Yes...the new model does have the gear indicator bro...but just check with the service center mechanic before replacing the old cluster with new one...

Don't give false information brother I too believed previously and tried to explored about it. With other key also we can start the bike. I tried with removing key plugs and shorted them to check, it's working as normal bike only. So there is no internal safety for Apache keys.
