    Cracking red to the middle dude, Jimmy appreciated that one! Nicely played as a shot to nothing too. Enjoying watching the league matches, keep em coming ;-)

    Cracking performance from you to get the 22 break. That's probably as much pressure to perform as you're ever going to feel. It's very intimidating playing against someone with that kind of reputation in front of an audience.
    My local club is Q Gardens in Bradford, which is where ex-world champion Joe Johnson practices nowadays. He's still as keen as ever and is down there 6 days a week. I have a match/coaching session with him every Monday. Playing off a 50 start it's normally about 5-4 either way. But sometimes it can get silly - Joe put a 132 break past me last week.

      Yeah I feel I did well to get that, just didn't get on the bottom red of the two so had to go safe. I loved playing in front of everyone, thought I'd be bricking it but I wasn't as bad as I thought.
      My 22 was the highest anyone put in against him so that's a right touch.

    Well played Andy, you did yourself proud there. A tap on the table and a tap of the cue from Jimmy White is definitely something to shout about.

    Such an amazing experience. Jimmy still the best ever with the rest....does he ever miss.
    You came back into the frame very nicely 👌 , shame about the black.

      No, he didn't miss a single shot all night with the rest!!
      Definitely an amazing experience

    Shows pretty well that professionals even when they get old and can not really compete with the top players anymore will still crush any amateur with no problem. But respect to you for actually producing some good pots as well! And massive respect to Jimmy for keeping professional attitude and treating you just like any other player and not treating this as just a fun game.

    What a brilliant opportunity to play the great Jimmy White. Shame you fell a bit short on that black mate. No disgrace at all though against one of the all time greats. 👏👏👏👏

    Nice.... It must be great to see Jimmy play,,,let alone playing him,,,, Nervy break off,,,looks like you tried to steer the cue ball to the right place.....the in-off actually helped i think,,,,whats the worse that can happen after that,,,nerves all gone.... I have watched a few of your videos and enjoyed them....keep up the good work buddy. Most of all "enjoy" your snooker.....

      The pack wasn't straight but I didn't want to get the ref to replace it as I didn't want to upset him or Jimmy 😔

    • @workrestandplaysnooker
      @workrestandplaysnooker  ปีที่แล้ว

      And yes it was great to play him. He played 10 frames, made 2 tons and one was for a max but missed a very tricky last red.

      @andrewrafferty566 ปีที่แล้ว

      I would have been the same...im not critisizing your shot,,,we have all done this many times ourselves.....I think you played well and Jimmy also showed his appreciation to you,,,well done mate.@@workrestandplaysnooker

    Well done!!
    Everyone who watches the channel knows you can'play better than that.
    If I was playing Jimmy I would of crapped it and probably not potted a ball.
    Congrats

      Cheers. I'm gutted about that black as I fancied the red.
      I was nervous in the build up but calmed...a bit... when on the table

    If that black went in you may of beaten him, If I was playing him I would of been lucky to score 1 :D, I did score a few points in my Jimmy Robertson match but nothing to wright home about. I was due Willie Thorne but a couple of days before he had the results back saying he had leukaemia so never had a chance to play him before he died and ke was making tons again so he said so would of been a fun match. But maybe oneday I'll play another pro.

    • @workrestandplaysnooker
      @workrestandplaysnooker  ปีที่แล้ว

      It's definitely an experience playing a pro or ex pro. You learn so much from just watching them up close.
      Sorry to hear you were due to play Willie but lost out because of his illness.

      @woogieman007 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@workrestandplaysnooker Yeah bad timing for both of us, he was looking forward to it as was I. When I played Jimmy Robertson I went into the match playing stupid shots knowing I was going to lose. Wish I gave him a better game. I haven't played for nearly a month. I'm still not very motivated to play lately but still enjoy it when I play decent

    How did Jimmy look in person? Seeing him on tv recently, he looks pale and thin! Hope he's well.

    • @workrestandplaysnooker
      @workrestandplaysnooker  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That might just be the TV lights, I know he's lost some weight but he looked good in himself.
