A great video! Maybe my opinion is unpopular, but I think, they really didn't give enough potential to Nikolai in the show. He was so far behind on screen. His charisma didn't get a chance to shine, and I didn't see the chemistry with Alina at all, although I was cheering for them to end up together in the books.
Maybe it's a good thing that they don't have much chemistry in the show because they don't fit together (not clear from the show yet ig, but from the books it is), and he gets a love interest who fits to him much better (which probably isn't apparent from the show as of now but from the later books).
I can't wait for scenes between Nikolai and Zoya!

I don't hate Malina but it would've been better if Mal was her bestfriend and not love interest. I would've loved to see her become a queen.(Not that she isn't already one)

@@archiearchie9738The darkling and her didn't have chemistry, he was just faking it to manipulate her. It's said in the books I think that he mastered the art of seducing young girls to make them do what he wants. And yeah, part of what he wants is someone powerful, long-living to quench is loneliness, but that's not chemistry. If Alina had been born with her arms coming from her head and butt but with the same power, he'd have also seduced her.
