- Okay, I attempted to get my previous version of this video up, but it turns out 70-80-year-old songs can't be used with my video. I had six of them, and all of them apparently violated copyright, despite my having found them all on Internet Archive. Oh well. Here's a list of what was to be included:
1. I Don't Want to Set the World on Fire-The Ink Spots
3. The Glow Worm-The Mills Brothers
5. The Little White Cloud that Cried-Johnnie Ray
7. Wish You Were Here-Eddie Fisher
8. Do Not Forsake Me (High Noon)-Tex Ritter
9. Auf Wiedersehn, Sweetheart-Vera Lynn
Since I can't use them, instead I replaced them with audio from The Conet Project. This is a group dedicated to recording audio from shortwave broadcasts, specifically ones designed to relay information to spies.
They usually play a coda followed by a series of numbers/letters to be interpreted by the receiver. These used to be relayed during the Cold War, but as I understand it, they are likely to be continuing to this day.
There are two other audio pieces on here. One is a mock piece that someone created during the Obama Presidency, created to sound like an Emergency Broadcast System piece coming out of LA and announcing a fictional nuclear launch from North Korea. The other is a bit of audio from the classic nuclear propaganda piece "Duck and Cover".
But most of the video is a new trip through The Lustron Home located in the Ohio History Connection/Museum, which is located on 17th Ave. in Columbus OH, across from the Ohio Fairgrounds and Expo Center.
And I made this video this way to hopefully appeal to fans of the TV series/game series Fallout. I hope you all enjoy the show, and I Thank You for Watching!
Thank you !
@thesecondempirestrickesback is working on restoring a real life still standing Lustron it’s pretty cool!
The audio on the vid is really hard to listen to btw! But thanks for sharing
Yeah, I apologise for that. I had intended to have period music, from 1952 (for the most part) but TH-cam claimed they were under copyright and couldn't be used. So I had to come up with a quick solution. I may try and come up with a better solution later and see if that can be uploaded.
