The melanin protects their skin and if you used Vaseline it helps your skin alot i am white and puerto rican and my big mama has always put Vaseline on us since were babies and ive always done it since ive been old enough and ive always done it to my kids when tbey was growing up now they all do it themselves but it helps your skin so much no lie it works amazingly .my grandma got my mama doing it when her and my daddy got together at 19 years old and my mama is a 65 year old white woman but looks like shes in her late 40s and my aunties that are younger then my mom and my uncle that is about 10 years younger then her they all look older then my mama and they all used to say you crazy for wearing all that Vaseline on you it aint alot lol you dont rub it on you like you basting yourself with it lol u use less Vaseline then you use lotion cause is spreads out more but it helps your skin and complexion and it helps with wrinkles and everything the stuff is amazing no joke ..
