What I love is how professional they are to each other. Its like they both care about each other as human beings. This scene irritates me now since going through criminal procedure in law school. You can't have an open ended warrant to search for "any other" violation of federal law. You can only search for what is particularly described in the warrant. Also, giving Tony half of the Miranda warnings makes no sense since they weren't interrogating him there and it's not required for a search warrant to be executed.

I always thought this scene was the first in the show to illustrate Meadow’s changing viewpoints towards the mob. Is she mortified to see Tony in custody a day before she graduates high school? Yes. But immediately after she calms down a bit she talks to Carmela about how Tony is pretty much the reason her and AJ actually have anything. This point is further demonstrated at the end of the third season where they are at Jackie Jr’s funeral and she is telling Jackie’s sister to keep the information about the mob under wraps. By the end of the show, she’s off to law school in hopes of defending people like Tony in the future. What goes around comes around

Actually because the warrant was issued solely on the stolen airline tickets and they found them in his car it now gives them probable cause so it becomes a warrantless search. Its a smart move on the Feds part because a Judge will simply saw if they went there looking for airline tickets and found them in the car then its justified for them to assume they're in the house also.

If Tony had hidden the other illegal items, the defence attourney should potentially be able to get the court to throw out the evidence from the case.

I come from a VERY small town. Years ago, in our police department, they didn't even have a cell like THIS one. They had this chair which was some kind of contraption that they would strap you into!
The county jail were I live have these exact cages when your brought in waiting to be processed. Then you go to a cell block 2 to a room with bars and during the day your cell is open and you are in a bigger room with tables and TV and showers then at 9 you have to lock back down in your two man cell.

The Meadow shown here is the one Tony and Carmela wanted, the one who knew her father was at fault and wanted to completely disassociate from mob life and potentially become a doctor and help people. Actually, they could very easily justify anything else they find searching the house for any additional tickets, depending on how they're described in the warrant. If the Warrant was very specific, i.e. stating something like "Two stolen airline tickets to X destination" ... if that's what they found in the car, then you might be right. But if the warrant were less specific I.e. saying just "Stolen airline tickets", then they could keep searching every nook and cranny to see if there are any more on top of the two they already found. Anything else illegal they'd find is also fair game.

But they were a generic ticket. You will pay a high rate and have some restrictions, but it is the easy way to give tickets as a prize as the destination would be unknown. Reality is they were vouchers Tony won for being customer of the year, not "tickets." The voucher becomes a ticket.

I always thought this scene was the first in the show to illustrate Meadow’s changing viewpoints towards the mob. Is she mortified to see Tony in custody a day before she graduates high school? Yes. But immediately after she calms down a bit she talks to Carmela about how Tony is pretty much the reason her and AJ actually have anything. This point is further demonstrated at the end of the third season where they are at Jackie Jr’s funeral and she is telling Jackie’s sister to keep the information about the mob under wraps. By the end of the show, she’s off to law school in hopes of defending people like Tony in the future. What goes around comes around

Actually because the warrant was issued solely on the stolen airline tickets and they found them in his car it now gives them probable cause so it becomes a warrantless search. Its a smart move on the Feds part because a Judge will simply saw if they went there looking for airline tickets and found them in the car then its justified for them to assume they're in the house also.

That's not how it works. Warrantless searches are only permissible if there's a danger of harm or immediate loss of evidence (for example, drugs being flushed down). Only illegal items specified in the warrant (the airline tickets) or found in plain sight (for example, drugs on a table) are permissible into evidence.
The feds simply got the warrant so search the entire house and car for the airline tickets. If Tony had hidden the other illegal items, the defence attourney should potentially be able to get the court to throw out the evidence from the case.

She says "persecute" like it's a line from the Bible and they are going after Tony for crimes he did not commit. She knows who Tony is and what he does but is always in this denial and delusion at the same time. I think she tells herself that Tony is a union rep in Waste Management and he just dabbles in gambling, loan sharking, and occasional adultery and that is the extent of it.

No, she knows full well he's the boss. She just loved everything that came with it, in the later seasons she starts to come to the realisation of what terrible people all of them are including herself and tries to take certain measures and stances to force change for the better.

Adriana had strong ties with the mob community being that Ritchie was her Uncle and she lived in Jersey her whole life. She was very close with her mother. I think she knew she wouldn't just completely disappear even if she and Chris broke up. She wasn't stupid but just buried her head in the sand about it

I come from a VERY small town. Years ago, in our police department, they didn't even have a cell like THIS one. They had this chair which was some kind of contraption that they would strap you into!
The county jail were I live have these exact cages when your brought in waiting to be processed. Then you go to a cell block 2 to a room with bars and during the day your cell is open and you are in a bigger room with tables and TV and showers then at 9 you have to lock back down in your two man cell.

Meadow getting mad at her dad for getting arrested juxtaposes her reactions in season 6 when she gets mad at the cops instead. The Meadow shown here is the one Tony and Carmela wanted, the one who knew her father was at fault and wanted to completely disassociate from mob life and potentially become a doctor and help people. They didn't want her to become a mobbed up lawyer, and marry a DiMeo family underling.

The FBI were actually super professional towards Tony. They let him get changed and put him in a nice single cell.
Actually, people who are arrested by the feds do no go to local, country or state jails/prisons. This was only a temporary holding area while they processed him. If they held him, it would have been at a federal holding facility.

Actually, they could very easily justify anything else they find searching the house for any additional tickets, depending on how they're described in the warrant. If the Warrant was very specific, i.e. stating something like "Two stolen airline tickets to X destination" ... if that's what they found in the car, then you might be right. But if the warrant were less specific I.e. saying just "Stolen airline tickets", then they could keep searching every nook and cranny to see if there are any more on top of the two they already found. Anything else illegal they'd find is also fair game.

@@subunite Airlines will do anything for a buck. In this case, David ordered airline tickets to give out as customer of the month and employee of the year, then David refused to pay for them. But they were a generic ticket. You will pay a high rate and have some restrictions, but it is the easy way to give tickets as a prize as the destination would be unknown.
Reality is they were vouchers Tony won for being customer of the year, not "tickets." The voucher becomes a ticket.
