Dr. Holyiak- I suggest you go to an acupuncturist and get a Tx for yourself - actually a series of Tx’s. If you experience it on/in your own physical body/body issues-you won’t question its validity anymore. Acupuncture works for many issues. Some take more time to resolve than others just as it does in allopathic medicine. 2 of the 3 issues that are difficult to Tx with ACU are:
    1. Bone on Bone issues.
    (Self explanatory).
    2. Repetitive motion injuries (because of the nature of constant re-injury if the action continues/person continues the habit).
    3. (The 3rd one is escaping my memory at the moment. If I recall it I will edit this post accordingly).
Animals are far more “in tune” with/aware of their own physicality. They sense when something is good for them/working for them. This is why the mare seems to enjoy the ACU sensation. The electric stimulation. I would LOVE to work with horses.

Dr. Holyoak was just using the plastic cover for the needles to test the mare's pressure points. He says you just need something small and hard to apply pressure to the points.
