I noticed that you add it to your whipped sugar scrub, but that also doesn’t contain water in the mix. Fascinated by the science of this. Are you referring to the water on peoples wet hands that might drip in to the jar?
Sweetheart I appreciate your curious side but I’d be lying if I told you! lol the truth is, If I’m not sure - then I’ll use it (just to b safe+ it doesn’t hurt anything) & then when I know for a fact you don’t need it, I don’t add it!
@@xanaxsnax the reason you would put it in a body scrub because you’re using body scrub in the shower which may come in contact with water…that’s the difference with putting it in body scrub vs not putting it in lip scrub

Love this! Can you use a beeswax substitute? Does it melt when shipping during summer months? Well it may melt but it will firm up again once in room temperature... I'm guessing.
Just like your finger you'll have to clean your push top after every use. Even if you store it in the fridge, as soon as it makes contact with your warm lips it starts to melt. You end up using more product than necessary, and you still gotta clean all the melted product off. So I think a push top is pointless. With your finger you use exactly what you want without wasting product, and cleanup is easier.
Buying these ingredients separately is 10x more expensive than just buying a pre-made lip exfoliating balm. I just made mine with olive oil, honey, sugar and a bit of Vaseline.
Why use good ingredients, and then put something like vasoline in it, as vasoline is leftover petroleum material from oil and gas production. Most people that are making these recipes are selling them for a profit, and once you figure out your ROI, it isn’t that expensive to just do it right…just saying.
