not worth chasing the next great thing - just wait until they become great and buy their card. you spend 1/100 of what you would spend chasing the 50 others that did not turn out
He was explaining the hype and price of the card has already priced in a first ballot hall of fame career, so there was no where for the card to go but way down
@@GSG9Kazmir did you listen to what he said? He was saying, “hey, let’s pretend something unimaginable happened and coby white had a kobe Bryant career, his cards at those levels still wouldn’t make sense. But I think to make yourself sound smart you are pretending as if the guy compared the two.
The market as a whole priced Coby White as if he was on track to become the next Kobe (or all-time great). In fact priced lots of young stars at unrealistic levels
Translation: Stay away from ultra modern. This has been going on since the late 80’s when people starting speculating on rookies. I’m not saying don’t collect what you like, I’m saying beware if you are playing the investment games with ultra modern.
It just depends what you buy. If you bought anyone at the peak, you’re losing. If you buy say ja morant and he ends up being a goat, you’ll make huge profits. If you buy mj 86 fleer now, 10 years from now, who knows? Maybe it will be up 50% from today, maybe it will be flat? A lot of the youth don’t really think about MJ. It just depends what you’re buying.
@@colbybrand5326 I agree that buying 80’s/90’s, even vintage isn’t a smart investment either. But they are just safer because they’re careers are over so the fluctuation won’t be as drastic. I’m a collector and of course I am not naive that the cards I buy have value. But I’ve never looked at any card I bought as an investment. I think the investors in this hobby are no different than going to the Casino. Yes, people win at the Casino, but the reason they stay in business is the house usually wins.

whom ever thought Coby was the next Kobe have some serious problems beyond Sports Card Investment.....
only cards ever worth getting are HOF rookie cards - the rest are always trash
Macs will become a star but yeah you shouldn’t be paying tons at release that’s hype
My worst was Kaepernick
No ppp no pump
What is this dude talking about? Colby White turning into Kobe Bryant??? What nonsense is this dude talking about.
He's saying in terms of the value at that time being comparable to Kobe's card. He's not speaking on the level of player.
@@joshvue2467 It makes zero sense to compare Colby White to Kobe. Why is a comparison even made amongst card values 🤦♂️. Make it make sense man.
COLBY WHITE has not been in the league long enough to be compared with Kobe Bryant 😂😂

Coby isn’t going to be a star on any team. He will be a better role player at some point
Nobody confused Coby white to Kobe Bryant
95 % of cards out there are not going back up unless there’s another round of PPP 💸 loans and stimulus checks
Nailed it. It's all about policy and rates.
Putting in work. This guy goes to every single channel and says the same thing, every single day. He’s working, lo😂
Great points!
100% true
Dude stfu Lmao with your lame ass predictions
This point lacks any logic and understanding of economics whatsoever
What took you so long?
Whoever thought Coby White was the Next Kobe Bryant must've been on some serious drugs u can't be serious 🤣 😂
