I'd also like to see Sheppard and even Mathurin, but Mathurin is a better creator already. But you can be extremely effective by studying certain guy's too. Whether it be defensively and signature moves to pull up that 3 in ways that fit your frame/style already. Like Josh Hart and J.R. Smith. A lot of scrap, hustle, knowing where to be and when. J.R. that clean set up cross dribble to his slick perfect quick release 3. Dude hit em better with guy's in his face..so many guy's, Shai, Jalen Brown, DeRozan, Klay, Crowder, Burks, Jordan lol, Payton point but the glove had D..but back to J.R. loved his physicality and attitude driving to the rim. His calculated, yet quick set up, like a snake ready to strike.. size with his explosiveness, he knew how size up, control tempo at time's, shake guy's and had a quick first step, fakes. So many rookies, not taking their time and always should expect a defender. They close in a lot quicker and often in the NBA. Furphy needs to fake.. lol watch all the best guards, sfs and some Lauri Markkenan, Cavs version of Kevin Love, Danilo Gallinari is a perfect comp for Furphy. Guy to steady, had a very high I.Q, bit heavier. But not as athletic, yet could play solid D nonetheless and always had a decent enough handel to get at the rim. Most of all, moves to get off his shot.. patience and awareness, knowing where to be and when.. 😮letting the game come to them, or trying to hard. Guy coming at you, fake, take a dribble. Swish. What I've come to love about Obi and he's extremely efficient. He even slightly keeps improving his Defensive. Being his size, he did very well staying ready on his toes. Made the read quicker and really had some great stops. Even when he simply forces some guy's to miss. Because they're like oh dang, that's Obi. They know he can get lateral quick. So even pressing up arms out, up in a stance gets guy's. Noticed how he guarded a few good players. Jimmy and when he's rotated over and stopped OG at the rim a few time's. Can't wait for his growth.. I'd like to see Nembhard actually play more true backup point honestly too. I get the recency bias of okay he can pass and play off the ball a bit.. but is that better than Ben and what he's already improved/improving on. With passing/vision. With his scoring/driving attacking mostly. Along with his improved 3pt %. I think at SG he could favor better there. With Nesmith at SF. Because it gives Ben the height/size on a lot of SG's nowadays. While looks like more of a SG body at his 6'6. These player's need to find who they are and always. Take things from other player's Trying to always improve your craft to continue becoming great and making it look easy. Even how Kyrie slightly turns his wrist, arm motions when laying up the basketball. Best shooter's release forms closest to yours. Then try to mimic that, train it more to perfect the best ever. Can't go wrong, we have some great young player's. Everyone has a role, find your niche. If it's someone like Freeman. Continue to work on your 3, speed release, handle, stay athletic and buit. Whatever he's doing there is working. Kid is a powerhouse. Freeman could learn alot being 6'7 from studying guy's movements, timing. Their hands, feet placement. Notice how Kwaih always gets the defenders feet where he wants them. Even not being fast, can still fake so well, they move slightly he's gone to the rim. Then his defense itself. Scotty Pippen, he gets that 3, release working even a lot of the time. Work hard on D, don't foul, get back, stay on your man in transition. Shutdown, boxout. Down to the other end to score when on the run. If not look for the kick ahead to Obi, Mathurin Hali or Turner.. whoever lol. Some old Pacers Bogdonovic is 6'7, dude played phenomenal for us in the playoffs when we had Dipo. Bojan Bogdonovic gave Bron fits on D. So much Bron had to LeFlop. Bogy always knows where to be and when in his spots. He hits them, very consistent and well rounded player. Could do it all and less athletic. Had a good handle some post skill and knew how to get to the basket in his earlier days for sure. I like to think player's study other guy's to wanna take things from them to become the best. I only hope our Pacers young men will do the same. Walker needs to watch Kwaih Leonard too. Because he shows you don't have to have a quick explosive first step to get by a guy either. Moves, hesis.. cross. Jordan/Kobe post fade. Pull up mids, Walker already getting that 3 ball falling. Study some Julius Randle too. Sounds strange, but he's built big like Jarace and I think having a bit more use of how Julius came in with post fundamentals would help add another layer of star power to his game. Being able to post smaller guy's, pass out of the post. That's where his Magic Johnson study comes in, kid can pass. Scottie Barnes, same size, tenacity, motor and intensity. Solid Defender and different athlete as well. Pippen, Paul George, Aaron Gordon, Jerami Grant, (Keegan Murray, Jalen Johnson * wish we had both) I like Tari Eason and Trey Murphy III too. Herb Jones. All those dude's playing well right now. Dennis Rodman/Kenyon Martin, but with a better handle shot and passing.. that would be nice. Walker being a point forward needs to study watching the court. Watch how Hali sees thing's, LaMelo and always be ready to throw the perfect lob. Keep your head up and eyes down floor. Practice throwing balls and dribble all day. Moves, euro, drop step and attack the rim like you're Shawn Kemp with that size boy. Rip it off. Lol ok I'm done.
First and foremost I want to see Haliburton/Mathurin/Nesmith/Toppin/Turner. Pascal will play a lot of C, Walker at PF next to Pascal. Walker at the 3. I also wanna see Wiseman in the starting 5 and bench 5. See what he can really do.

I'd like to see this lineup
Reframing the who should Wiseman play with question - what if any second unit would be better with Wiseman than iJax?
Maybe so, I think Jackson should be the backup 5. Just wanted to talk Wiseman and 5-man groups.
The Toronto lineup. No guard. No centers
Walker
Furphy
Brown
Pascal
Toppin
