks are human. The people you're giving a microphone to are so utterly, definitively human. These people are the perfect depictions of the essence of humanity. Kind, talented, thoughtful, intelligent, funny, and generous. So, so, so generous. I've lived so many lives in so many ways. I wouldn't trade a single one of those moments of personal suffering or professional burnout because the truest and kindest human beings I've been so blessed to know are those that are standing on corners with signs, holes in their shoes, and dirt on their faces.
I can't commend you enough for TRULY giving these people a voice. You are giving them the podium and letting their souls speak. These people can go days without a meaningful, compassionate interaction, let alone having a platform to which to share their truths.
It's a privilege and an honor to hear these stories.

I feel like this guy can make it off the streets and even has some people / resources in his life …but it’s definitely something internally holding him back either mentally or drug related I would assume.

Before even watching this video, i was homeless for 3 years on drugs. Being homeless isnt that bad for a drug addict after they are used to it, it actually cant be beat. All you have to focus on is drugs. I used to shower out of a army bag i would fill up at the local cookout with hot water from a spicket they had that pumped hot. They had one cold i would fill for water. Washed my clothes in a big trashbag. What sucks balls most about being homeless is when its cold and it rains and you werent prepared, all your stuff is soaked, your dopesick, and it wont dry because its cold. So if it gets wet your wet for over a week. That will break you, and its why rehabs are packed in the winter.
As far as money i boosted, power tools mainly electric scooters computers stuff like that, whatever wasnt bolted down. And i would buy a ball for 60 (meth) sell a gram to other homeless people for 40 or .2-.3 for 20 etc.. It makes a cycle. Violence wasnt that bad for me, but im also not a older cat. I will say when it does get violent it can get really violent because noone is out there and noone will miss you. Homeless people can easily be killed and never found, its a dangerous game.
I have 15 months sober this month

There’s more to that story than a bit a marijuana and past PCP use

Not say anything ? At least were I am from they don’t drug test you and for awhile it was a way to get extra money. I do know if they do suspect you they can test you but like I said it may be dif down there

Very simple. When you donate plasma you lie. You just have to have your heart rate between 50 and 100 per minute and blood pressure in the normal range. That's it

If he was that tight with children you would figure they would help him out. Perhaps try a job instead of donating plasma. Leaving the truth out.
