    This is one of the best practices of martial arts. Elements of Fight sports and MMA and street techniques, open-minded, practical, good use of shelling (guard), no extra flashy movements but beautiful and efficient at the same time.

    I love it! We practice tetsui (hammer fist) in karate.
    But not with the force and intent here, which is obviously required.

    I love it, thanks guys. I mean you hit with your muscle which is safer then hitting with your knuckles on something hard as chin which could potentielly damage.
    I also like the batman style, where you Hammer fist the go for the leg
    Amazing!!

      We love hammers! So applicable to reality based combat, and are starting to be used in MMA a lot more as well. Yes, much better on the hands, less breaking of knuckles :)

    I like it but just a thought based on experience. If you step in on move two that will disrupt stance of other person and deliver more force to the hammer fist. Good to put in mind there is probably another attacker.

      Makes all men equal. Look up chops to the side of neck also. Could become your first strike. Very easy not hardly any force don't have to be real fast. Could knock someone out with one shot no matter what the size everyone is!! You could double or triple up your attack.. Just check it out Could save your life

    • @tritacacademy
      @tritacacademy  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, in our TRITAC Unarmed system, we consistently "worry" about the third man, or the unseen foe. Real self defense must address that fighting is rarely one on one

    • @tritacacademy
      @tritacacademy  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Cesar Reyes you didn't answer my questions... How do you know that in order to do this flow that you need to be strong?

    • @cesarreyes8320
      @cesarreyes8320 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      TRITAC Academy 1.- absorve the punch of attacker
      2.- relly that the first hammer punch is going to neutralise the attacker to allow you to make the second( low) strike.
      3.- arm vs leg you need to be very strong to cause and impacted..
      And yes I have used hammer fist in mma and krav maga

    • @cesarreyes8320
      @cesarreyes8320 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      The guy that's using that technique is very strong that's why it can be effective on him.....plus the example to block a punch is weak

    And what do you do when your enemy actually knows how to throw a punch?

    • @kumnakumna6150
      @kumnakumna6150 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      So why aren’t you attacking his head when he throws the first punch instead of defending straight away. This is way to complicated. Your right hand should hammer fist his arm instead of blocking and at the same time drive a palm strike into his face. This takes one second ,you take way to long and if there is multiple opponents and you are blocking ..... good luck with that

    • @marcusherts9345
      @marcusherts9345 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Be first, attack is the best for of defence, unless you’re caught by surprise, in which case attack, destroy, don’t be nice

    • @marcusherts9345
      @marcusherts9345 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Jason Patrick That sounds great, but it shouldn’t matter which handed you or the attacker is, who cares, they should be completely overwhelmed by you, & I personally would never assume anything, other than that they have a concealed weapon..

    • @Internalflow33
      @Internalflow33 ปีที่แล้ว

      Take the punch (or deflect it) the best you can whilst stepping in to close the distance, then proceed with close quarters strikes.
      From the cover up, a spear elbow to chest, (arm pit, neck, solarplexus) with the momentum of the body driving forward should break the person's structure.

  • @websurfer352
    @websurfer352 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Hammerfists have an advantage over open hand in that your fingers are protected!! That makes even the fence a dangerous gambit!! Imagine you doing the fence and him putting his hands up in a fence as well and then grabs a finger or two then you’re pretty fucked!!

    • @tritacacademy
      @tritacacademy  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +Michel Dognini - ACE Hey Mike, no, this isn't KFM, Keysi or Defence Lab. It is TRITAC. Because Mike and John (guys in video) have a black belts in Keysi Fighting Method and Defence Lab, you will see influences from those styles. Yet TRITAC is vastly different in its approach and techniques. You can learn more about what we do here:

    The pretend third attacker is childish but useless but a hammer fist has a surprising amount of power behind it.

    • @tritacacademy
      @tritacacademy  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      So what do you do if we don't have a third partner to train with... just ignore the fact that there might be another attacker? Hmm. Seems like good logic to me.

    • @GtTingles
      @GtTingles 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's silly cause if there is a third attacker behind you, he would have tackled or suckered you before you could even come close to throwing that punch. He definitely would not be in the same position he was when you started punching the attackers in front of you. I don't know what you do if you're flanked by three guys. I guess running is your best option and if you can't do that then hope they can't fight

    • @tritacacademy
      @tritacacademy  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Got it, so your best solution is run from your problems, and not train for all scenarios - makes sense. You also have to realize this this is a drill and NOT sparring. We spar 2 vs 1 A LOT, where chaos is the norm. In regards to running, what if you can't run? What is you have to protect your wife or child? We practice combat martial arts, not track and field.

    • @GtTingles
      @GtTingles 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Running to avoid an inevitable beatdown is smart. Sometimes people ask me what they do if a guy pulls out a knife and I immediately tell them to run if possible. The last part of my answer was about if you can't run. Practicing to throw a straight right at a blind spot is useless because you don't know where that third attacker will be once you initiate your attack on the guys in front. 2 vs 1 could be manageable but 3 vs 1 with a man in back of you is not. Anyway, we disagree but that a nice hammer fist in the video

    • @johnjennings7744
      @johnjennings7744 ปีที่แล้ว

      I like it . Just a thought based on experience if you step in on two you disrupt the stance of other person and deliver more force in hammer fist and get inside second punch in one move.

    • @Colimarche
      @Colimarche 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      TRITAC Academy I don't care if you insult me, and I don't care if your feelings are hurt. I'm sure you are very good at what you do, but this video has nothing to do with self-defense. I don't make videos so, yes, I linked to somebody else's video that demonstrates a realistic response to the exact same scenario presented in your video. Have you executed this technique at full speed, against a committed and resisting attacker who is as big or bigger than you? What you're teaching here is impractical and needlessly complex. If you can't handle criticism then don't post videos.

    • @tritacacademy
      @tritacacademy  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Colimarche I love the criticism and replies!! Favorite part of TH-cam!! For us, teaching someone one move like a chin jab is bullshit!! No one can truly learn self defense without learning how to actually fight, and when learning how to fight, you need to do more than just one move. You need to develop skill sets that fit your natural fighting ability.
      So your response of just using a chin jab is hilariously ignorant, because that's not what real fighting is, it doesn't actually teach you anything. It's one small piece of a huge puzzle.
