Hi Sanpo, just watching this for the second time, so much I wanted to comment on, so much to see I couldn’t remember everything! As always, it’s a super video - such beautiful buildings looking clean and fresh, even in the depths of Winter. I love Kynance Mews, it’s amazing how such small spaces can be made to look so attractive - I often see arrangements that give me ideas for my own tiny front garden. Even the window boxes look lovely - wouldn’t fancy cleaning the windows though! Thank you as always Now have some catching up to do!

Loved this but I was hoping you might go the other way from the High Street and walk up towards Campden Hill where Violet Hunt and Ford Maddox Ford lived and wrote, and Hardy stayed every summer in the 180's. So many literary connections in Kensington. I am researching a novelist (Rachel Ferguson) who lived in Philimore Terrace Allen Street and wrote three memoirs that feature Kensington W8 heavily. In Royal Borough (1950) she walks the area and comments about the houses, the people who lived there, the history and myths, the hidden gems like old fashioned shops, of the area she loved. I think she would have loved these walks: unfortunately she died in 1957. She was a founding member of the Kensington society and campaigned to save Thackeray's house in Young Street.
I had to turn the volume off as my dog was barking when he heard the dogs in London barking, lol. Loved the stroll, it reminded me of my visit in 2007. I had booked a room 2020 on Queens Gate a block from this route. At least I got a little feel of what I missed. Hopefully next year. Thanks for your videos.
The Mews. Housing for horses, originally. Accompanied by the underclasses who kept the animals at the ready for the posh. And their homes now... are fabulously overpriced residences of the New Posh. What a rickety old palace England is.
I've stayed at that Holiday Inn so many times...It was nice to see the old Georgian and Victorian parts of the neighborhood. Lots of pints at the Stanhope Arms. Very friendly staff there!

It’s been decades since I’ve been to London and I was coming back for a concert in June 2020 but the pandemic spoiled things. It’s rescheduled for this summer again but I’m sure it will be cancelled again. 😔 these wonderful walking tours keep me longing for my return to this majestic town and I shall live vicariously through you until I’m allowed to travel again without restrictions.
