If you don't use the heat, you can unplug the plug from the backside of the chair. There are a few plugs, not sure which one but you can unplug and see if the heat function works or not. If not then you got it. Other than that, I cant think of any other options you would have to not turn the heat on accidentally. Hope this helps!
