I bought this case for my s21 ultra back when you did the video on it. Been rocking it ever since and I'm a heavy duty technician.. it's been through big drops and never let me down! Highly recommended it
@Josh_Quinonez thanks. I got a white phone but getting a black and grey case... don't want want the white to show thru around the camera holes in the back
i have this case on my s22 ultra and now i bought it 2 times for my s23 ultra together with carbon fiber skin and teardown matte skin.. i really like the feel of it.. and its a bit slimmer than my uag monarch.. for protection i wont say i trust it though.. if it falls in total flat surface yes nothing will happen.. but if it falls outside on the road where its not always flat there are small rocks etc.. then i believe screen will break.. i also use dom glass protection tempered glass too
This would be the case I buy for my S23 Ultra except it's hard to get the S Pen out with short nails. Had that problem too with their S22 Ultra case, which was the only real flaw on my favorite case. Also, I would like MagSafe, which is what I get on the Torras one I'm using.
So I just ordered this case and picked a design for the case to put on today. Just a quick question......the diagonal stripes (not sure what to call them really), the ones that go about half way up the sides, are those the grip part? I'm super super leary of cases not being grippy, as I've had 2 of them now that are good coverage on the phone but man they are slick as glass!
Very nice. I've search like 12 pages on amazon, couldn't find a case that had rounded corners and wasn't slippery as hell like glass. I ordered 2 phone cases, 1 had sharp corners, other was slippery and hard to hold onto in a regular way, had to really really grip it to keep it from sliding. I find the square form factor of the s23 ultra a bit uncomfortable to hold after hours of gaming or tic-tok watching. That's why I searched for a case that has rounded corners and sides, so it better fits in the hand, it's more natural feeling and less uncomfortable. I found one but the back is fingerprinty as all getout. So of the 3 cases I ordered one was very good but a fingerprint magnet for the back, and I mean worse than front glass screens of phones. One was slippery like glass, and one was rigid and sharp on the corners making it hard to hold. All this being said I have high hopes for the dbrand case. On a plus side I can customize the look many many times, plus I have a friend that does the vinyl stuff and can get many designs, stuff like dc comics figures, customized band logos, etc.....he can cut them out and sell them. Between him and dbrand I should be set for customizing my phone case for years to come. @@Josh_Quinonez
Not a big fan of the s23 ultra version grip case. Holes are way to big easily collect lint/dust around the lenses and not that aligned pushing the sides of cameras when snapping the phone in the case
Good test. But i think it will be more REAL WORLD doing it on a sidewalk while walking or on pavement. Garages are to smooth. Need something that will possibly do more damage.
I bought the Grip Case Obsidian skin back in mid February for my S23 Ultra . BUT NOW after seeing the Warzone skin in your video, I had to have it. So I just bought the Warzone and Acid case skins 🤣😂. I live in OZ (Australia) so may take a few week to get here but I can't wait to see them. Nice video and review of the case too.
I wonder if the case is waterproof. I received the Dbrand case for my S23 Ultra yesterday and got it wet yesterday afternoon. The inside of the case is made out of leather and it hasnt still quite dried up yet 🤔
I have it for the note 20 ultra and I'm probably one in a million, but it dropped while getting out of a semi truck and the screen cracked in the corner and it raised the corners of my screen protectors.
No. I've had several phones and several different cases that are supposed to be the best for drop protection and they've all cracked in the lower corner. It's definitely how it hits the ground.
This case from dbrand is not the greatest only because it leaves the sides of the screen where it curves very vulnerable. The best case so far that I found to protect all around the front of the screen is the poetic neon case it has raised lips are completely around
When I am doing a video call and minimize the window to picture-in-picture on my Galaxy S23 Ultra, the home screen and apps are lagging, as if it's running at 60Hz display refresh rate, even though it's set to 120Hz. Has anyone else experienced this issue, and if so, could you please provide a solution?

On the car drop test I think they want you to run it over

Yes this case definitely gets the job done💪
I really appreciate these drop tests. They seem so natural to the kind of dropping that acutally occurs.
My DBrand s23 ultra case just shipped love those cases
Nice cases 👌
You jumped straight into the video and got me hooked great job man.
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it!
@@Josh_Quinonez No problem, I'm still watching the video all the way through cuz I have my grip case arriving in sometime, excited for it.
@@Maxgamer2637 awesome! You're gonna love it👍
@@Josh_Quinonez Epic.
Bro the anxiety that spikes up every time you drop the phone is out of this world 😂
On smooth concrete? 😂 no shit lol 🤷
So is the material going around the sides, is this a rubber like material, or is this nothing but hard plastic (TPU) with a texture in it?
How bulky is the case? Does it still
Give you that slim feel and look of the phone?
Does the back side color of the phone show through the camera areas of the phone using the case?
No👍
@Josh_Quinonez thanks. I got a white phone but getting a black and grey case... don't want want the white to show thru around the camera holes in the back
Dude, I have this case and skin for my Pixel 7 and it's probably my favourite case but I think you need to give up coffee as you hyped af🤣
🤣🤣🤣

Are the sides rubbery (like the Otterbox) or just hard plastic (TPU) with a texture on it?

It's a great case. I have short nails and can get the S-Pen out just fine👍
@@Josh_Quinonez Yeah, but I trim mine really short. Like all the "free margin" gone short.
@@WaffleusRex What Torras case do you have that has magsafe? I been looking for one but can't seem to choose which magsafe case to buy.

It's added texture. The whole sides, top and bottom is grip👍

Wow dude. Don't you get a little bit nervous doing these drop tests ? 😁
Nice video. Cheers.
Always! Haha
Does the case fit with camera lens protection?
That's what I want to know!
Not a big fan of the s23 ultra version grip case. Holes are way to big easily collect lint/dust around the lenses and not that aligned pushing the sides of cameras when snapping the phone in the case
Agree. The stickers (and fixing ease) are crap. Their 'robotic' support language/bot is ludicrous.
Good test. But i think it will be more REAL WORLD doing it on a sidewalk while walking or on pavement. Garages are to smooth. Need something that will possibly do more damage.

I ordered my DBrand case with the same skin as the one on your case
Nice!!
Does the case grip + that skin lose any type of signal ?
No signal lost👍
I'd like to see you do a review on the S23 Ultra Samsung rugged case.
Dope drop test and great case bro! Well done!
Thanks bro!
Manz be giving me a heart attack dropping that expensive phone on concrete and saying that SMACK on that floor. Jesus haha
What's the weight of the case please?
I wonder if the case is waterproof. I received the Dbrand case for my S23 Ultra yesterday and got it wet yesterday afternoon. The inside of the case is made out of leather and it hasnt still quite dried up yet 🤔
No such thing as a waterproof case unless they cover the ports but that's besides the point
From how many times you dropped it I'd be worried about the inside of the phone too
The inside was fine and the phone still performed like a beast throughout my whole time of having it 👍
Watching this on my s23 in the dbrand grip case 😂
Nice!!
How about the OIS of the camera?
I have it for the note 20 ultra and I'm probably one in a million, but it dropped while getting out of a semi truck and the screen cracked in the corner and it raised the corners of my screen protectors.
No. I've had several phones and several different cases that are supposed to be the best for drop protection and they've all cracked in the lower corner. It's definitely how it hits the ground.
How does this fare against mous?
What if you fumble it and catch it up against something? That's how I cracked my last screen
This case from dbrand is not the greatest only because it leaves the sides of the screen where it curves very vulnerable. The best case so far that I found to protect all around the front of the screen is the poetic neon case it has raised lips are completely around
Poetic neon looks a lot like otterbox commuter. I have commuter and can confirm that the edges are raised as well
Its like that to help with the sidebar etc.. But yeah i agree.
Well, I guess most of the S Tier cases are like that. Even my MOUS case is exposed on the sides.
What about cam functioning after drop...???!!!
Camera worked perfectly fine👍
@@Josh_Quinonez my s23 ultra got only one drop...I worried about cam 10 x operation, but it worked nice. No scratches too on phone screen and body
Just ordered mine because of this video. Thanks
Awesome! Glad I could help!

🤣🤣
best drop test on youtube thanks josh

Where did you find that wallpaper from?
Right here👍

the screen is being easily cracked

Hey josh, have a question. any place i can email or message you at?
Does the case fit with camera lens protection?
Nope, I just got my case and had to remove the lens covers
