With Firmoo, the lens’ edges can be polished. I am -6.75 & -7.25. Some lenses come with the edges polished already. But, the lady’s lenses on the right have a white coating on the edges. If they were polished, it would look way better especially for high prescriptions. I just ordered 2 pair from them last week. I am waiting for them to be delivered. 👁 👁

Ladies you did a very nice job of reviewing your glasses. You both chose glasses that really suit you very well. Honestly you couldn't have done any better going to a ;local optical store for glasses. Your glasses fit you both very well so you both good very good wearing your glasses. Since I don't you is who I can only say the one with the weaker (or non prescription glasses) doesn't seem comfortable with adjustable nose pads on her glasses. She apparently is used to glasses with the molded plastic nose pads. But I think the more she wears her glasses she will soon be okay with them. The other young lady has a very strong prescription as she points out in the video by showing her glasses from a side angle and how thick her lenses are. Firmoo has an option for thinner high index lenses which is much much cheaper than a local store would charge. Her thick lenses are going to cause her glasses to be heavier than her friends glasses by quite a bit. But if she only wears glasses at night when she takes off her contacts then her glasses are fine for that Were you surprised at how easy it was put in your prescriptions? I'm a retired optician and May I ask what your prescriptions are? I am guessing that the one with the strong glasses is maybe around -12.00?

I went back and watched your review of the glasses you both got from SelectSpecs and Marika got a very nice looking pair of non-prescription sunglasses and Melissa you got a cute little pair of , I think, non-prescription glasses. But Melissa you commented about wanting "reading glasses" so you have me totally confused. Do you also need reading as well as your distance glasses or were you just meaning your regular distance glasses. And Marika in the SelectSpes video you said that you don't need glasses and that was why you simply got sunglasses. So did you recently get your eyes examined and prescribed reading glasses or did you just order your glasses with a weak prescription so they would be real glasses and not considered "fake" glasses? If so your glasses probably work fine for reading but things at a distance is probably slightly blurry.with your glasses. Next time you order glasses you want to order them with -.50 SPH instead of +.50 SPH. Doing that your glasses will be perfect at all distances. In fact you would find that they will even give you slightly better night vision when driving. Just be sure to also get the AR coating (anti-reflective coating) and you'll love wearing your glasses. Remember I am a retired optician. Our doctor would write that prescription for patients that had perfect vision but complained about having trouble seeing to drive at night. So you cn can wear them as much and often as you wish and they won't do any harm to your eyes. And if anyone asks you about your glasses you can simply tell them that you're a little bit nearsighted. (Even though your vision is perfect).
Hi Jim, thank you for your comment and your great advice! I (Marika) did get an eye examination a few months back and that's when I learned that I need glasses for the 1st time in my life! My regular lenses are actually what they call "anti-fatigue" so I have a mini correction for both reading and distance. However, the glasses I got from Firmoo are only reading glasses, with the AR coating. :)
I have a feeling that you weren't expecting to be told that you now need glasses. If you (Marika) have job that requires you to be staring at a computer monitor all day long 5 days a week or more then i'm not at all surprised that you need glasses. Computers as well as all the other devices such as I-Phones are taking a toll on everyone's eyes. You might be surprised to know that a recent survey found that 74% of the population now wears some form of vision correction or has had lasik. So your now in the majority. Yay you! So have you gotten your glasses for distance yet? So when you're on the computer or even reading you will be wearing your new Firmoo glasses. The +.50 lenses with the AR coating is just enough to relax your eyes and reduce eyestrain and the AR coating is beneficial because it will eliminate any glare or reflections off your glasses. If oy haven't already ordered your distance glasses be sure to get the AR coating on them as well. So I am going to make a guess that you were prescribed with either -.50 or -.75 for your distance glasses? Your eyes have become nearsighted because of your staring into your computer so much. Being on a computer so much your eyes get "transfixed" at staring at your screen. Your eyes get fixed at seeing your screen at the same distance for hours upon hours. That causes your eyes to not want to focus at things in the distance. Have you noticed that in the morning your probably able to see much better than you do when you're coming home. I used to always tell patients to test their eyes by seeing how well they could see the license plate on the car ahead of them in the morning and then at night. So I don't think you really mind wearing glasses but i'm sure you're still still getting used to wearing glasses. Since you're going to be wearing your Firmoo glasses quite a bit if your on a computer all day. So if your glasses don't feel comfortable on you, like if the nose pads are leaving red marks on your nose or if they fele too tight or too loose behind your ears you can take your glasses to any optical store and have them adjusted so they are perfectly comfortable on you. Oh and by the way if you want to really sound smart when your wearing your distance (nearsighted) glasses and some one asks you what you need glasses for. You can tell them that you have "myopia" or that your "myopic" That's just the technical word for being nearsighted. If you have any questions about glasses or you eeys please feel free to ask me.

It was super easy to put in our prescription when we were ordering. Melissa's glasses are -9.00 and Marika's is +0.5
