    That cat is gorgeous! It's funny how well it blended in to the stone.

    Thanks for showing a bit of my country! I have to say that there's not as much people questioning how European(and specially Iberian) megalithic constructions were built as people questioning how Egyptian ones were. Not try to compare but both are quite astonishing and worth investigating. Good job bud!

    Can you explain the deep vertical passage in the rear of the large dolmen? I would have to say that it is the most interesting and intriguing of the whole video.

      When i was there it said they werent sure how deep it is. Lotsa sediments.
      Thats also where the skeletons were found. Dumped from some recent war.
      We know extremely little about the originals

      I also was intrigued by the shaft/well and wanted to learn more about it.I wonder which came first, the well or the Dolmen?How on Earth was that dug/drilled out?I used to visit the Dolmens/Quoits in Cornwall but have since learnt there are some impressive ones all over the world like Korea, Japan, India, Russia, Romania.

    on 3.00 min. about cats - I have the same experience. They are everywhere around megaliths. Somehow I was the last and only one visitor on Gozo Ģgantia in winter - January 2015 - nobody was around, just that cat. He stared at me with a sight I still have light shiver. I still wanted to use a moment without public to make some images, but he said - its too late, leave alone : ) and I left...

    maybe this is a Velikovsky shelter, they say vines in a close flyby orbit and built these to survive the electrical discharges.

    The skeletons found were a couple of hundred years old. From some war. They were dumped in the well.
    Im surprised ur not more exited about "the well". Its so well cut, straight into the bedrock.

    I came here because this was written up in "Science", August 2024, entitled "Ancient monument's builders knew their science."

    Even more amazing than the size of the camera stones is the 60’ “well,” which is definitely drilled in hard stone, with spiraling rings. How was that done by Neolithic people?!?

    Why are Dolmen's referred to as Temple's? just because they face a certain way. They would have far more use as seasonal clocks for agriculture. Once the Winter Solstice had passed, the farmers knew that summer was coming. The question is...how did the builders know how to construct these things to have the effect that they do, when all that they had was a flat piece of land?

    • @jimmywhitlow2012
      @jimmywhitlow2012 ปีที่แล้ว

      maybe farmers stored seed to germinate in them. Not sure.

      The ancient Tartessos were in an area just north-west of these dolmens & Classical Greek authors tell of a thriving tin industry (needed in making bronze) as well as silver & other metals. Ancient Iberia was known for its metal mines & skilled metallurgists.

    I can see that blocks are made from shaped petrified snakes. Does anyone else see that??? Really! Seems if you look closely, it seems all the blocks are made from linked serpents that were petrified after installation. Construction with snakes and petrification? It looks that way!!!
