sadly they don't have that song on Rocksmith 😭 so I'll just have to react to the live version when I get the chance. They do have "Fear of A Blank Planet" though! :)
@@CrazyAwesome That's okay. I think that Anesthetize is more enjoyable to watch than to play. Haven't listened to Fear of a Blank Planet yet. I might listen to the first time with you as a lead guitarist!
As someone who's a massive fan of Porcupine Tree and also plays a lot of Rocksmith, I really appreciate this take on the reaction video format. Well done!
@@CrazyAwesome On and off since the first Rocksmith came out, so probably over 10 years. I play bass though, and I'm nowhere near as good as you are. It's fun though. 🙂
@jpettersson84 man that's amazing!!! So glad to hear you've been a long time Rocksmith enjoyer! I've been playing myself for about 6-7 years approximately, and still going strong! Awwwww dude. I'm sure you're awesome at it, honestly I definitely have my weaknesses on guitar 😂
Epic composition by one of the most underrated, “unknown” music artists out there(.) Also, the solo in that slowed down change was played by none other than, Mikael Akerfeldt, of OPETH fame, and there is significant overlap between he and the brainchild of Porcupine Tree, Steven Wilson. Between the two of them, they makeup some of the most interesting, impressive, & important moments of progressive/metal music ever recorded! So, you have your marching orders, sir. 🤘🏼
@@CrazyAwesome Its kind of the level 1 request for Porcupine Tree and for good reason its fantastic. If you ever want to dive deeper though there's some insane cuts in the band's discography
@@CrazyAwesome specific recommendation are hard without knowing the listener's taste too well, but i'd say Dark Matter and Mellotron Scratch are good, guitar focused deep cuts worth listening to o7
I'm a sucker for those songs that go from metal to not-metal, back to metal again (or vice versa like this song). I feel like "Falling back to Earth" by Haken has a similar vibe. Plus I don't know if you've done any Haken (I consider them the sort of modern heirs of Dream Theater, though both are still touring and Mike Portnoy played guest... gong on one of their songs).
I've actually never heard them before and honestly dude..... same. I think I like this type of style of song more than normal metal. I love the variations when they switch up styles. It's always so exciting for me!!! Can't wait to do your request! In the meantime I have a couple videos I'll put out!
@@CrazyAwesome Haken will be an AMAZING pick! 1985, Cockroach King, Crystallized, Nightingale, Visions, Celestial Elixir, Veil, The Endless Knot, Atlas Stone, Messiah Complex suite... Oh man, they have so many awesome songs and not even 1 bad album!
Love the reaction. 👍The SW / Porcupine Tree rabbit hole is very deep, but you should definitely check out some of their live performances - and nothing more special than 'Hatesong (Live)' from the Arriving Somewhere DVD th-cam.com/video/98Wcci9-DLs/w-d-xo.html
Try, Opeth - Ghost of Perdition
I posted on another video but this one is newer lol
Hahahaa don't worry I got you fam 💯 👌
You have to do anesthetize !🎉
Noted! Definitely will do that one when I can 🤘🤘
@@CrazyAwesome +1 on the suggestion. Reacting to the live version in Tilburg would be also welcome. Like you did with Pneuma.
@@alexandrosgiotas8816 sure buddy, sounds great!

Porcupine Tree is incredible and SO underrated. I was actually jamming to them yesterday, playing "Blackest Eyes" which was so sick. Love them!!!
This is awesome. Great job.
Anesthetize is the obvious next choice its like their magnum opus
Lots of people have been asking for this one! 👀👀👀

@ i love porcupine tree, steven wilson writing and singing is amazing! Try out anesthetize or way out of here!
Hell yes! Love PT. thank you bro
This song was amazing. Probably their favorite song of mine now!
You should react to their songs 'Russia on ice', 'open car' or 'hatesong'.
I'll do all three if I can - that would be awesome!
Open Car and Hatesong are bangers man!!! Fear of a Blank planet has to be on that list too!
Killer playing as usual man, such a good song
Thanks bro! I appreciate you watching, Stay Awesome buddy!! 🤘🎸💙

I've never seen them live before so it would be awesome to see!!!
Seriously, that tone you switch to is so bad, it actually huirts
Sorry about that man 😞😞 I forget to make some more custom tones often. It's unfortunate I let you down
