Just finished this today for the 3rd time (haven't played it for a few years so it mostly felt brand new again) and it was just as, if not even more, enjoyable as the first time! One thing I notice in this trailer though, is that Geralt moves, runs and climbs a lot more fluidly than in the released game. Not sure why they changed it to something a little clunkier, but that's really only a minor gripe in possibly the greatest rpg ever made.
Si, este juego era de su versión en desarrollo. Estaba siendo ejecutado en una pc. Y pues al momento de lanzar lo tuvieron que hacerle un Downgrade muy fuerte.
There's mods that revert it to those animations called E3ARP. Well not really revert it, I think the mod author pretty much replicates it. Not sure why they changed it in the release version, animations have little to do with performance.
I think for me its family matters , because that side quest ties into crookback bog. Its crazy because its part of the main story , but not actually necessary.
This is the reason that this game is so legendary. Everyone has a different favorite quest. I think the Novigrad arc is the greatest sequence ever, plenty of people say the Baron quest line is the best, Crookback bog is fantastic, my favorite standalone quest is probably Fyke Isle. There are just an insane number of perfect main and side questlines in this game.

@Dead_clasher Gaming just at first, it feels boring then I realized that I was thinking of it the wrong way like playing it wrong...so I payed attention to all of the content in it, fucking amazing, I still dont think what is the best, witcher 3 or rdr2, still idk Anyone can *answer*
Still this game is one of the best if not THE best as a casual player. This game was lifechanging or at least caused some serious approach changing in my life. Im glad i bought this as Game Of The Year edition came out, im glad i could pay at least this back to CD Project Red, this game giving me such a good time playing in, even though i already played it through at least 6-7 times with DLCs together, reading every book every torn note i could, and maxing out as much talk as i could. Furthermore im still finding new things or east eggs. Ahh what a masterpiece.
I felt empty after playing this game and all its DLCs, ive played cyberpunk, but it doesn't give me that same feeling that I got from playing witcher 3.
I'm considering witcher 3 since it's on sale atm, but idk if I could get into the story. Watching some to get a feel for it, it's so bizarre, not sure it's really my tastes. Can't say I'm jumping at the idea of it. I prefer RPGs where you can customize the character and the like, and stuff that's sci-fi. Prob gonna do cyberpunk eventually, would fit that more I think, but don't like the cost atm.
This gameplay preview is the thing that sold the game to me and the reason I delved into all The Witcher games and books. The atmosphere when Gerald enters the city, the visuals, incredible details. It feels like a living breathing world and you're a part of it. The immersion is the most important thing in a open world game for me and this game is one of the few that makes it absolutely great. If a game makes you just travel around aimlessly just to enjoy the world that means the open world designers made an amazing job.

There are so many aspects truly great about this game - the music, the action, the dialogue, the drama, the humor, the horror, the characters ... but if you play it you immediately feel how the composition of all aspects creates this very unique experience. It is more than the summ of it's parts; The Witcher 3 is one big magic moment. And still in my personal Top5 after 3 decades of gaming.

The devs have put a lot of work not only in the gameplay but in the story. They have read the books and understand them so well because all the pieces matches. I do not care if andrzej doesn't consider the games canon, it's an amazing continuation of the saga whatever is canon or not.
The games are a continuation from the books, they did write the story based on the events of the books. My point is the games are faithful to the lore of the books
Gareth Rees The games are after the events of the books, they did not take anything from the books, however, there was a story-arch that was left open in the last two books of the saga (the one about the Wild Hunt), so the story of Witcher 3 is going to be canon to me no matter what Sapkowski says :P Witcher 3 is the real ending of the saga to me at this point :P

Meeting djikstra in the pub, wonder why it was dropped? I would love if they re released the game with all the different cut scenes and different quests.
I think it was kind of weird in terms of progression for this beta, its a lot better in the current version where you go to Crow's Perch instead of Novigrad. It would be weird that Dijkstra in Novigrad knew about Johnny a whole tens of miles away in some hole in the swamp. It's a lot better now that you learn about the witches from adventuring in Velen.

we can agree to disagree. I didn't like the story or the characters, and I didn't like the 'hub system' of the gang that made you keep having to come back and get quests from the same people as opposed to being able to wander in any direction and find quests. I liked RDR1 a lot more.

9 years later, looks like it was released only couple of years later. Same with a lot of 2015 games to be honest, just thinking for example Rise of the Tomb Raider and Arkham Knight, still look damn impressive. Compare that to 2001 or 2004 games and 2015+ games that were fully made for Xbox One and PS4 without 360/PS3 limitations, it's night and day. I think the major quirk about Witcher 3 is the lighting looks a bit rough on characters at least with ray-tracing off sometimes. Characters' hairs made out of hair cards also look a bit fake at times, other than Geralt's which uses another system to make individual hair strands. Other than that, it looks damn impressive.

this version had better graphics and a very different plot compared to the final version. In the final version you kill the griffin in White Orchard for the Nilfgaardian that made camp there, and in return he says where yennefer is, not Ciri. When the game finally came out I was just like a little kid doing weird noises and all lol Now almost 10 years later I keept playing this game and became one of my favorite videogames of all time, what a masterpiece!
I feel ya, if I remember correctly the game came out late spring 2015 right? I used to watch the trailer before that and hoping my slow computer will be able to get the game working on the lowest settings.

I remember watching this video, and I remember precisely what I said to myself watching it. "I will never get to play this" It broke my little 12 year old heart. I had a PS3 at the time, and this was a 'next-gen game', and I was fully convinced i would never play it. Two years later I saved up enough to get a PS4, and got the witcher 3 on sale shortly after. It was worth the wait. It quickly became the best game I ever played. I completed it 100%, DLC's, chests, side quests, dialogue options etc. Now as of April 2020 I am 18 years old, I also have a PC, which i have bought the witcher 1, 2 & 3 on, and am currently playing this for the second time. I've come a long way, and played many games throughout the years, but never before have I felt like a game is worth *more* than what I paid for it, but for me this game is priceless.
if not the greatest. Honestly if CDPR goes through with the 4th game and it's still similar to Cyberpunks and Witchers style of quests and stuff I feel like the game could raise the standards once more
Can't wait. Going to be an amazing world to jump into and live in for awhile. As much as I understand the existence of the 'fast-travel' system, I hope they're able to accommodate those of us who will never use the system and plan to travel everywhere, no matter how far, manually. Events, quests or other situations that occur on your travels over the long distances, at random. Things that you would not see unless you spent the time traveling the world. Without throwing it at you. If I cut through a forest avoiding a road nearby, and I miss an event happening, that's how it should be, and that's how people have their own stories of what they experienced in the world.
Yeah, likely going to be starting a 3rd playthrough soon, Witcher 3 for me is the best game, as in many games I actively try and be a villain, fable, mass effect etc and don't really have that much of an emotional attactment to the charecters or world and it's kinda fun to be a villain when in many games your the hero, in the Witcher however I'm unable to scold Ciri, or take 25 gold from a peasent, that to me is testement of W3's great writing, world and charecters. I keep telling myself I'll chose different dialogue options on subsequent playthroughs but when I get to the scenes I end up going with the same options because that's what feels natural. I hope to all and any diety's that Cyberpunk 2077 isn't a flop as I've always loved the Cyberpunk aesthetic and if it's anywhere near the level of W3 it honestly will likely become my favourite game of all time, rn it's W3.
I've never had so much fun and immersion in a game before. This will always be one to remember. Thank you CD Projekt Red.

My point is the games are faithful to the lore of the books

The games are after the events of the books, they did not take anything from the books, however, there was a story-arch that was left open in the last two books of the saga (the one about the Wild Hunt), so the story of Witcher 3 is going to be canon to me no matter what Sapkowski says :P

This is one of my favorite game of all time EVERR! I like the graphics, the story, the characters, the combat system (could be better but it's okay), the world, and 2 GREAT DLC too. Give me so many memory and i want to play it again after heard the next-gen for pc.
use mod to fix combat
Man I miss playing this game. Truly a masterpiece
I remember watching this video, and I remember precisely what I said to myself watching it.
"I will never get to play this"
It broke my little 12 year old heart.
I give you my respect for being able to save money for a PS4 at a young age. It would seem that you are very passionate in which I greatly admire.
I wish I could go back and experience this game for the first time again...... :(
What an indescribable journey...
Read the books, they are even better!
The best game I've ever played....DLC alone was better than most RPG games
Installing the game for the first time now..Wait until the kids are sleeping👍
Enjoy 😉
You do know the graphics aren't even close to this demo?
@@tomgu2285 yeah, theyre obviously better
It’s 2022 and this is still one of the Greatest Games of ALL TIME
if not the greatest.
If I cut through a forest avoiding a road nearby, and I miss an event happening, that's how it should be, and that's how people have their own stories of what they experienced in the world.
and they are man
just as you predicted
Anyone 2020? The game was and still is a masterpiece!!!
I started playing it not that impressed honestly
Yes! On my 2nd playthrough already!
I wanted to play but my pc doesn't stand it and I have just a play 3 ☹
Best RPG ever! When will The Witcher 4 : Sweet Hunt?
I'm super late but they possibly just confirmed it. 2021.
@@hassouss4512 they said its a new ip so not a witcher game and the other game will be cyberpunk 2077.
@@caevon4432 no, i don't think they mean a whole new idea, a whole new franchise
@@caevon4432 then again, they said that they'll not use the witcher name, but will still make new games in that world
