Hi! I was curious if the hot glue handled the weight of the mosaic? I plan on making one but as an actual serving food tray. I feel I would need to nail the base to the frame. Let me know. thank you.
Hi Christine, I also used wood glue on my tray and reinforced it with hot glue. It has held up well so far. I have only used it as a decorative tray, not as a serving tray. Use some strong glue, like E6000 or similar and it should be fine. If you are able to nail it on to the frame as well it will be even sturdier. Just leave some space free from mosaic for the nails. Happy creating ❤️!
