I think the house he’s in is his what his mind is like, complete chaos (also the House of Balloons). You could also say maybe in a coma due to him ODing at the end of FAITH which transitions into blinding lights. I think In Your Eyes is apart of the dream he’s having while he’s still unconscious and this is a continuation. The people in this video were holding him back from escaping, which can be a play on his demons. In Faith he says the demons tryna put him back in his grave. And when he’s in like the quote on quote desert (maybe his grave) that could be his mind without the chaos. Or how he’s even given up and he’s back to his old self, he’s in this cycle that he cannot get out of. Just an idea, kinda hard to explain through text than talking out loud lol. I think we’re seeing two versions of himself, the one that falls and collapses is the old Weeknd, surrounded by the past while his addictions tear him apart. Whilst that’s happening, we see the current Weeknd witnessing this, understanding that if he continues down his old past, his addictions will be his ultimate demise. I just think it’s a proper farewell to the past, everything from the lyrics to the imagery suggest that.
the video is deeper than a lot think, it involves glass tables, balloons resembling the trilogy era. Also, the asian girls from the kissland era. Towards the end he ends up in a dessert by himself showing that he has escaped all of it. It shows that he is trying to move on and get away from his past and he does.
The video has a Impala, the animal, and it means a connection between heaven and earth, life and death.
The desert is a place to a person found himself, and peregrination.
And others symbolism ans interpretation too. So good
I saw the desert as him being surrounded by emptiness even amidst a seemingly joyous party

You see the “House of ballons” reference with the people pulling him back to his old ways. He may not necessarily want to get rid of his past or that style of music but more-so wants get away from the drug abuse, sex, and everything else that he has lived through. The majority of this album talks about him and his love for Bella, and living like the way he used to would fringe his current emotions and or feelings. Just a thought and I know there probably more stuff to talk about in this video but I’d be writing a whole book by then😂 Then again that’s what keeps us coming back because there’s always something new to discover in his songs, to me the true definition of an ARTIST. XOTWOD!!
I just find it weird how Abel and his team have not promoted this music video. It’s been out for hours, and they’re usually spamming their social media accounts promoting new videos but not this one

My interpretation of this video is that He’s high and starting to come down, so he’s starting to realize this isn’t what he wants anymore. The balloons represents House of balloons (obviously) and everyone around him represents people who enjoys his old music and prefers him to be on drugs. They see he’s hurt and don’t care because they just want to be entertained. The people dressed in black are his demons and fans dragging him down wanting him to stay in his old ways. But he’s fighting his way out, he’s fighting his urges to get high again because he doesn’t want to be that type of person anymore. He’s in a cycle and every time he tries to stop he just ends up falling back to his old ways. He then realizes when he’s sober there’s no one around him. He’s alone in the cold realizing he lost his fans due to wanting to be sober and him losing his love because it was to late to change. I believe in the end when he’s looking straight into the camera, he’s right back to where he started, coming to a conclusion that this is all he has now and decides to stay in the high.

You're not the only one who thinks that this song is hitting differently coz it is having its own moment. I heard this song twice or thrice only when this album was on loop for 2-3 days straight. But after that I only listened those songs which I added to my playlist and this was not one of them coz it was the last track. But while watching this mv, this song started growing on me and I was like "Why did I not pay attention to this song before?". Maybe it's the music video or maybe it's the fact that this song is finally getting the spotlight has made it so much better for me.

This video reminds me of depeche mode's "in your room" music video. The visuals are very theatrical and symbolic. They reference almost every era of their previous work/art at that moment. they were living through their addictions. And basically was a very dark time for them as a band and individuals. The director of that video said it was some sort of farewell to the singer since he didn't think would make it through the other side. This video gave me the same feeling of contemplating your self-decay. Very depressing indeed. And beautiful at the same time

What a colossal job this album is, there will be many other albums, very good ones but this one is the quintessence of Abel's career no other will be able to match it, it is unique in quality and depth, the album of a lifetime, for 4 years I have listened to it once a week, that's an understatement and Until i Bleed out is the culmination of this monumental work.
Go back and watch the music video for The Zone from Thursday. This video has many similarities to that video

He's not a bird anymore, reminded me of The zone where the girl crying sitting on a sofa, he's not crying but he's numb n sad. I think the girls who are dragging him down in this video are all the girls he had in all the previous years of trilogy, and now he can't fly cause of the sadness n darkness.
I listened to this album on drop night while on acid. One of the best experiences ever. I felt like it was made for that moment.
It feels like this will be he's last album before he disappear from the spotlight...

Glasse table girls and balloons all over the place
1. The video basically draws reference to his earlier work (cult favorites): Trilogy and KissLand. The actual balloons, obviously represent House Of Balloons but the colours of the balloons represent the colour pallet from Thursday and then costume design-wise, his outfit uses colours inspired by Echoes Of Silence.
2. If you guys ever paid close attention to his earlier videos from Trilogy and KissLand era, the girls in the video were usually always the center of attention while he basically just used to sit/stand and sing while they danced for/around him or whatever - but now he’s the one center stage. Also, the women used each represent the women from the time of The Zone, Glass Table Girls, KissLand, etc..
3. I really feel like once we’ve had all the videos released, we’ll be able to re-arrange them in chronological order and make sense of the actual narrative he’s been telling visually.

I think this video essentially shows his come down. He spent all this time on these substances and now reality is setting in. Certain flashes of him alone in the same room but dark pop up, and then all of the ppl are pulling and clawing at him as if it’s his addiction begging him to stay, and it’s right as reality starts to kick in. Matches the lyrics “I tell myself I don’t need it anymore”

Balloons are definitely hinting back but because of how inspired each music video he's done has been by films I think the confetti is a clever reference to the party scene from Phantom Thread.
Even the balloons are prevalent in that scene so I think it works both ways.

Personally,I interpreted the people pulling him down as the drugs obviously,they are pulling him down,but also as the old fans,or the trilogy stans.
They won't let him do the music he wants to do,they always want him to do the trilogy sound.
Also a lot of call backs to older stuff.
The glass table girl,the balloons,the imagery as the zone video,the goat from call out my name video.
A lot of symbolism that needs a few rewatches to catch.

Besides that I think this one is most probably a callback to house of balloons, given that he mentions going back to his old ways a lot in the record and also this being the last track on the album it would close the circle perfectly and just tie back to the very beginning of his career
in my opinion, as the confetti falls unendingly and the people are grabbing him it's his old life telling him that "THE PARTY ISNT OVER. IT WILL NEVER BE OVER" and his struggle to try to escape it. Quite a frightening visual display.
