Fillion is brilliant in this. That little lip tremble when she calls him an ass!

God, the sleeve flapping around at "And everything handsome about him!" always makes me lose it

I can remember Fillion saying in an interview how when he was filming he barely understood a word of what he was saying.
And to be fair, Dogberry doesn't understand most of what he's saying either, it's kinda the whole joke. And he sold it perfectly.

Everyone was talking about the avengers back in 2012, but hello? Joss Whedon did Shakespeare that same year, using much of the cast of Buffy and angel. This is his hidden gem.

I love how offended he gets when being called an ass.

Actually, he's written as aphasic, he mistakes the meaning of words because he's illiterate. What Robert Amine termed 'a fool natural''.

I can't choose whether I prefer Fillion or Keaton in this role. They're two of my favourite actors so it's like choosing which arm I prefer- I just can't.

The best part about Shakespeare is the millions of different interpretations, a huge example of this is Macbeth's "tomorrow" soliloquy

Wow, Dogberry is hilarious when played straight. In the branagh version he was just painful to watch

I agree completely. I find dry humor much funnier, and the Branaugh version was annoying lol. I'm generally a fan of Branaugh's Shakespeare films, but there are a few things I don't like about his Much Ado.

I really don't like Joss Whedon, but they did a great job with this.
