She's a real one! She flips the tortillas with bare hands! 💯
I was going to say the same 🤣
I was going to say the same thing!!!!!!
How else do you do it??
@@sarahlefevre9144 🙌🙌🙌
@@michellescukanec2359 I might not be the brightest crayon in the box but I'm pretty sure that's the only way to flip a tortilla ☺️
Beautiful! From a mexican to watch this makes me proud 🥰
Absolutely!
🙌🏾
For sure!! She’s my new woman crush 😍
🥰🥰🔥🔥💯💯. I’m Mexican and didn’t come to this country until 6. Ate handmade corn tortillas almost every day. ( Some days it was flour.) I think you did great!! Awesome!!
I never realised it was such a simple recipe 😲 if I can find masa in my country, definitely going to make these
Great recipe, brilliant presentation, excellent personality; love it.
I never care what she's cooking. She's just damn good to look at 🔥
Every step was on point! Tortillas are the staple for Latin food !! Thank youuu
No oil necessary but still tasty with it! ❤️
How'd she measure 2 cups w/o even looking at the corn masa? Ms Shereen, you are AWESOME! And make it look super easy. Enjoyable to listen to you talk too.
You make cooking so interesting and seemingly simple
Just a little tip. If you don't have wax paper you can use a plastic shopping bag
I cut a ziploc bag round to fit the press works great 👍🏼
I love this lady
My abuelita aproves 👍
My Hispanic ass when she said “COMAL”
😳😳😳😳😳😭😭😭😭 she knows!!!
Never have I've seen my grandmother or mother or any Mexican add oil on their comal!! You just add the tortilla on the comal let it bubble up flip and bubble up and ay esta (that's it).
That’s what I thought… also, no salt or sit for 30 min. No time for that lol
I couldn't watch the video after that I've never known anyone that puts oil on the Comal or waits 30 min for the dough
@Zzul Ma Exactly!
Shes using her hands to flip the tortillas. Thats how you know she knows what shes doing
Gawddayum I'm so madly in love with this woman
You definitely know how to eat 👌🏽
you’re invite to the carne asada!! lol amazing job!
The Goddess returns
Masa needs a lil more water the edges when pressed shouldn’t crack but overall u did an amazing job🎉
Que buen acento español tiene!!!
God Bless you my Dear!❤
I love this lady even more now😂
I need this woman in my life!
My wife is native Mexican and she can’t make tortillas, you are so lovely werita❤😘😍
My aunt and my grandmother usually don't use salt and oil for the tortillas although theirs turn a bit thicker
The tortilla flip is on point
I gotta try this 😲
I have the same stove top, but I’ve never used the griddle section. Too worried about grease and stuff splattering everywhere lol
Check out my Philly Cheesesteak video; I cover the sides with foil.
I always like the her presentation. Don't change anything. Cute.
Since I’m Mexican I really thought was going to bring out the metate y nixtamal but she pulls out the Maseca lol! Maseca is not from scratch 😂
😁 Another great video on how to make tortillas unnecessarily complicated.
Thank you
I’ve seen other people copying your style. Not as good. I enjoy watching you! 👍😀♥️
As a Mexican, we happily take you in! ❤️
You're great at what you do
Can someone let builders know everyone needs that kitchen by default 🎉❤😅
It's better to warm them up a little after cooking to make them more flexible
Edit: or you can make them a bit thicker
The way you pulled that cheese 🔥😦😍🥺
Great video
im mexican and ive never seen anyone add oil to the pan or add salt to the mix to make the dough .😐
Watched this again...that cheese dip
Whats neutral oil? Olive oil? Avocado oil?
dont add oil to the comal , we latinos never do this and dont add salt to the mix ethier .
Making these today!
Yep love it
I love your presentation
You are hilarious!!!
Definitely invited to the carne asada, yes sir! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
You made making corn tortillas very easy. I love corn tortillas. They are much much better than flour and 20th. Then an awesome job thank you for sharing it with us.❤️❤️❤️😘
My favorite cougar 💕
Absolutely love her
You make it so easy and fun.
As a Mexican... I didn't think I'd live to see an European making tortillas like a pro.
Love it !!!!
@cookimgwithshereen officially In love
Amazing
You never oil corn tortillas unless you are making tostadas or gorditas.....Are they really good this way? I have never made tortillas with sticky masa...
Oh great… now I’ll be bingeing her all day 🤦🏾♀️🤷🏾♀️😂😂🤤
Love her
Your amazing and im now hungry lol
My fav couger🤤
Whats the technic to getting them really thin
Honestly, i fall in Love w/U a lil more everyday whilst i see and hear U make another Food Prep. Vid.!! I'm a Foidie, so its more like I Love what U do!! BTW, U r a Ridiculously Gorgeous Woman!!!😍😊
That slap tho 😂
Mmm
Rico!
Impressive...!!
OMG YOU'RE AWESOME. 🤤😋🌮🌮🌮
Yes! That is how you make a great cooking video especially for impatient views like myself. No long preamble I don't care too hear, quanties for those who don't have a clue, awesome, simple visuals..Nice and short. You pass! You desearves that like you will get when I finish typing this comment.I will consider subscribing.
I’m gonna start smacking my dough for fun😁 SMACK! Take that tortilla!
good God, what was the cheese thing at the end?!
Mamacita 😍 lol
Not gonna lie she looks like fun 😛
Hi miss Sheeran I love you 😍😍
Que rico!
No way is that easy!
I don’t cook so I don’t subscribe to learn how to cook. She really knows how to play the camera you get a feeling she’s almost flirting with you thru the camera. It doesn’t hurt she’s good looking also.
It’s not from “ scratch” when your using “MASA” flower 😂. I’m not even LATINO and I know that much. You GOTTAAAAA start with , BASIC-YELLOW 🌽 CORN pieces
What tortilla press do you use?? 😍
Hell yeah!
No salt?
I love making homemade tortillas but I crush and make my own cornmeal it makes them so so much better
Us normal folks don’t have time for that.
Oh excuse us that make them from instant masa bags lol 😂 t😂😂
Most stylish shireen
This looks like Indian Roti
I’m in love with her and she doesn’t even know I exist 🥺
Love you 💛🥰
Awwww....😇
A woman who cooks represents life. If she don't , she ain't right. DIAMOND CHICK WORTHY ONLY.
My totrillas tear after pressing it. Too much water? It was a soul sucking disaster when I attempted making corn tortillas the other day.
This isn't how you make them from scratch. It's like grabbing a maruchan to make ramen from scratch.
Because your fancy!!! 😂. And what is in that pan!?
recipe next 😉
Her husband is a lucky man 👀
It’s interesting seeing someone put tortillas on a recipe style video. Makes it easy for people to follow. I always grew up watching my grandma and mom just making food, nothing written. I truly appreciate you teaching everyone how to cook because otherwise we’d be missing out on deliciousness ❤️
There is no comparison between homemade and mass-produced tortillas. And I like the way you spank your masa dough.
Was about to comment just that 💜🤌
Seems to be well versed on getting maximum contact for the satisfying sound 🧐🤔 😏🤭
As a Mexican who makes her own tortillas I have heavily pleased with this from the proper texture to the bare hand flipping. I’m showing this to my primos they could learn a thing or two from you.
When tortillas puff up, you know you won 🏆
What’s the reason why it wouldn’t puff up I’m still super new at making tortillas and I’m following the recipe but they don’t puff up 😭
@@Peepshow1994the patting step she does with the towel in the middle is the secret. When you do this, the areas that won’t rise will suddenly rise. Try it.
I’m in love with your cooking. I’m you’ve made me a better cook! My family thinks I’m amazing because you’ve taught me so much.
They’re right! You are amazing! I’m so proud 🙌🏻
I love how you know the real way to use a tortilla.
yesh😊...scooping is the best!!
I don't know too many people who don't.
Yes girl! No spatula, that’s how you do it 😍😍😍
Once I seen they puffed up she got the legit thumbs up
Maseca changed and has too many fillers. I used Bob’s Redmill Organic Corn tortilla mix. Ground corn and lime y ya. Salen bien deliciosas las tortillas. 🤤
😮 thanks for the recommendation! I will try it out. Lime in the the mix before cooked?
I've used Maseca before, but last night used non organic Bob's. What an improvement, the corn flavor is much stronger, great.
Yeah, maseca has changed so much. It's so cheap, though. I think I'm just gonna add corn flavor to the dough. 🤣🤣🤣
@@Rachelllllll2024 health is wealth
@@epicmonkeydrunk True. 😕
Great straightforward video, but as someone who makes corn tortillas regularly, there's no need to let them rest for 30 minutes and also the oil isn't necessary. The pan just needs to be hot enough. Just a heads up for someone who would want to try making them. 😊
Agree on the oil thing, not sure i agree on the sitting thing.
It needs to sit so everything is well hydrated. But I agree with the oil thing.
However! If you buy corn tortillas from the store, I would say oil is good to get that crunch
