There is just somthing about these type of live builds that you don't get from "how I built this" type content. Like the moments when Timothy works on a section and is like “nah I hate it” and then we get to experience him thinking through and fixing it. It's real, raw and reassuring. The site came out top notch and Timothy is just next level on both technical and design aspect. Thanks for build!
I really appreciate you breaking down how to start using the Lumos Framework, I'd love to see more of these, to get into the idea of adopting your methods :)
Just dived into Webflow and the Masterclass. Reading the CF method. And now on to the Lumos, adviced by someone else. Fun and nice to learn to builde this way 'with' you Timothy.
Thanks Tim, love this. When I run Token Studio with your Figma template it doesn't have anything stored, do we have to start from scratch or am I missing something?
Thanks so much! After this video, Figma released typography variables natively. So all the typography styles are now saved in the right panel under styles and in the variable panel.
Hey Timothy, can you please make the Webflow live stream in which you made this website, public. I would love to watch that and learn what the steps were.
Thanks @timothyricks. Anyone commenting that when duplicating the Lumos Figma File in Figma, there is an error message "you don't have access to this file"?
if the main breakpoint you're designing for is 1440px, how do you account for responsiveness until you hit the tablet breakpoint? Is that something you jsut deal with once you're inside webflow?
Just to get more unique layouts. Since a 10 column grid can’t fit a typical 3 or 4 column layout inside, it forces me to get more creative with the layouts. In this case, all of the layouts went to full width on mobile. But we could keep the 10 column grid on mobile and just make our elements span over more columns.
I've made these two so far, but Figma pushed a lot of updates since then and I've created cleaner systems so a more recent version would probably be smart. th-cam.com/video/h_3s1_EzgpI/w-d-xo.html th-cam.com/video/py-g7Z6yI2M/w-d-xo.html

Thanks so much for the kind words and for watching! I'm really glad this helps. Honestly, I didn't think anyone would watch a stream this long.
The good stuff are the long stuff
I am from France and I consider you to be the GOAT of Webflow
Thank you so much!

This was AWESOME! Would love to see you build it out and please keep the Figma tutorials coming!
Thank you, Jonah! I'm considering doing a full build of this one.
@@timothyricks Please do it!
man I just searched for this I can't believe nobody ever went over the basics of a welding site thank you my friend
I appreciate these videos keep up the good work. I have not seen a single video of yours that didn't help in some way.
Thanks so much! I’m really glad to hear that

Thanks so much, Robin! Glad you’re here!
I'm having a great time watching your design process Timothy, thank you for sharing.
Oh, awesome! Thanks so much!
So good to learn design from you! Thank you for sharing your skills !
Tim, this is so cool to watch. Good if all designers starts like that and not from opposite... I telling you like a Designer and Developer.
Haha, thank you! Yes, many times it falls on us as the developers to clean up the designs as we build them.
THIS HELPS SO MUCH THANKS TIMOTHY
Omg design tutorial are 🔥🔥🔥🔥
This is friggen beautiful!!
Hope you make more Figma tutorials ❤️🔥
Thank you for the feedback! Really glad this helps

@@timothyricks Legend, thanks so much - that makes a lot of sense now 😅

Sure thing! I had to redo it because my laptop crashed mid-stream, but here's the updated, fixed tutorial. th-cam.com/video/nj-1qB47aKo/w-d-xo.html
@@timothyricks thanks 🤝🏽

Following along @timothyricks the Lumos Figma File - local variables, Sizes, yours shows "section" mine has "padding" ? Is that correct?
Yes, that’s right! The name changed recently to match an update to the Webflow file

Usually nothing extra really needs to be done if the site is built on a grid system. Text and content just wraps going down into tablet.
Why did you use 10 columns instead of 12? Won't it be harder to make the mobile version?

Please make a video on Tokens and the plugin you are using , this will help us

@@timothyricks Yeah a new video would be nice to have where you can guide us about that plugin and how to use and make tokens for any project. Thanks
I have a question about line-height. In this design, big text have no top line-height. It's crop some text from top. why this is happening?
I think it's just how the font was designed sadly. I don't know why some fonts are designed this way.
1:24:50 haha this part is very relatable
