Floor's parents were in the audience for this concert. Can you imagine how proud they must have felt? Floor said in an interview briefly before the concert that she would have to avoid looking at where here parents were sitting or she'd break down in tears on stage.

And the intro and outro theme to it was Bach's symphony in D Minor Toccata And Fugue. ....for those who grew with it that piece on a subconscious lvl became the soundtrack to evolution and as it is a very characteristic piece by Bach for it's musical era i guess why Tuomas chose it.

@@galadballcrusher8182 Your reasoning as to why the younger kids only recognize Enter Sandman is the very reason why Tuomas inserted those pieces of songs into the song to begin with. If he basically wrote about the history and evolution of this universe, he wisely decided to include the evolution of music as well, from the first recording made (the Gregorian chants of Dies Irae), through Socatta in D, Tocatta and Fugue in D Minor, through to dueling banjos, to Enter Sandman, to EDM dance beats. That's 400 years of music that people probably didn't know, that they start to realize every time a new person sees this performance.
NightWish Army Wisconsin Chapter here. Glad you loved this AMAZING song! Only Tuomas can write such a masterpiece about the creation of the universe and 4.5 billion years of Evolution, from animals to people to music. This version is my Favorite because in the audience is Floor’s Mother and Father, to cheer her on. They are SO PROUD of Floor! ❤❤❤
They had a tv program on Dutch televisions do a special on her with the interview there with her parents. It was a great watch and I just loved how Dutch in character and attitude Floor still was (and is).
A song about everything. Past, present, future, astronomy, cosmology, physics, birth of life, evolution, human psychology, chaos theory, the short evolution of human civilization. Preserving nature, philosophy. All that with lots of emotions and heart.
Every Nightwish fan has that one song that just rips them in the feels... this one is that for me. Those Dawkins and Charles Darwin quotes really slap you into sharp perspective...and provoke you into remembering just how lucky we are, despite life's hardships, that we are here! And we are here together ❤️
Absolutely! As for me, I didn't know abut Richard Dawkins' book, so wheh I saw the song, named 'The Greatest show on Earth', i thoughg: 'Well... Thuomas is a great composer, but such name is so self-confident.' And damn, that was jaw-breaking! To realise, the song is not the greatrst show itself, but it is about the Greatrst show on Eart - the whole life on it. I yelled 'We were here' together the band, and the final words 'We are priveleged few...' left me with open mouth for a time.
There is a reason this song is called "the greatest show on earth". I still want to hear the first written version of this. Tuomas once said, that it was about 90 min long and the process of cutting it down to what it is now was very difficult for him. I don't know why, but at the end of this song, when they come back on stage and greet their fans I almost every time have tears in my eyes. This band is something special. Don't be sorry about your emotions ever dude!
You my friend are a part of The Greatest Show on Earth. Man, he took his time in the sun Had a dream to understand A single grain of sand He gave birth to poetry But one day’ll cease to be Greet the last light of the library We were here!
We see you Cosmic. I told you that it would change the way that you view everything, Tuomas is a great teacher. Just to add some perspective, there are over 70 trillion possible combinations of human DNA, and you are more likely to win the lottery jackpot 240,000 times in a row than you are to be born. We are all very special indeed.
I don't think that any other band who would have the slightest chance of pulling this off - but Nightwish smash it out of the ballpark. Your thoughts after this masterpiece are something that I think Tuomas would feel very happy to feel he had made you share these feelings - fantastic stuff dude, I wish there were more people in this world who have your depth 🤘
This is why I love Nightwish. They make music that has an impact. Every song has a purpose, be it storytelling, entertainment, expression of deepest fears and pain or recollection of existence. I can't remember them ever making an 'empty' song catering what sells to the masses. And the way they can bring out the best from each of their members is just incredible. And the Nightwish Army is a force in it self.
Yes, thats Enter Sandman :) While Dead Boy's Poem will always be my first love, this song is truly a thought provoking masterpiece. This version also holds a very special place in my heart because I Was There and Tampere is where I live, you can actually see my house at the time in the aerial shots. Those fireworks were loud enough that my wife told me afterwards that the windows were shaking.
I feel you. The first time I listened to this song was at a time of struggle, stuck in an office job in a foreign country, slowly isolating myself and getting depressed just because I did not know where I was and where I go. I felt I lived a life not suited to me. So I sold my flat, bought a boat, quit my job and started all over again. And exactly at this time I discovered that song. It gave me so much power, so much joy, so many tears realizing that I am literally part of nthe greatest show on earth, even in my ordinariness. When I look at the sunset now, when I see a beautiful plant, I see much more. There truly is so much beauty in this randomness. I am NOT AFRAID to live! I am NOT AFRAID to change, to do something new, to walk a different path, even to start building a new path in life few have wandered before. After all, it's my show, it's our show, It's the greatest show on earth!
No shame in the tears, dude! All of us in the Nightwish Army are right there with you…I found Nightwish 5 years ago at a very dark time for me and this music, the lyrics and the loving fans saved me! Love watching your reactions!
The title of the issue is taken from a 2009 book by evolutionary biologist and atheist writer Richard Dawkins, about the evidence for biological evolution. Dawkins also contributes to the album. Holopainen explained to HMV in March 2015: "I wrote him a letter a little over a year ago and explained what ideas we had for this album, mainly about evolution. Since one of the songs goes straight to one of his books, it felt like a perfect match to try and recite him on the album. A few weeks later, he sent me an email accepting the invitation." "Later in 2014, we recorded his parts at Hats Off Studios, Oxford. This is a huge honour for us, as Dawkins is one of our greatest heroes and his writings have been a huge inspiration for the album."
Sweet friend, what a gift to watch this song with you this morning. And what a gift you are to this world. It took me almost 60 years to understand I do matter and my life wasn't wasted. So you are way ahead of me. I do believe kindness can change the world. It is a force that can't be contained, it crosses borders, religions and believes. It gives people hope. Your channel is spreading that message every day. Through you. Almost 6K people come and listen to you. You give them hope, kindness and love. If you where here right now I would give you the biggest hug. Have a great day and thank you.
Floors parents being at this show….How proud they must be to see the positive and joyous effect their daughter and this band has on thousands of people must be almost overwhelming for them. Sensory overload… Nightwish style. The band that can call it “The Greatest Show on Earth” and deliver on all points…incredible
As you know, there are 2 live videos of this song. Most people say this is the better version of the 2, but you should check out the Wembley version as well. For Troy, being from the UK, it was a homecoming, and I think the band let him off the leash. He was more involved during the intro. Wembley also had a surprise ending that really should be checked out. Great reaction. WE WERE HERE!
I disagree Troy being more involved to be honest, but that's fine. Despite dr. Dawkins being at Wembley with the band, this version get's to me more. The intro is also way longer and I love the intro. And the flute! It's not in the Wembley version. Funny how people feel certain things at specific concerts. 🤗
This is a compositional masterpiece. There is no band today that effects people in the way that Nightwish does. Tuomas is the maestro without equal. Thank you for you emotional reaction ❤
I have a similar back story Mr Wolff. At heart I'm a die hard, near elitist, punk\industrial\power electronics guy. Nightwish worked their magic on me some years back and have been instrumental in opening my eyes to other music. Love watching you experience this amazing band, your reactions mirror mine from my first time. Keep em coming, mate. Subbed.
i cry everytime it comes to the "We Were Here!" it draws you into the human collective immediately and makes me feel like part of something bigger than myself. And, i get that feeling every single time i listen to this or watch it. And trust me, i have watched it over and over as i love watching reactions of Nightwish. No shame in Crying.. you are human! And one of us!
Hey man. What a beautiful reaction and analysis. Thank you for opening your heart with us. Don’t be sorry, I thank you for sharing that. I don’t know you, but I can tell what a beatiful person you are. Cheers from Uruguay!
Every time I listen this it amaze me how someone can write something like this... How can you not think Tuomas is genius when you hear this? 😄 This band is just something else ❤ They change my live ❤ Edit. Wise words from you! Thank you! We love your pure reaction and tears! ❤ Take care!
@@MycontentisgoldJerryGold You can even claim that "All The Works Of Nature Which Adorn The World" th-cam.com/video/RnOdQ5WNZJk/w-d-xo.html is a symphony and "Imaginaerum" is a movie. Meaning that Tuomas has already done those things.
The album, orchestral version has a line spoken by Dawkins, something like: "It never seems to occur to people, that a man might just want to write a piece of music"!
In 2015 in a dutch TV show Floor reunited with her old classmates from highschool. There were also interviews with her parents. Then they all went to this gig in Finland. It was the first time for her parents to be in the (Nightwish) audience. Maybe that made her do her very best. That Dutch program is also on TH-cam with English subtitles.
Nightwish Army North Carolina Chapter reporting for duty. I am a thrash metal die-hard but Nightwish is just musical genius. Plus they are humble and just love people and want to spread joy and love.
I feel you, I am in tears after listening to this piece, almost every time. Reflecting on the grandeur of nature, mortality, and the beauty of humanity and the incredible miracle of our consciousness just makes me weep. This is one of those things that led me away from the darkness...because how dare I snuff out my own life, when this is so precious? Just the ability to appreciate nature, poetry, art, music, thinking about our vast collective history and creativity, makes me want to be a part of it.
Hello again, Wolff. Our beautiful Nightwish inspires the world. Thank you,Tuomas. Thank you Floor. Thank you Empuu and Marko and Troy and Kai. Such joy from such a magnificent group. This is an experience that goes beyond Music. Thank you for this reaction. Loved it.
I had the absolute good fortune and pleasure to see Nightwish perform this live. It blew the doors off any expectations I had. I have been to over 200 major concerts and this is easily one of the biggest highlights of that journey!
A band of good people. A band that speaks what is in their mind, their hearts. A band that respects its fans and trusts us to look deep within ourselves. This song is the prime proof of that. The music is beautiful, both the instrumental and the vocal. Everyone worked their hardest (like they always do) to produce an experience for us. And, I think, an experience for them. Can you imagine how they all must feel when the perform this utter masterpiece? We are so privileged to have them, to know that they are in this world, in this time. No matter how many times I listen to this, I always come away with something new. And, perhaps that is the true definition of a masterpiece. It is never done teaching us.
I understand why most people suggest the Tampere-Version. And yes, the synced fireworks and the use of the flute by Troy suits me also better, don't know why he used an E-Guitar with the e-bow in Wembley. (Which still sounds great). But also they fire all the fireworks at the end of Tampere, for me the Wembley-Version has a more emotional ending, so I recommend to do both versions. To this reaction: really enjoyed it, because of how you reacted to the music parts and changes within the song. Keep up the good work 💖
Dude ! I am 70 years of age and have listened to music for most of my life but this band has woken me up to real lyrics and fantastic music my friends say I'm too old to listen to this,to them I say just take the time to get into Nightwish, thank you for your heartfelt reaction 😢
⭐🎇 WE WERE HERE 🎇 ⭐ "The Greatest Show on Earth" What a song, beautiful lyrics the message ⭐ Thank You Richard Dawkins... Thank You Nightwish 🤘 Thank You 💙 for you emotional words you said 😢 Love from the Netherlands 🇳🇱
If you can watch after a 2 hour performance and still listen to a 20 minute performance that was executed to perfection, that's what they call the cherry on the cake (expression we use in Belgium). What Floor conjures up her sleeve here is exceptional, phenomenal🎶🎶🤟🏻🤟🏻
In my humble opinion, this is probably one of the greatest songs ever written in any genre. Such depth of story-telling, complexity of composition, and grandeur of performance. There is so much going on in this video that you need to watch it numerous times to pick up all of the subtleties. For example, the section of part III that slows down (starting around 17:11 in your reaction vid) outlines a history of music going from Gregorian chants to Bach to a riff from Metallica, while the visuals go from a snake (which tempted Adam and Eve to eat from the tree of knowledge), to an age of innocence (child on a swing) to a nuclear blast all in less than a minute. Kai’s drums have images of DNA on them, and the ‘rock’ that Troy is sitting on has fossils in it. You have lyrics from Richard Dawkin’s book (also called Greatest Show on Earth) and from Charles Darwin’s Origin of Species. Simply epic on every possible level. Looking forward to your next reaction. Keep up the great work. Greetings from the NW Army (Sydney, Australia Division 🇦🇺🤘)
They are literal life savers both physically and emotionally. I love being inspired and uplifted, especially through music. Great reaction...of course 😊
Please don’t apologize for your tears. Nightwish = Emotion. You matter! We all matter ❤🙏🏻 I discovered them about 4 years ago and it’s changed my life for the better. Keep on going with your reactions. You’re real & genuine and I appreciate that.
U pick right one, Tampere's gig was special. I have listen NW since their first single to play on radio. Also during this song 14.11.2021 in Oslo NW remembered Children of Bodom's guitarist /vocalist Alexi Laiho who died way too young end of dec 2020.. his photo stays a while there when comes that Part: We were here..
Nightwish Army New Zealand trench division reporting in. Depression is a killer walks in nature enjoying the magic of the world and helping others is the key to help heal and find the worth we feel in ourself. We are not born on this earth to own the planet and fight each other over it we are born to share this planet and take care of others.
"We are going to die and that makes us the lucky once....." Since my little 4 year young son passed away 6 month ago, i'm fucking crying every time i hear this Song. Yes. We all were sooooo lucky, that my son was here. "We were Here" He was here. I am thankful that He was here. But fuck. I miss him so so so much.😞
This band did something to you. I think you're going to have a lot of reactions on that sentence. They came in my life Oktober 2019 thought Floor Jansen being in De Beste Zangers. I tought I didn't like metal, but I loved her voice and Vilja lied sang by her to Henk Poort gave me goosebumps. While working I tried Nightwish wiht GLS and I was sold. Since then I listen to Nightwish every day and to reaction channels seeing people falling in love with Nightwish. I think dude is your favourite word 😅 Great reaction 👍🏼🇵🇾🧡
haha Dude has been my word since I was a kid. It just stuck. Thank you so much for the love and kind words as always. I have really enjoyed this band so much!
Great reaction my friend! A 20 minute journey through the evolution of Earth and it's life. The final quote from Richard Dawkins is so inspirational. You nailed how uplifting this song is. That just by existing we are special and meaningful. When I saw them live last May in Boston the end of the setlist was so inspirational and uplifting. Ghost Love Score, Last Ride of the Day, The Greatest Show on Earth, and Ad Astra for the outro. I have never left a show so inspired to go out and live my life to the fullest and to treasure my time here. Note that Ad Astra (8th movement from 30 minute orchestral piece All the Works of Nature which Adorn the World) contains a spoken word section from Carl Sagan's Pale Blue Dot that is as impactful as Richard Dawkins words are in The Understanding section of this song (outro). Nice catch on the Enter the Sandman riff (Tuomas is a big fan and during an exchange year in high school his host American family took him to a Metallica concert where he fell in love with heavy metal, huge thanks to that family). It was at teh end of a section of the song dedicated to the evolution of music. The section includes short excerpts from Dies Irae, Minuet in G major by Christian Petzold, Toccata and Fugue in D minor, BWV 565 by Johann Sebastian Bach and a Tibetan chant sung by male parts of the choir with the enter the Sandman riff. I'll leave it to others to explain all the evolutionary references in the lyrics but know that this song takes it's title from one of Richard Dawkins books whose writings inspired this song and the title of the album, Endless Forms Most Beautiful comes from Charles Darwin's On origin of Species quote that you heard read by Dawkins right at the end of the song. Evolution and life truly are The Greatest Show on Earth.
I came to read Sir Richard Dawlins through this song, beyond the beauty and the wilderness of the music and lyrics : the depth and the construction are amazing. And I keep on thinking that Troy brings a lot to the band, above all in this one. In the Wembley live version, Sir Richard Dawlins come to speak at the end. I think you're ready for the Poet and the Pendulum, another masterpiece. ^^ Thanks a lot : I travel some days and won't be connected, watching t his one just befoce cutting fron the Internet is a great gift ;-)
First of all, big virtual hug to you ❤ I was waiting for this reaction from the first NW reaction from you I saw, I knew you would absolutely be blown away by it and your reaction didn't disappoint at all😁🤘 It is absolutely crazy what Nightwish does with us, not only great music, great voice, but the lyrics are so smart and deep and like nothing i've ever heard before. it feels like nightwish has some kind of master key to our most inner feelings, thoughts and emotions.. I would give everything I have to have a look inside Tuomas' brain for just 5 min, man it must be crazy in there. The amount of times nightwish made me cry is probably higher than there are stars in the universe by now and i honestly feel like i've changed/grown since i discvered this beautiful band bc of them.. Sidenote: damn Floor looks like a true godess in that video and she is absolutely aware and feeling that, that charisma!
They make you think, but IMO they always hit you in the feels. To me they pulled me (kicking and screaming I admit) out of second lockdown depression back into the world 🌎. This song is just the cherry on top. Peace ✌ out.
Too true Cosmic...kindness costs nothing..We humans take our sacred existence for granted...We must find the bueaty in ourselves..We are perfectly imperfect. Thankyou Cosmic.. Emotions are there to be expressed and the ending of this magnificent performance...'We were here!' gets me everytime.. Take care Cosmic..🤗
i love when she dresses up like a warrior Valkyrie princess and as animated as her stage presence is as commanding as ever and epic music pieces that they make and weave and flow she is a good entertainer what she does with her voice is stellar i don't there are alot of rock and metal singers that have that kind of power i their voice
This is a good piece to remember when a classically trained snob hints at music was done with Mozart etc. We are living at the same time as timeless art is being made.
I think, that's the main aim of music and musicianship/art, if I may say so, - to provoke the emphathy, feel the emotions, to look deep into yourself and discover the true feelings, to acknowledge your being. You're a very kind person, glad to see you and your thoughts.
Nightwish with Floor opened up my eyes too. I've been a big music fans since a teenager in the early 1980's; and when I discovered Nightwish during the pandemic, it was an amazing journey. They are one of only 4-5 bands that I can play daily, and not get sick of. While I now own every album the band has done, the ones with Floor on vocals get 99% of the playback. And the line up versions with Marco and Floor is the best for me. The new bassist is doing a kick ass job; but it is so very hard to replace a singer like Marco, plus the fact that he and Floor harmonize so well together.
It was a stunning performance of an incredible piece of art created by an unearthly talent. You're going to have to hope that they go back on the road in 2025.
Yes My Friend, Nightwish, are Truly inspirational, there is not, or will there ever be another band like them for sure, they are indeed a one off. But as you said they are just 6 people with a Dream, maybe we should all be more like them. This is why I have followed this Band, since 1997, and been been to 25 live shows all over Europe. And You did a Dam fine Fine Review of this performance. Thank You Cosmic so much.
This song just never cease to blow my mind. How it starts slow and softly with just the keys, then Troy joins in and makes me feel like i'm sitting outside a celtic village watching when the fairies starts to dance in the evening mist , and then BOOM!, the whole band goes full throttle and the epic ride through the history of the earth is in full motion..., until the ride is over and it gets all peaceful again. Only Tuomas and NW can make a song, or rather an experience, named The greatest show on earth that totally lives up to the name.
Thank you so much for your reaction video to this song and your heart-felt commentary at the end. Nightwish is the band that changed my musical tastes, preferences and direction forever. The song was Ghost Love Score. I was left stunned and speechless, literally standing there with my mouth hanging open. Then I discovered THIS song and realized it was an absolute masterpiece, musically and lyrically, deep and profound. As a man of science, it has become my all-time favorite song. Every time I watch this video I am overwhelmed with emotion - goosebumps, chills and tears.
I am a musician. I play guitar and keyboards. Music is my life. I love this channel because you listen. You don`t just react. That makes all the difference.
Yet another excellent reaction. It was refreshing to hear that your reason for having a TH-cam was purely for the music and not for monetary gain. Props to you for that. The Greatest Show On Earth transcends mere music. From the synchronised fireworks at the beginning to the soaring orchestral score at the end this is truly a masterpiece.
It's not a song, it's an experience. One you won't likely forget! It gets into the soul, of what it is to be human, what to make of our time here, and we are one. I love that part, with floor seemly arms out to infinity saying "We are one, we are universe.." And the final cry sometime, way in the future I hope, is that "We were here!" Pare that with Ad Astra from disk 2 of Human II Nature.. well I won't spoil that for you as you might do that one on the future but so good, so deep... not ashamed to say they both have brought tears to my eyes. I could gush on more, but Opus Perfectum indeed Nightwish. TY soooo much for this reaction, this piece of art is part of my being now. Inspirational is a great way to say it. I wish more could see and understand the message. I feel a deep connection to all when I.. not hear but FEEL this. We ARE one, let's treat each other like it. One small act of kindness and understanding at a time, that's all it takes. ❤ you all.. ✌️
Similar story here as a 57 year old music lover who had not heard of Nightwish or Floor until around 18 months ago. I've been blown away by them ever since 🙏😊👍❤️
I told u man. This was great on location - we were around 15 meters in front of Troy, but on Blu-ray this has definitely grown into something much bigger. Thankfully the production quality on these Floor era releases have been excellent.
Fellow edge-jumper here who made it through. Theres no going back after that. DONT BE SORRY, CRYING IS NOT A WEAKNESS. Great reaction, stay strong! Thank you.
I feel you... These songs that Tuomas makes, has so deep meaning here in Finland too. This reflects the Finnish soul so deeply, and have so powerful effect.
Hi Cosmic!... thank you for your words, your sincerity and I think we have all cried listening this masterpiece by Nightwish...6 guys that after know them it is impossible to forget them...greetings from your friend Oscar from Colombia!...
Your comments after the video, hit me in the feels too. Dealing with my mental illness as well as my youngest daughter who has attempted many times. All due to bullying. She loves this song as well as I do. And it has helped her grieve a bit differently. You are a beautiful soul. And thank you for being here, and being you.
I've watched this performance dozens of times and this time I noticed a little detail that speaks volumes about how connected the band and the audience were. At one point Floor encourages the audience to clap, then there's a drop, Floor sweeps her arms out in a cut motion and the clapping stops dead. Over 22,000 people in attendance acting as one.
Thanks above all for sharing your emotions and thoughts. Time is never wasted, as far as I can see (and I'm more aged than you ^^) : it teaches us something everytimes. What we've been through is part of our personnal path, and it's finally very confortable to learn ourselves and what we're able to, and what we can hang on with. It's a long long journey, it's emotionnal and often suffering, but thant's never a waste, I promise !! Haut les coeurs !
Hey bro!!! Loved your reaction!!!! What less can you expect when all the members of the band are the best in what they do? Thanks. Greettings from Argentina. Sorry for my English. Don't be sorry.
Hi man, took me 35 years to feel like I am not a complete failure. I get those emotions. This music just does something to you to bring these feelings out, and it is healthy to feel it and let it go.
No matter what you lived, you were here
"This band has done something to me"
Maybe the revelation that live performance can be an art of its own?
Floor's parents were in the audience for this concert. Can you imagine how proud they must have felt? Floor said in an interview briefly before the concert that she would have to avoid looking at where here parents were sitting or she'd break down in tears on stage.
As someone who attended this concert I can confirm I lost my voice entirely while screaming WE WERE HEREEEEEEEEE
And THAT, ladies and gents, is how you end a concert. That's probably the most epic finale I've ever seen.
We were here .
As always... (and thank you for re-introducing the word 'dude' into this world)

We have won the lottery of life , live, love & be happy
indeed!
@@annehoog Dutch were like, you got so lucky when they signed you! we Finns were like, we were so lucky she said yes!😄
her younger sister Irene was there as well
A song about everything. Past, present, future, astronomy, cosmology, physics, birth of life, evolution, human psychology, chaos theory, the short evolution of human civilization. Preserving nature, philosophy.
All that with lots of emotions and heart.
amazing song
Every Nightwish fan has that one song that just rips them in the feels... this one is that for me. Those Dawkins and Charles Darwin quotes really slap you into sharp perspective...and provoke you into remembering just how lucky we are, despite life's hardships, that we are here!
And we are here together ❤️
We are indeed.
I absolutely agree Amy, same for me. Also that Sagan quote in As Astra, never fails to get tears in my eyes
I concur
@TheWolffAndTheMelody The band prolly never thought of...but a big part of enjoying Nightwish, is enjoying it with other ppl!
I have no words...this song was insane
The greatest show on earth referes to evolution on earth. Not their show!🙂
And why do you think, I don't know that? @@monicacarolina6480
Imagine if they turned it into a film. 🤔
The song, and it's title were inspired by the Richard Dawkins book, The Greatest Show On Earth.
You my friend are a part of The Greatest Show on Earth.
Man, he took his time in the sun
Had a dream to understand
A single grain of sand
He gave birth to poetry
But one day’ll cease to be
Greet the last light of the library
We were here!
We see you Cosmic. I told you that it would change the way that you view everything, Tuomas is a great teacher. Just to add some perspective, there are over 70 trillion possible combinations of human DNA, and you are more likely to win the lottery jackpot 240,000 times in a row than you are to be born. We are all very special indeed.
appreciate you Dusk! So much!
Sweet, the Tampere version.. thank god. Keep it up mate. Nightwish never ceases to surprise, nor do they ever disappoint. Stay safe, stay awesome
So Glad you are here dude! Much Love!
Im super grateful that this great band "has done something to me" for 25 years ❤
I just cant get enough!
A few weeks later, he sent me an email accepting the invitation."
"Later in 2014, we recorded his parts at Hats Off Studios, Oxford. This is a huge honour for us, as Dawkins is one of our greatest heroes and his writings have been a huge inspiration for the album."
I appreciate your emotional reaction man, it shows you get it. 🤘
Much love friend!
Great job Cosmic. As Floor says, we are "broken, but beautiful"
Dude! Appreciate you soo much!
oh we need a reaction to some of her solo stuff, like Storm, My Paragon and of course Invincible❤
Every time they get to "We Were Here" I burst into tears. EVERY TIME.
Nice one, We were here..
Greetings from NW-Army-Germany and SabatonFan ❤🔥
Much Love dude!
Every time I listen to this song makes feel grateful of being here
I couldn't wait to see your reaction to this one, and you didn't disappoint. My first reaction was very similar. One of my favorites!!
DUDE! THIS JUST RIPPED ME APART!
I saw that Ringly brothers circus is on tour again, and their tag line is “ the greatest show in earth”, to which I say NAY… THIS is.
This is a compositional masterpiece. There is no band today that effects people in the way that Nightwish does. Tuomas is the maestro without equal. Thank you for you emotional reaction ❤
Tampere, Tampere, the Cradle of the Evolution. 😎👍
Subbed.
Their music just gives me goosebumps and lifts my spirits so much, music is such a powerful thing
You said it best
i cry everytime it comes to the "We Were Here!" it draws you into the human collective immediately and makes me feel like part of something bigger than myself. And, i get that feeling every single time i listen to this or watch it. And trust me, i have watched it over and over as i love watching reactions of Nightwish. No shame in Crying.. you are human! And one of us!
much love friend!
😄 This band is just something else ❤ They change my live ❤
Edit. Wise words from you! Thank you! We love your pure reaction and tears! ❤ Take care!
much love friend
Tuomas has the chops to write symphonies or score films if he wanted. The outro is amazing
Thanks for this - I watched it. Very interesting and uplifting document also behind this great Tampere show.
Loved it.
appreciate you rick!
I had the absolute good fortune and pleasure to see Nightwish perform this live. It blew the doors off any expectations I had. I have been to over 200 major concerts and this is easily one of the biggest highlights of that journey!
Me too, twice. ❤
@@k.l.7788 that is awesome. I have only seen them once, but have also seen Tarja live, which was also pretty amazing.
Keep up the good work 💖
Much love friend! This was incredible
Thankful to be here, enjoying every moment of of the life WE WERE HERE my friend WE ARE HERE
It is great art in every imaginable way from the music to the lyrics to the stage show. What Tuomas writes is so deep.
Dude ! I am 70 years of age and have listened to music for most of my life but this band has woken me up to real lyrics and fantastic music my friends say I'm too old to listen to this,to them I say just take the time to get into Nightwish, thank you for your heartfelt reaction 😢
I appreciate you steve so much for sharing your story! MUch love! We are never too old for Music!

"The Greatest Show on Earth"
What a song, beautiful lyrics the message ⭐
Thank You Richard Dawkins...
Thank You Nightwish 🤘
Thank You 💙 for you emotional words you said 😢
Love from the Netherlands 🇳🇱
The peak performance of a band at the top of their game.
They are literal life savers both physically and emotionally. I love being inspired and uplifted, especially through music. Great reaction...of course 😊
Please don’t apologize for your tears. Nightwish = Emotion.
You matter! We all matter ❤🙏🏻
I discovered them about 4 years ago and it’s changed my life for the better. Keep on going with your reactions. You’re real & genuine and I appreciate that.
I apprrciate you and the kind words so much
U pick right one, Tampere's gig was special.
"We are going to die and that makes us the lucky once....."
Since my little 4 year young son passed away 6 month ago, i'm fucking crying every time i hear this Song.
Yes. We all were sooooo lucky, that my son was here. "We were Here" He was here. I am thankful that He was here. But fuck. I miss him so so so much.😞
Much love to you friend. My heart goes with you.
It was and is a statement. More than music. Then came the Human Nature album and I cannot wait for the final chapter next year!
Evolution and life truly are The Greatest Show on Earth.
dude appreciate you man! I loved this song!
They always do something for their listener!!😢🥰
I came to read Sir Richard Dawlins through this song, beyond the beauty and the wilderness of the music and lyrics : the depth and the construction are amazing. And I keep on thinking that Troy brings a lot to the band, above all in this one. In the Wembley live version, Sir Richard Dawlins come to speak at the end.
I think you're ready for the Poet and the Pendulum, another masterpiece. ^^
Thanks a lot : I travel some days and won't be connected, watching t his one just befoce cutting fron the Internet is a great gift ;-)
I reacted to the Poet and the Pendulum
@@TheWolffAndTheMelody and I've watched your react. Rhoooo am I tired or were I toi emotionnal. Sorry
This band and specially this song is so emotional for me
WE WERE HERE!
Every thing about this is just incredible. It's really something you have to experience. No words do it justice
so true!
This entire show is a masterpiece of perfection!! You must see it all!
It's quite the ride, right? Such a beautiful piece of music. The "we were here" gets me every time. Tuomas is such a great composer
Thank you for sharing your thoughts and emotions. Love your reactions. WE ARE HERE! Greetings from germany with love
I think, that's the main aim of music and musicianship/art, if I may say so, - to provoke the emphathy, feel the emotions, to look deep into yourself and discover the true feelings, to acknowledge your being. You're a very kind person, glad to see you and your thoughts.
much love my friend
Nightwish with Floor opened up my eyes too. I've been a big music fans since a teenager in the early 1980's; and when I discovered Nightwish during the pandemic, it was an amazing journey. They are one of only 4-5 bands that I can play daily, and not get sick of. While I now own every album the band has done, the ones with Floor on vocals get 99% of the playback. And the line up versions with Marco and Floor is the best for me. The new bassist is doing a kick ass job; but it is so very hard to replace a singer like Marco, plus the fact that he and Floor harmonize so well together.
Probably the best reaction to this song I have seen. Thank you
Thanks so much friend!
Your very welcome. From over here in Sydney 👍
Thank you for taking the time to reach out to those of us broken ones.
much love friend.
It was a stunning performance of an incredible piece of art created by an unearthly talent. You're going to have to hope that they go back on the road in 2025.
great track! Nice one man!
much love my bro!
I've seen them perform this twice live, here in the US. It never gets old!
That means alot!
UK Army popping in to say WE WERE HERE
Yet another excellent reaction.
I love that part, with floor seemly arms out to infinity saying "We are one, we are universe.." And the final cry sometime, way in the future I hope, is that "We were here!"
Pare that with Ad Astra from disk 2 of Human II Nature.. well I won't spoil that for you as you might do that one on the future but so good, so deep... not ashamed to say they both have brought tears to my eyes.
❤ you all.. ✌️
dude much love friend! This was such an experience!
We were here. Cosmic, you are a genuine soul. Thanks for sharing it with us.
Im starting to see that this is more than a reaction channel
my fav song of all time found them last year aged 60 iv never heard a singer like floor the rest is now history

Don't be sorry.
much love friend! this was amazing
Thanks. I want more, please
Don't be sorry. You do the right way. I enjoy your reactions. 😃
Hi man, took me 35 years to feel like I am not a complete failure. I get those emotions. This music just does something to you to bring these feelings out, and it is healthy to feel it and let it go.
