Okay. I started weeping the moment she started singing. Never experienced someone so gifted be so unassuming, warm, and humble. My brain and my heart pretty much melted.
As an alto, this just gave me so much hope and confidence. I often feel like I don't have much of a range because I'm not a powerhouse soprano, but there's so much that I can do with my head voice and lower chest voice. I don't have to feel incapable or less than. I'm encouraged!

Being mixed and from the south, when I was stuck visiting with the mainly white side of the family & had to go to church for like an hr & some change, it was like enduring Hell itself. And when they sang, it was like rhythm-less death. Whereas, when I was home, I went to A.M.E. & Holiness churches, I'd be there like I was on a work shift but loved it. You could feel the reverence & spirit. You can see & feel the difference. Later, I found Hermetics & Yoruba, but I still appreciate Gospel and my un-erring hate for contemporary christian lives on, lol. Sorry, it's just terrible.
