I dont agree with the fact that you have to unlock the fight with the fleshmancer. I did everything except collect all the conches, but theres nothing special about the boss, so why do you have to unlock him?

I agree i can no longer do turn based games anymore...The graphics were amazing though. Im hoping this company goes back to making side scrollers again like the messanger..

Adding the shmup fight mechanics to the final boss is my only gripe with this game. It was a cool little ending touch against the world eater before the credits but adding to the final boss sucked. Switching my brain from turn based strategizing to “oh fuck now it’s a shooter” was challenging. This boss took me a solid hour to beat

I found this too easy to be honest. Once you save your Combo points to heal the party it becomes a walk in the park. Incredibly fun game though, and I'd highly recommend it to anyone.

This fight was the worst thing I’ve experienced in any game. What a stupid concept to have a schmup. If you don’t beat it, you repeat the damn thing to infinity.

As a person who beat it without fail, you're completely right.
It is unfair to expect the player to master an system completely outside everything in the core game and make it mandatory. It is equally unfair for these people to be saying skill issue rather then acknowledge the flaw of design.

You know what I just realized? Garl is basically Goku.
Obviously they don't have the same skills or power level, but they have a similar demeanor and the same effect on the people around them. They prop their friends up, bring out the best in their enemies and turn them into friends, and take zero shit from evil overlords. They even have similar hair styles!
