I went on that Sub when it was a floating museum in Folkestone in the 90s and how they lived on them for weeks or months i don't know. Such a shame to see it in this state now and hope someone can fund its restoration for future visitors.
you have just taken me back in time, to a point where I spent a lot of my professional life providing equipment for Medway Ports, and 'Blue Town' , where I was able to indulge myself in learning about the history of the area. Once again thank you for sharing.... you always know how happy your Springer is by the amount of mud it can collect in their adventure. ☺
@dylanskinner1898 Yeah, I wish I had a drone there at that time. There was a chap flying one while we were there, and I wished I'd asked him if he could have sent me some footage. Thanks for your comment.

I'm glad you like it, and yours sounds like an interesting story!
The Grain Fort, I think, is an exceptional piece of history.
Thanks again!
@@TheCountyTrekker for sure, it is a shame that this important piece of several definitive parts of our history is being left to decay.
Awesome video as a local I fly my drone round these areas all the time

I like the way the tower was bound around with two massive chains, presumably to strengthen it.

A happy dog is a muddy dog.

Great, thanks for the info 👍
Typical spaniel, straight in the mud and water, just like mine.
I thought UB122 was a WW1 sub, it broke loose whilst being towed to the scrapper and was left there to rot en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SM_UB-122
Yes I had WW2 in my head at the time but it was a WW1 U boat.
I plan to do a video on it with a drone some day.
Thanks. 👍
