This is probably a ridiculously dumb question, but why aren’t they dropped in the water whole like when skinning tomatoes, and then cut open? OMGosh, my mouth is watering. It has been many years since I’ve had pickled peaches..when my grandmother was alive. I’m on the sunny side of 80..been awhile. Can what’s left of the syrup be used for anything else? And thank you
I use the leftover syrup on pork dishes. Not sure on your first question. This is how Aunt Dee Dee taught me. I would add that I used very firm peaches.
Hi there fellow treasure hunter... Love your vlogs extremely well put together.. Showing my fellow hunters some much deserved love all the way from South Africa 🇿🇦 keep them comming.
I use to do a lot of canning with my dad growing up..it is a lot of work and prep involved..but once you get going it is as easy as making a pie..I was afraid to watch this video as your food videos make me really hungry..lol...I splashed fudge syrup on me and burned me for a few days third degree burn..it was bad...Great canning video
Hi Deej, those peaches look like the best tasting peaches I've seen in years, all the one's sold here look amazing but have no flavour, that's the problem with commercially grown produce, great recipe thank you for sharing ATB Jim
Great teaching Deej. I really enjoyed watching the process and wow what a great thing to have in your pantry. Nothing beats home canned peaches ! Thanks for sharing :)
Dee, Dee, You shouldn't have! Can you throw in 4 or 5 pies and a couple cobblers when you send me 10 or 12 cases of the pickled peaches? Those look Awesome 👍😍
When I was little my great grandma made these. She called them spiced peaches. I came to visit one day and asked if I could have some of here spiked peaches. I never lived that one down. LOL
Thanks for sharing this recipe! The peeling process you showed for the peaches is identical to the method used for tomatoes. Ha! That’s cool! They sure looked slippery fitting those in the jars! I wonder if it would be the same recipe for pears? I will have to try to make these one day. They sure look good! 😋 Good job! I noticed your little lidded jars behind the Kosher Salt - I bought the same ones! They are attractive and useful. 😊 I used them for bases for the tops of my solar garden lights and placed them on the tables in the backyard. They look great at night!
Hello Deej, I've been worried about uncle Al , I've sent him an email and I haven't heard from him, Just wondering Wether you know anything about his situation on how he is doing,???? I'm just concerned about him. I'd appreciate any news if you have heard from him... thanks Deej
I've loved spiced peaches since I was a wee girl. Can't wait to try them! Just a comment, though...about the music. No!!! It's HORRIBLE!!! I realize it's meant to cover up the background noise, but I almost clicked off the video because all I could hear was the crappy HORRIBLE music and not your commentary.

Those are beautiful, Deej! My grandmother pickled peaches every year, and I used to help her. The kitchen always smelled wonderful!😊💖
Oh yeah Cynthia. Jackson tasted his 1st pickled peach. The wince turned into a smile and he liked them.

Cool idea Chrissy! Thank you for watching you two!
Diggin With Deej ~ Thanks, and you’re welcome! You always make things seem fun! 😁👍🏻
Can you leave the skinny?
I don't think you can leave the skin on, no. Peach skin has fuzz on it. Doesn't sound appetizing.
How do you use it?
As a dessert

I'm hoping our Uncle Al comes back to us all soon.
Honestly, I'm not a peace fan, but I stabbed the like and I'm letting this run. 😀💜
