Happy Chinese New Year/Happy Lunar New Year! In celebration of the Year of the Dragon, I have uploaded my entire journey through China. Thanks for sharing this Josie, I’ve just finished up my trip in China too, what an amazing experience travelling this country. I hope to be back soon. Can we all appreciate how awesome Josie’s China vids are!🙋♂️🙌❤
As a Chinese citizen i would strongly suggest every one coming to have a local with you (tour guide, friends etc.), because you are missing out sooo much! The language and information barrier really limited ur experience here - food, attractions and actual experience: e.g. we would buy everything and pay with our phone - and thank you Josie for revealing what's it really like! Feel free to ask me anything under this comment 🌹Happy New Year!
@@luketi789 First is definitely the food. Foreigners don't really get the true authentic local ones for their lack of information. Second is the local life - for example Josie is definitely missing some of the key parts of Chinese's life like mobile payment and buying everything on phone, etc. last is the attractions and hotels cuz the places foreigners usually go to are the ones that are a bit outdated sometimes - For example no tourists really go to the city park - they may be built in the early phase of China's economic development and may not represent the full image of it. In terms of Shanghai my favourite would be the Lujiazui, and the museums and streets that hide away from the center.
@@luketi789 China is so big a country that there are different traditions for areas. For example, in Chinese new year, Shanghai downtown become silent and the people only give blessing each other when they meet on the street. However, if you travel to some areas of southern China, you can get the chance the take part in the amazing New year events. (You can try to search "英歌舞" in TH-cam to find some videos about kind of shows. But, you have to know different activities are there every day during Chinese new year and special activities will be hold in some special years) Even me, a native Shanghai people, don't know much about it. If I travel to Chao-Shan area, I also need find some local friends to query where and when I can find the best activities. China is absolutely much much much more interesting than the vlogs show you. It is so lucky if you have local friends everywhere in China that you can enjoy all the fun. But, I know, it is hard even for Chinese local people.

Tks for sharing! Shanghai is more expensive than Beijing, and Xi'an is cheaper than Beijing. Just like in some countries, during holidays, all the tourist attractions are closed.
Good to know you enjoyed China and it is right with western media being bias with China and always label it as bad. One little correction, we say / call Chinese New Year and not Luna New Year. :)
Everyone knows the holiday origins from China. While different countries celebrate different version of CNY, Lunar new year is the correct term whereby it is the common ground to address this holiday. She is correct to call it as LNY, while you are correct to call it CNY. But it is obnoxious when you try to correct her to call it CNY.
I don't really want to get into debate as this is someone's video and I just threw in a random comment. Chinese New Year is just that, why change it? because they want something that belongs to them and different to the Chinese. It's like taking the Moon Cake and call it Lunar Cake and now it doesn't relate as much to the Chinese, others then can relate to. But at the end of the day it is the same thing.
@@Zosla83 this is the limitation of local Chinese’s understanding. Let me get you one fact. The education system oversea use 农历新年 or 华人新年(for Chinese ethnic) instead of 中国年。while China Chinese will use 中国年 which rhyme as CHinese new year as well. you see oversea people see this as a new year celebration in their country, not 中国年 or 华人新年 since some of them not chinese ethnic, or Chinese assimilated well locally, but still celebrate it. So lunar near year is more correct term for global usage instead of CNY. I guess you never understand that or even try to understand that as you are heavily influenced by your social media or big G teaching 🤷
@@daniellew2271so ,if everyone knows cny origins from china, why need to change the name. everyone knows usd from USA, using it everywhere, how about change its name like currency?
Lol those symbols weren’t mahjong, they are stamps/seals that work as signature, traditional artists stamp them on their finished work, although it’s unclear why there’s a collection of them on the rocks. And the board game you saw people playing was not mahjong either, it’s Chinese chess, xiangqi. But good news! You can find many places in Sydney that serve Jianbing!! Good to see you enjoyed it, one of my fav.
Regarding the high speed railway part, probably try first class next time, which definitely brings better experience. Also, it would definitely be more expensive considering a travel of 1300km in just 5 hours.

Great stuff, you just repeated what I said in a nicer way, I do apologise if I was too blunt.
Good to see you enjoyed it, one of my fav.
great video for sharing❤
Thank you! 🤗
welcome to China. If has another chance, can come toTianjin. A very beautiful city.😃
Regarding the high speed railway part, probably try first class next time, which definitely brings better experience. Also, it would definitely be more expensive considering a travel of 1300km in just 5 hours.
Happy new year Josie, best wishes for you 🎊
