That's were we're different. I prefer not seeing the finished product till the end. I think it takes some of the excitement away to see it in the beginning. However, some videos explain what is about to be made, which is a good compromise.
Suggestions: 1) Tabs and slots for the feet instead of welded so they can be removed and stored inside the BBQ for space saving if stored or transported. 2) I have a folding BBQ that has side panels that don't go all the way to the bottom and live coals sometimes spill out through that gap, so having them more of a semi circle to the bottom could prevent that.
Way to heavy for as small as it is. I made a BBQ pit way lighter out of an old tool box I jest put some bolts screwed in the sides to hold the screen drill holes in the top for vents. Everything fit in the tool box locks and can keep in the truck of a car ready for beach, park what not and way lighter then that. The tool box I bought a garage sale for $5 buck. I know it's not scrap metal but if you have any type of metal box around it can easily be made into a BBQ pit box. Just cut hole on the bottom and top to vent it. A hobo stove could be easily be made out of pip with a screen just cut a hole on the bottom so you can feed or put wood on the bottom it will get real hot fast like a rocket stove.

I turn on the 'tunes' and grab a beer and Wa- La 😆 I subbed - gonna see what else you've built
A tennis ball canon. Made one once. For the fun of it, I took ten tennis rackets and lined them up. I charged the canon with M-80 and fired it at the rackets. The ball went through six rackets, so I loaded it up again and us a quarter stick. I lit the fuse and ran like hell. Got behind my truck just in time. The ball went through all ten rackets and kept on going. The pipe, never did find that.

Even small pieces can be too valuable to throw away. And if you have some leftover short pieces such as the 1” by 1/8” that Tim used as feet, and need a longer piece, you can weld them end to end, on both sides, and have a long piece that’s as strong as the original. By the way, can I ask a COMPLETELY UNRELATED QUESTION concerning welding ground clamps? Over the years, I have replaced all my grounding clamps with the super strong cast brass(?) type because those are so bullet proof and secure. I have always wondered why those heavy duty brass clamps have a sort of "duck bill" design, where the bottom piece protrudes about 1/2 inch past the top piece, making it kind of awkward for many projects. Why are these designed that way? There are many makers, but an example would be the Berger 63849 clamp at HF. Call me dumb, but I tend to cut that protruded part off, flush with the top, first thing. Thanks for your great videos.

What would be nice if you had access to a platinum sputtering machine. It would never rust . Such a small amount of platinum will be needed. The razor blades are done that way
I thought it would be a mini barbecue. Nice piece of pipe to start off with. The engineer I do work with bought a nice European stick welder. Similar to what I had my mind on purchasing. I
You could also use the other side of the pipe as a lid. Nice work 🙂
