Cash poor, properties in debt/not paid off, etc. Pretty pathetic for a guy who inherited hundreds of millions and a business empire...and stole hundreds of millions more from governments (loans, subsidies, tax breaks), banks, businesses/investors, workers (not paying them), etc. all over the world by not paying them back. People to be paid back in order of importance: (1) Any & all people of color, of minority religion, of minority sexual orientation, or children, and their families who were murdered, incarcerated, harmed (including financially), or harassed by white supremacists or gun-wielding nuts. (2) Any and all girls or women who were abused, sexually assaulted, harassed, threatened, or menaced (excluding his wives) by Trump or his minions. If this group happens to include young boys, then they too join in group #2. (3) All individual contractors who worked on his personal properties and were cheated out of payment (plus any legal fees they incurred in an attempt to get fair treatment). (4) Any employees who were/are unfairly treated, underpaid, fired w/o reason , including any personal servants who were poorly treated, underpaid, overworked, or dismissed w/o just cause. (5) Any and all U.S. citizens or legal residents who were summarily deported for small infractions (or no infraction) of the law.(6) All of the refugee children and their families who were abused, assaulted & mistreated by anyone representing the U.S. Government under Trump’s reign of terror. This includes the “Dreamers”. It also includes innocent people whom WE CAUSED to be displaced or endangered in their own countries who were then REFUSED ENTRY into the “safe haven” of the U.S. (7) Any honest whistleblower or truth-teller who is or was being sued, hounded, terrorized, and/or libeled (8) Any individual, couple, or family who experienced housing or job discrimination at his hand, or at his direction. (9) All citizens and residents in places like Flint, MI, Miami, FL, West Virginia, California, North Dakota, who have experienced disasters, loss of life, property damage, etc. due to the Trumps Administration’s contempt for environmental regulation, proper land usage & reclamation, recycling, alternative energy source development, management & repair of our waterways, highways, & bridges, & of course climate change. (10) Anyone hurt by aggressive or abusive MAGA hat morons.
Anyone who was foolish enough to go into business partnership with him, or bat-shit crazy enough to loan him money, can take a flying f*ck.

There are broadly two different legal views. One holds that a sitting President can be indicted on a criminal matter and the other is that he/she is immune but that the remedy is impeachment and removal from office and then prosecution as an ordinary citizen. Its a question that has never been tested in the courts simply because there never has been the perfect storm of a criminal in office and slavishly supported by his party in Congress and "his Attorney General" and DOJ.

So, as of right now, it doesn't look like Biden actually did anything illegal, and there was a prior investigation that said as much.
Now all that having been said, Biden already essentially admitted he wouldn't change anything to a group of wealthy donors.

You won’t call police or fire if your house is robbed or burning, right? We have your word on that? Cuz you’re not into shared responsibility of any kind, is that right?
You’re your own little entity, your own little kingdom - let’s call it Frankerstan in a nod to all those little countries that sprang up after the dissolution of your beloved USSR - and you have appointed yourself President for life of Frankerstan. And in Frankerstan, there are no roads, no schools, no internet or phones, no public services or any kind. Because that would be socialism, and you hate socialism so much.

      frank frankerson
There are many, many definitions of socialism. You want to go to one extreme example, citing 70% tax, go ahead. We’re not anywhere near that.
We also don’t have access to decent health care for our citizens - making personal health care costs one of the main drivers of bankruptcy - or college educations for whoever wants one - even Slovenia manages that. Our infrastructure is crumbling while the military gets fatter and fatter. Translation: dead wrong priorities if we truly want to make America great again instead of what it is now, making the filthy rich richer while everybody else loses ground. But then everybody doesn’t write the laws. That would be those who are elected but paid to do the bidding of corporations, and of course the corps make things highly favorable to themselves.
Capitalism is not anywhere near dead. The capitalists can and do take care of themselves. So this extreme view of socialism as a bridge to Marxist communism is ridiculous fearmongering. And that is where you come in.

@@terredee hmmm....hmmmm. I like the way you think. Bc....you actually bother to think.
I'm not a huge "oligarchy, monopoly type Capitalist myself. But I know we all can agree that true socialism, or even over socializing doesnt work. It just doesnt. Sounds good on paper, but in reality only 9 cents on the dollar comes out the other side, due to beurocracy and office. You can socialize with your neighbor and buy toilet paper in bulk, consolidate your bills etc....and save money, but the the second you introduce the middleman "government", you lose what money you would of had saved. This is a fact. Also, their are those who simply dont want to contribute.....but want a bunch of free stuff they call "rights".
Of capitalism can abused to the point of sheer oppression. We're border line there now.
So.....wheres the happy medium? One of my first proposals would a "universal income cap", for everybody. Once you make x amount of money, your done for the year. Of course, this could lead to communism. Marx never would've written the manifesto had he thought that he would be a part of the working class and not the superintending state.

As far as I'm concerned, when he refused to put his businesses in a blind trust they should have told him that unless he does he would not be able to take the oath of office and he would have to forfeit the presidency. Pence would then be sworn in as President.

We should've cut him a check to go away within the 1st month of office...it would've been far less damaging, cheaper, & less bizarre than all this is playing out. His term is draining the life out of us as a Nation, confounding our allies, & giving solid footing to our adversaries. EVERY DAY it's something with this joker.

I love Robert Reich's videos. This is the kind of raw sense and sensibility that should resonate with people. Real information, and calling out the subversive, self-serving bs going on at the highest levels of our government, who continue to dupe simple minded flag wavers into supporting them. Only educating people will stop the insanity of these people continuing to throw treats at the same pack of dogs they are being devoured by.

Hilarious the way Small Potatoes like us folks, plugging away just doing our thing and then one day get the letter in the mail says we owe some back taxes or some such small thing, but it's not small to us. It requires time and paperwork and penalties and interest, doesn't really amount to a lot, it's not a deal-breaker, but it's humiliating to think that this guy who barely squeaked into the White House has been cheating on taxes and on paying his laborers, just across the board a complete huckster and he's getting away with it. Has been for decades. And we still pay our taxes as best we can, sometimes we make mistakes and we get caught, but it's mostly from being overwhelmed by everything we have to deal with. It's not the gross malfeasance that we witness every day from somebody who's supposed to be representing us. I'm telling you I feel like there's going to be dancing in the street like has never been seen when the guy is gone...

Our votes obviously do not count when it comes to POTUS. Not just in 2016, but any time. The electoral college was put into place by the founding fathers who didn't believe the average citizen was educated enough to make intelligent choices regarding matters of governance. They wanted to avoid what they referred to as "mob rule". Hence the Electoral College was born.
While it may have been true at that time that many people were not well educated, that is no longer the case. The people of today are more educated than ever before in history. The Electoral College needs to go. That the Russian mob is now in control of the U.S.A. is proof the average American is more qualified to govern than the current individual in residence at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave.

I wonder if Congress should amend the Constitution stating that if a president who receives emoluments whatsoever shall be subject to fines equal to 3x the amount or value of emoluments not congressionally authorized? The amendment should also state that you can not discharge these fines through bankruptcy and they can not be claimed on taxes and will be paid in full upon discovery of said violation. They should also be able to put liens and garnishments on those properties and accounts immediately until they are paid back. Or something like that as a deterrent. And prohibitions on any taxpayer $ going to business owned by the president while serving. pres should get a set amount of vacation time, any above and beyond that they get a bill for services and items rendered. No passing that debt onto all of us.

You just have to admire this fellow for his ability to explain those issues regarding conflict which the current individual playing President has concerning his apparent inability to uphold the American constitution and use the influence associated with the position of President for the United States of America such that a twelve year old in Grade 5 is able to understand.
.....mind you it would appear that a twelve year old in Grade 5 has greater knowledge regarding the American Constitution then a large proportion of the adults.
......is this the reason why "Are you smarter then a 5th Grader" was such a popular show? I know the few episodes I watched suprised me as to how most of the adults in respectable professions were anything but smarter then a 5th Grader.

What's particularly troubling is Trump's excuses based on, "you know who," Obama having a book & Netflix deal. Yes, Obama is making money off of his time of having been the president, but at least he waited until after he was out of office. At least Obama ws aware of the Constitution's requirements, and he didn't call them "phony" either.
