The first 3D film shot in India - "My Dear Kuttichathan" has a couple of interesting scenes. One of the songs - "Aalippazham Perukkan" has a scene with the kids walking on the floor, walls and the ceiling as well as one with the swing going all around the room. Wikipedia says they actually got a rotating room for this - a bit like that Inception scene but back in 1984. I could find a dubbed video of this song by the title - "Rare Pearls-Chella Kuzhandhaigale" on TH-cam - same video, just language has changed. This movie did have a couple of other cool scenes which I do forget - it was a big deal back then and a lot of the older generation who were around when this film released still talk about it. It's gotten a few newer treatments (albeit with pretty poor CGI) since then where they've added a few scenes - something like what George Lucas did - but it's nowhere near the original. I think you guys would enjoy checking it out ! If nothing for that rotating room concept! Also - BIG fan of your videos!

Thatw was such a cool episode! Gave me lots of nostalgia. After having heard so many stories about the different Simpson eras from the writers sides it was really interesting to get an insight into the animation evolution.
I was messing around in the 3D software POVRay (a freeware Ray-Tracing program that had no GUI, but was line code driven and then rendered to see the results) back in the mid to early 90s and you could cheat soft phong shadowing by changing the surface to rubber or something similar. Ray tracing back then was all about phongs since there was no subsurface scattering. It was opacity, reflection, refraction and phong. With a more rubberized surface (compared to glass), the shadows could get soft.
I was also playing around with POVRay in those days...aiting for the render to complete only to see reflections on a non-reflective surface. I do not miss those days. Scenes that would have taken literally ALL DAY with POVRay can be created and rendered in blender in 30 minutes or less.
Wow, this episode was such a treat to me. I'm a lifelong Simpsons fan. I'm that one guy still arguing and defending the show, even the most recent seasons. Thanks for this one, I really appreciated.
I have been following you guys for years, but this is by far the perfect episode for me! There were two shows that inspired me to start down the road of art - Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and The Simpsons! My family was very poor when I was growing up and I never had any art supplies so I would use a biro on yellow printing paper at the age of 10 to draw the Simpsons in my bedroom over and over until I perfected them. Thank you so much for this episode. You have encompassed my life in art in one episode. My favourite scene ever in The Simpsons was when Bart ran out of the school and said, in disgust, "I kissed the teacher" and started spitting 😂😂😂😂😂😂 I have crisp memories of the CGI episode and so many more. Thank you again. Btw, read Maus by Matt, it is a fantastic graphic novel.

Why are you against a predatory company that pretends to deal with mental health while in reality just hires scammers to waste your time, money and harvest your information to sell?
Why arent you😂@HercadosP
You guys are so consistently good. Wish i could still afford to support you monetarily. I'm grateful you will post most of your stuff on YT. It says alot that ppl like this appeciate YOU.
DO NOT USE BETTER HELP THEY LEAK PERSONAL DATA!!!
That is so shity how did you learn about that
Great episode! David is a legend and responsible for so much entertainment over these many years.
Excited for the portal short but i hope you guys rethink your betterhelp sponsor
As someone who started with them on the Tracey Ullman show, thanks.
Guys the sponsorship of betterhelp really hurts your credibility.
💔
I AGREE ITS SAD
They had multiple Raycon sponsorships where their earbuds were garbage but they still took the bag. Doesn't surprise.
@@LiftYourGame its different with raycon if the product sucks, Betterhelp is a service to help people with problems and in turn which is also their lives and also taking their info and using it maliciously just look it up there are so many videos on it
@@LiftYourGame At least the Raycons were a tangible thing. And they didn't sell your psychological issues to advertisers. Personally, I'd rather watch ads for Raid Shadow Legends than "Better" Help.
‘We started in May of 1989’
Talks about Lisa gaining her sax
“Is that a Bill Clinton reference” so young 😂
Love watching the Jordan's read ads. They're both super good at it (though I still skip often and appreciate the timer).
Betterhelp...
Thank science for sponsor block
it's so freakin cool to see all these crucial members of groundbreaking projects come onto Corridor talking about how they've been enjoying watching their youtube. of course while it is the kind of content they'd gravitate towards, it's still amazing to see the community it creates!
stop betterhelp comeon guys
What a scoop! An absolute giant of animation, and he seemed really happy to share his experience of those early Simpson years (which he must get asked about *a lot*)
Where did the comments about betterhelp go?
I don't know what this comment section was like 20 hrs ago, but anti-betterhelp comments are plentiful right now.
This guy has no idea how much he changed my life with this show.
The Simpsons has been like a friend that's always there to make me laugh even when life is hard! My All time favourite show
Great episode, except for Better Help. Ditch them.
what about them?
Thatw was such a cool episode! Gave me lots of nostalgia. After having heard so many stories about the different Simpson eras from the writers sides it was really interesting to get an insight into the animation evolution.
are we going to see a portal short film soon?
Scenes that would have taken literally ALL DAY with POVRay can be created and rendered in blender in 30 minutes or less.
guys, you can get better sponsors then Better Help, they on some heavy controversy.
These are my favourite episodes 😭 i love hearing the history of animation and VFX from the people who were a part of it.
Great video but how can you justify a betterhelp sponsorship in 2024?
Wow, this episode was such a treat to me. I'm a lifelong Simpsons fan. I'm that one guy still arguing and defending the show, even the most recent seasons. For me The Simpsons is and always will be my comfort watch, it doesn't matter at what stage I am in my life or what's happening, I always go back to the yellow family. Thanks for this one, I really appreciated.
Kinda shitty they are still signed with Betterhelp
I have been following you guys for years, but this is by far the perfect episode for me!
There were two shows that inspired me to start down the road of art - Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and The Simpsons!
My family was very poor when I was growing up and I never had any art supplies so I would use a biro on yellow printing paper at the age of 10 to draw the Simpsons in my bedroom over and over until I perfected them.
Thank you so much for this episode.
You have encompassed my life in art in one episode.
My favourite scene ever in The Simpsons was when Bart ran out of the school and said, in disgust, "I kissed the teacher" and started spitting 😂😂😂😂😂😂
I have crisp memories of the CGI episode and so many more.
Thank you again.
Btw, read Maus by Matt, it is a fantastic graphic novel.
13:35 "The Simpsons did it!" just reached a new level
1983's "Fire and Ice" seems like a good fit for an Animators React episode.
Hooolllllyyyy.... Such a great episode! Not super technical, not too chatty too. Just the right amount of knowledge and charisma. Feeling like I was at the bar with a friend that i havn't seen in a long time.
Betterhelp ads are where I click away from videos. Too bad, I was truly enjoying this one.

It's weird how youtubers keep taking their money, even with their comment sections being filled with people who take _(righteous)_ offense to them. I'm aware that youtubing is hard these days but come on, you _gotta_ have some standards!
@@antisoda I'm sure there's plenty of companies out there willing to sponsor Corridor's excellent content. I'm not saying creators should scrutinize every single corporation that wants to partner with them, but sometimes sponsors are so blatantly misleading and full of malpractices that you just can't turn a blind eye to them.
The sponsorship was probably $X amount for Y video segments across a set period of time. Breaking the contract would get them sued so they’re not going to do that.
You have GOT TO react to shadow generations dark beginnings!! It looks 2D, is actually in 3D, but it's not at all obvious!! It's crazy!!
here in brazil we have a very famous singer and song writer called Alceu Valença. david silverman looks exactely like him
They both have long, dyed brown hair and grey facial hair, and sometimes wear hats, but other than that, I don't see a resemblance.
@@Mattened thats exactely it. those things make them look a lot like each other
What a great episode. Especially, David Silverman's hair-cuts changing over the decades.
Wren's response to the 3D Homer stuff is so fun.
Please stop doing better help sponsorships. They sell customer data behind their back. This is not just shady and immoral, it’s genuinely harmful to those affected
These people are Amazing ❤ All The Love from Brazil
8:55 Betterhelp is incredibly problematic. Please do not support them
That 1. angle of Bart from top-left-back (left-back-top back-top-left younameit) is fascinating as F as in perspective drawing of/with only his epic sido-cut-hairdo and loads of his skull + earlobe visible
STOP THE BETTERHELP SPONSORSHIPS! You're better than that.
