Even with the Tremor's stock lift, you still have a lot of clearance b/t the bed and the camper. I wondered what the squat would be around 2500-2800lbs. Now, I know. Thanks! Great video.

Tremor def reduces your payload capacity

I bought a 2024 F350 SRW 6.7HO Platinum Tremor and I am towing a Brinkley Z3610. I got a Tremor of all the reason you did and one more, Car Washes! We have right at 2500 miles of towing this set up right now. Loaded up we are just under 18k and the trucks payload of 3886 is almost maxed out with us and a full tank of gas, we have about 200 pounds remaining.
Monday morning at 8:00 my truck is going in for Air Bags. I have been seriously considering the Timbrens but the ability to adjust on the fly and to level up the truck and 5th wheel. The RV is getting Black Sumo springs next week. All ahead of a trip to 30A Florida, from Dallas, Texas.
How has your experience been with the Timbrens? It seemed like you still were down about 2” but I could have been seeing or hearing that wrong.
Your thoughts on any or all of it are appreciated, thank you for the video!

Loved the Timbrens. I did have a 2" gap but that was by design. I didn't want them to engage while towing lighter items. If you want them to be in contact sooner or you only tow one (heavy) item, you can get the F350 kit which comes with the spacers and it would eliminate most of the sag.

@@whateverfits1978 That makes since. I got the air bags installed today. You can feel them a little because you have to keep 5psi in them. They do kick at bigger dips in the road and to be honest I don’t like that at all. I am going to keep them on for a while and see how the trip to Florida goes in a couple weeks but there is a chance I remove them. I don’t like coming out of my seat at certain spots in the road or maybe there is some adjustment in the positioning.
On a side note I did notice at some point before while towing I kissed my bump stops. I could see where the dirt was cleaned off. My recommendation at this point to anyone looking at them is to get the smallest lightest version of them if air bags are a consideration.

@@Captain-Awesome your points above are the main reason I went with the Timbrens. I wanted to a normal ride unloaded and wanted some help when towing heavy loads. Always having the airbags engaged(even at some level) wasn't something I wanted.

As someone who’s had both the GenY and the Anderson goosenecks, which one do you think is the best? Or at least which one do you prefer. I was going to get the Anderson until I saw your GenY gooseneck video!

That's a great question. If all things were equal, which they aren't, I'd get the Gen Y. I feel like it's heavier built and you never have anything in the bed to remove other than the ball. That being said, install was a pain. Also, when I bought my Gen Y they were close in price to the Andersen, not today; for reference I paid 799 for my gen y with auto latch. You can find Andersen's all over Facebook marketplace fairly cheap, Gen Ys are not. If money doesn't matter, you're going to have someone else install, and you're going to keep your trailer a while I' do the Gen Y. If you need something you can switch out quickly and want to get in with a low price point, I'd go with Andersen. I've pulled my current trailer with the Andersen around 10k miles and never had an issue under a few hard braking situations. Good luck. I don't think you can go wrong with either.

@@whateverfits1978 thanks for the quick response. I’m purchasing a new fifth wheel so I think I’ll go with the Gen Y. I’m pretty handy with a wrench, plus I have 2 really strong boys. Well, actually they are young men not boys anymore. For some reason I keep forgetting that. Anyway they will help with the install so we will attempt it. Thanks again rot the advise

I put air bags on mine. No squat and rides better. I only need 35lbs to level it out. Cost $600 and took two hours to install.

Not knocking air bags, but these were around $200 and took about 10 minutes to install.
