Stefan will always protect her, I don't think Damon will act as good as Stefan has, if she now decided to go back to Stefan. And after seeing all these Stelena videos, they have to end up together again. Because he really is the best one for her. He brought out the best in her, and her in him. Damon is... broken. He needs someone who can fix him, and it's not Elena.

Elena was hurt, stabbed by Stefan she still loves him, in those moments she didn't think about Damon at all, Damon didn't exist in her heart all she cared about was trying to keep Stefan from getting hurt. My heart did however shatter for her when she was going to chase after him, but the guilt she felt overwhelming as it is made her sink back behind that sirebond You're right it's just another obstacle one of the most challenging yet.

Even at the end of season 3 when she was human. And it's sad to watch Stefan thinking so low of Damon, when actually he's not any better than him.

Stefan worked his ass off to get the cure for Elena because she was miserable as a vampire. She hated every single minute of it, and she said this all herself. She cried and cried and was in constant pain and Stefan was there for her unlike Damon who threw a hissy fit because she didn't want to be a monster like him. Stefan risked his life and worked hard to get the cure for Elena and she even said that she loved him for it. No Stefan did not treat her as a broken toy all he did was try to help the woman he loved who was obviously suffering and did not want to become a vampire at all. Hell she even said that she was ready to die at the bridge, that's how much she hates being a vampire. Stefan did not once treat her like a broken toy. If Elena was like Caroline, who managed to get the hang of her vampirism pretty well, and Stefan treated her like that then he would've been treating her like a broken toy. But Elena was not like Caroline. Elena was a mess emotionally, physically, and mentally. She hated becoming the one thing she never wanted to be. And it messed her up badly.
Funny thing, when Elena was with Stefan, I always wanted her to be with Damon. Now she's with Damon and I want her to be with Stefan. What happens to me ? ^^
What happened to them ı missed them so much but I trust Klaus he said Crazy or not that kind of love never dies so I belive Stelena is gonna coma back again
I like what you did wonderful work & I do feel bad for Stefen BUT Iam sorry I have to polity disagree on peoples opinion. Elena didn't mean viciously to hurt Stefen but as she said she is not in love with him anymore. He made her feel like a broken toy! She Loves Damon. She has for awhile now being a Vampire Finally gave her the balls to admits it. The show just keeps getting better& better. I do hope the Salvator Boys can find a way to get by this as Damon did when Elena chose Stefan
