Gundam Battle Operation 2: Initial Thoughts on The Nightingale!

- Disappointing. The Nightingale has great weapons including great stun accumulations and far reaching melee. Nice skills like Maneuver Armor 4 and Power Accelerator 2.
However the biggest issue is the size, class, and ultimately survivability of the suit at a very chaotic and hostile 700 cost. The suit lacks skills or buffers that enables it to survive for any meaningful amount of time if the enemy team wishes you gone. This is confusing since at a cost below the Gale is the Xeku Zwei at 650, which despite lacking shock dampeners, has skills like Damage Control, Overfeed, or buffers that try to negate the disadvantages a suit of that size would have.
I absolutely DO NOT RECOMMEND this suit unless you want to knee cap yourself, really love the suit, or are waiting for a buff which I believe should be soon since the devs care about 4-stars above all. Trust me when I tell you it’s not worth getting it if you have a better alternative. Period.
Xeku Zwei casually having better buffers and being as large as this suit and having better skills lol
No Spectator Stream today due to Birthday! I appreciate you all for checking out todays video or have been checking out the channel!
Welp, Happy Birthday and enjoy your special day. As for the Nightingale, when l seen the model via the base, something told me that those binders and the size of the MS was going to be an issue and from watching your video, l was right. Considering l got a lot of free tokens from last week, l decided to pass on getting the Nightingale. Don't get me wrong l love the MS but for now I'll eventually get it after more buffs are added to it. Again, Happy birthday.
The fact that when someone spawns in behind you they land literally on your suit’s ass lol…this thing is massive and the maps are feeling quite…what’s the word….cramped.
I already asked on Reddit but I really, REALLY want to see a 12 man lobby on Arctic Base with only Nightingales. Make it happen Aqua! xD
Aw man that sounds evil lol
4:26 Eyy, that first match had the Xekuzwei in it!
Two mega chonkers on the same team.
Really surprised this suit didn't end up being the next extremely overpowered menace lol
Happy B-Day my dude!
They didn’t want a repeat of last year. But forgot the suit takes up half the map lol. And thank you!
Got it from a single 3 token drop. Played 8 games straight, learned to play it better but it's issues became more and more apparent. It surely can Cook and the melee range makes it very easy for free combos. But the lack of damage control and even lvl 1 buffers makes it sufferingly hard to play against good players (upper A+ and beyond). After the buff i hope it will be at least on equal standing to other 700 4star suits.
You know, they may as well allow you to pilot mobile armors at this point.
ZAKRELLO let's goooo~~~~! :D
Last night, when playing on artic base with this, died instantly. When I play more open-ish maps like impact site it works but not artic for me
I was watching Rob doing a video today from someone with the Nightingale. Didn't really notice the splash from the beam rifle charge.
Yea it’s something I didn’t notice until some friends said they stunned themselves shooting it too close to walls.
Hearing "duhJay" and "shneed" nearly gave me an aneurism. Well done.
Shneed is on purpose. Sneed is often said many times here similar to Funny Jegan being the EWAC Jegan.
Compounding the issue of the size of this suit imo is the very frequent appearance of the small and tight CQC maps in rotation. Sure you're fast, but because of your size you don't have much room to move around or even make use of your incredible mobility. I'm sure Nightingale can get cooking in Space where it has a third dimension of movement. And yeah you can fly on Ground but you'll have to go back down eventually. And compared to the Zwei, if you can't dive into melee because other frontliners in your team are engaging, Zwei can hang back with its missiles, MG, and smartgun and still deal respectable amounts of damage. Nightingale doesn't really have much options at range.
kshatriya needs Flap Booster
I absolutely love this suit first and foremost and for the most part, I don't regret my choice (and using my money) by getting it. This thing has such a presence on the the battlefield that (to me) cannot by matched. I still say this will be my 700 cost raid as I don't enjoy playing the EZZ or banshee that much.
Still, I can't ignore it issues that you brought up that were completely fair and valid as this suit is a bullet and melee sponge that has no way of negating some of that. It only makes sense to me that it was held back because of the absolute broken atrocities of last years anniversary that still affects the 700 today somewhat, but they were a bit too much and it feels too easily stopped by the enemy and funnily enough, your own team. I can definitely see it getting buffed more than likely in the next unit adjustments or if we're lucky, in the next few weeks as if really needs some love. Like you said, it'll be a bad play if they just left it a 4 star suit in this unfortunate state. I'll keep using it whenever I play 700 hundred and fully except the cheek clapping that comes with it.
Playing it means more data for the devs to determine buffs, so play away lol.
@@aquavengeance true that. Also, I forgot to say great video as always dude. Making banger initial thoughts videos on new suits as always.
@@Toxic_Verillion Danke schön
It takes up half the frikkin screen!!! 😳
I looked at other suits and looked at the baund doc. It has waist special cushioning for its horseshoe crab butt, MEANING the nightingale back buffer ONLY APPLIES TO THE FUEL TANKS ON ITS BACK, NOT ITS AS
bruh
@aquavengeance ok, I've tested it and can confirm the back buffer only applies to the fuel tanks
This needs to be able to fire its mega beam chest particle cannon while boosting and maybe lose it’s stationary funnels or add follow funnels so you can move and fire with those. Also needs damage control.
i said to myself i needed a 700 raid and now i regret pulling for this....
Why I’m destroying ppl with it
You just have to master it
tbh, i think they learn quite a lots from Zwei that thing is too unstoppable.
The kit of nightingale is OP but the stationary funnels ruined my expectations I thought it was gonna be like hi nus funnel support but on the nightingale Instead but it's automatic (like the follow funnels but automatically shoots and has stun accumulation) the kash should get another funnel sub weapon cause it has more than just 10, but depends on yhe devs
Yea it’s odd that they exist the way they do.
I just realized something this is missing:
Offensive System. With how long of an animation its multibeam saber has, it really really needs Offensive System.
it has Offense System, the Melee Composite System skill has Offense System baked in
@@scorch3677 Really couldn't tell with how often he got stunned mid melee attack.
Dongo the pursuit funnels do stun but they have to hit all but 1 shot to do so and if you have damage control ... I had them stunning the general in the test room
From what i have seen and foght against the lessons from the zwei were definitely ignored ive so many nightingales that i just feel sorry for ppl who are trying it out after they spun for it i can feel the buffs coming like damage control and waist buffers
That new part on a lvl 5 zaku 2 is disgusting but i think i daid this before but i think they should have made this a gen and the hi nu the raid.
Level 4 geara zulu with it is a beast lol
@aquavengeance i have a question. Does the new part act like learning computer where it you get 12 melee defs when the match begin then you get 20 melee defense after 4 mins?
@@maryus786 Nope. You get the 12 resistance. Your max resistance goes up by 20 from 50 to 70 if you’re looking to go past the 50 threshold.
@@aquavengeance wait so you can go past 50 melee resist with this?
@@maryus786yes
The Nightingale's size has been a nuisances to me, piloting it or not. I cause a lot accidental hits when I'm near the Nightingale, getting in the way during tight spaces and their binders sometime blocked my view as I was trying to aim... Make of it what you will, the Nightingale is alright in my book, but it's size is not in my okay book.
The asshimar does an annoyingly amount of damage. Shit needs a bit of nerfing
Nah, let my boy fist.
Ive realized that for some odd reason if you get hit at by a raw tackle (no counter animation) the nightingale gets toppled for some reason and ive only seen it happen to this suit and im gonna be honest its pretty annoying, hope its just a bug and not something they programed into the ms
A lot of big suits will do that as their form of getting countered. The Zock, Xamel, etc.
It is actually a counter, it's just big suits that would visually break the counter animation get knocked down immediately. Aside from the visuals, everything is exactly the same - you suffer counter damage, the enemy regains all thruster etc.
Please explain to me how this game outlived Gundam Evo, I just can't fathom it. How is It that this outdated game pulled more people than that modern fun game???
If I had to guess, the gameplay didn’t appeal as much, the egregious monetization, the constant readjustments of suits, not enough usage of the Gundam IP itself for things like maps.
@aquavengeance I remember someone on the gunevo reddit suggested a map where the first part of the match you're playing inside of a colony while it's getting dropped and the second half of the match is after the colony has dropped and I thought that was a pretty cool Idea for a map
because its not overwatch with a gundam skin.
Because it's a better GUNDAM game, not a better shooter. People wanted a gundam game for GUNDAM evolution. We got an overwatch ripoff with a gundam skin, which while decent isn't a >>>gundam
everytime i get backed up into a corner with this suit i can't see anything other then the wing things on its back
