I followed this tutorial when I was around 7 years old. I showed my entire family including my brother who was an artist and he was amazed and said I was better than him at my age. I imagined myself growing up to be an amazing artist. I don’t draw much anymore, but this made 7 year old me so happy. I kept the drawing for years, but eventually it was thrown away on accident. I’ll never forget how much happiness this video brought me. :)

I used to think i didn't have a talent, and i used to think i was a bad artist. when i was 10, mark came to my school, he talked about art. and a week later we had a book fair I bought mastering manga and i kept drawing no mater how it looked. i got better, and I'm still working on my skill but I am now way better at art. thanks mark

My girlfriend has tasked me with drawing something. However, I cannot draw worth a hill of beans (nor can a draw a hill of beans). However, I am a visual learner in things like this so I thought "Why not find a TH-cam video on how to draw something comparatively easy, like a kitten". I found your video. and I am going to try to draw it for her tonight. Thanks to your rather detailed walkthrough, I feel confident enough to try it. Hope it goes well and thank you in advance.

Hello Mark, I am in fact watching this in 2015 Haha anyways I am currently at the part where I am shading the left eye and I realized how much respect I have for you. If anything I am a really good artist but I think that shading is by far the hardest thing in drawing. Plus the simple fact that you can get every detail in every drawing is absurd but I do think that I am not even half the artist you are. You're amazingly talented at all of your drawings. Thank you for making me the artist I am today.

As an artist myself, no one EVER expects you to pick up a pencil and draw perfectly the first time.... beginning a life long passion to art, takes time, patience, and PRACTICE, PRACTICE, PRACTICE. I still watch videos like these and others to polish up my drawing. But, please do not get discouraged, that is what drives apart the master from the apprentices.
I found the hardest part for me was the fur, although following step by step still look way far from the sample. What are the key points when drawing fur?
Patients. By now you probably figured it out. but if not, think layers, direction when drawing fur. It's like constructing piece by piece and then slowly connecting them to me. This cat was actually easier than the adult cat he did. My drawings come fairly close to his with slight difference. In this case my whiskers are a little too dark.

Cutie Crumbs the face of a human is one of the hardest things for a realist artist or a photorealistic artist i at least thats my input but when it comes to animals i don't really know about it's difficulty but i would say it most likely depends on the animal and the medium the end results of the fur because of texture of the tooth of the paper.
Your fantastic, great explanations. Your very smooth with your lines. Question: how much does the paper or Bristol you use matter? Does it make it smoother to draw on?

if you are stuck on the other eye, and making problems its small, just draw a wink.
As an artist myself, no one EVER expects you to pick up a pencil and draw perfectly the first time.... beginning a life long passion to art, takes time, patience, and PRACTICE, PRACTICE, PRACTICE. I still watch videos like these and others to polish up my drawing. But, please do not get discouraged, that is what drives apart the master from the apprentices.

I found the hardest part for me was the fur, although following step by step still look way far from the sample. What are the key points when drawing fur?
Patients. By now you probably figured it out. but if not, think layers, direction when drawing fur. It's like constructing piece by piece and then slowly connecting them to me. This cat was actually easier than the adult cat he did. My drawings come fairly close to his with slight difference. In this case my whiskers are a little too dark.

Cutie Crumbs the face of a human is one of the hardest things for a realist artist or a photorealistic artist i at least thats my input but when it comes to animals i don't really know about it's difficulty but i would say it most likely depends on the animal and the medium the end results of the fur because of texture of the tooth of the paper.
