    Glad you enjoyed your time here in the U.S. There was a clip in your video among the Grand Canyon clips that actually looked like Bryce Canyon in Utah. I have been to both and both are amazing.

    Wow, great video. You were very popular. Looks like you made the most of your year. I'm glad it went well for you. The music was great, good editing. It would have been nice if you had narrated some of it. Looks like you had a great family. You are really beautiful. I bet all of those Southern boys were in love with you. Good job. Glad you were happy here.

    Great video and a great verse of knowledge at the end. Walking a mile in someone else's moccasins will teach you many things. Hope you're doing well.

    I know this video is old but if you ever see this, it is one of the best exchange student vlogs I've seen. Good job. Great editing. You are beautiful and talented. Glad you got to see some of California.

      The music RUINS the v video! How about HEARING what the students have to SAY!. The music has NOTHING to do with the exchange students experience!!

    Awesome video Mathilde! I think it's safe to say I'm a travel addict & when I'm not on the road myself I like to live vicariously through others haha, your video got the job done & definitely makes me want to visit! I know all the hard work that you put into filming & editing this video cause I just recently returned from a trip around Europe where I started making travel videos as well. Anyways I just wanted to stop by & say great work, keep making videos like this :)

      +hakim le boss hey I'm to French but I'm also an American and been American since birth. But my family is French Canadian my grandfather was born in New Brunswick, Canada and also my dad was also born in New Brunswick, Canada as well. My French ancestors left France when the country was still a monarchy under the reign of King Louis XIV. Who were the original colonists of the New France colony. It's been my dream to visit the mother country of my ancestors to visit the areas where my ancestors called home long before colonizing lands in North America. I've only been to one country that is outside of the United States of America which is also the country where I was born. That country was Japan I was born in Japan due to the fact my dad served 23 years in the American Marine Corps. So I love to travel all since my entire childhood was moving from one place to another my whole life. The part of being a military brat I loved was being able to travel across the country. I've done 2 cross country trips in America first from the east coast to the western deserts of Arizona, then the second one was from the west coast to the east coast. Also I've actually been to the Grand Canyon myself and we video taped that trip while at the Grand Canyon. I was in the Grand Canyon during the summer of 1998. I also lived about 2 hours and one minute south from Los Angeles to where I lived in California back in the mid 90s. And we used to pass through Los Angeles to visit some of my relatives who live in Pasadena a few times. But the part of being a military brat I didn't like all that much was where I had to leave my friends behind and had to make new friends everywhere else I had to move to. I even have friends from my childhood that I haven't seen or heard from in 26 years or longer. I don't even know if those friends even remember me or remember that we were friends since I don't even know what their lives are like right now. Like if their single or married with kids since some of those friends were female. So that's what I liked and hated about being a military brat.

    1. Was WEP a good organization to work with ? 2. Most important tips you would give to hosting families in the US. Thanks.

    • @pOrtuugaiiZ
      @pOrtuugaiiZ  7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes it was. I would say that you just need to keep living the same way and consider the student as one of your kid. It has been an amazing experience for me but for my host family too. We're still in contact and see each other on vacation. They're a part of my family now.

    Did you take a gap year? I want to go on a exchange year but my parents don’t want that I take a gap year :( . I’m in my last year of high school so I can either redo my last year of high school in USA or I can go to college there. What would you suggest? Btw I am also from Belgium :)
